This is the cutest little place! So charming! Family owned. Service from the father (owner) and his son & daughter was exceptional. Excellent food and drinks. Would totally recommend, and will be back again.

Joseph's is a small, family-run mediterranean+ style restaurant (with a mix of Italian) in the hot-spot scene known as The Ave (along and in the surrounds of the Atlantic Avenue) in Delray Beach, FL. Joseph's is a favorite place of the locals and visitors to dine and during season (roughly October to April but especially Dec/Jan/Feb) it can be a challenge to find a table during the busy hours of the eve. I agree with one of the other Yelp reviewers that it is a "little gem" in the neighborhood that I hope will be around for a long time. I've been to Joseph's probably about 5 times since I moved to the area a few years ago and have always loved it. A few weeks ago when I last dined there, we got the grape leaves, brie, and the crap cake as apps (plus great bread), and the bartender/son Eli made us a delish espresso martini filled to the brim of the glass which he carefully delivered to our table. Joseph talked us thru the menu (his wife is the very talented cook) and for entrees we got the duck and the tuna. The duck was slightly sweet and tender, and the tuna was seared well with seeds on the sides of the sliced pieces and drizzles of sauces on the plate to swoosh-up when eating.

By the powers vested in me given by Yelp, I officially declare Joseph's the crown jewel of downtown Delray. No restaurant does it better. Family run for ever since I can remember, Joseph and his daughter/son combo are the most gracious of hosts. Always willing to strike up a conversation or crack a joke, the pleasantries alone are worth the trip. The food, however, is why you'll be coming back. The menu is mostly Lebanese and French inspired, but Mediterranean is the name of the game. The execution of simple fresh ingredients is masterful. The duck a lorange is beautifully golden and crispy on the outside, perfectly tender and juicy inside....if it's on the menu, do not hesitate! The escargot is a must! Everything that hits your table screams fine dining and leaves your wanting more. Josephs is not all about fine dining. The wine and spirits menu is so extensive, this can honestly exist alone as a wine bar. In fact, with over 2000 bottles of wine, it's in the name....Joseph's wine bar. Not my thing, but they've certainly got that covered. I'll be honest, I wasn't always fond of Joseph's. I used to frequent the restaurant next door for years and years, always curiously wondering why our neighbors were having such a great time. Perhaps it was the friendly banter from Joseph and his family, or maybe the wine had everyone giddy all along. This food brings me joy! Whatever your reason, make your way to Joseph's and I assure you you will not be disappointed!

5 stars for ambiance! Family owned restaurant - where the family cares about their customers. Friendly, attentive, and warm service. Eli the bartender (son) takes great pride in his mixology skills and we appreciated it! We ordered a beet salad to share and they split it for us. It was delicious. The duck was exceptionally good. The restaurant is on the expensive side (just like most of the rest of the neighborhood). We will definitely be returning.

We have been coming here regularly for the last few years and the experience is always excellent. Unfortunately, I do not live in the area now so the visits are not as common but we still make the trip as often as we can. All the family is so friendly. Eli always helps us with picking out a great glass or bottle of wine and his sister and father are so nice. Its amazing how much work they put into getting some amazing wines. It is very cozy and always busy so be sure to make reservations. The lamb chops are unreal. Cant wait for our next visit

I went here for a friend who was visiting from out of town. I was here a very long time ago and wasn't disappointed. It is a small place and I was very pleased with how quaint and lovely the owner and the wait staff were to us. It is a blend of Mediterranean and Lebanese food! It is totally delicious. They gave you this great bread and olive oil to begin I had the escargot au beurre blanc, garlic butter wine and oregano. I usually don't get this dish because it is so rich but once in a blue moon I do and this was that time. It was delicious. I also had the walnut crusted salmon topped with walnut garlic coconut flakes and finished with white wine lemon sauce, served with steamed vegetables and basmati rice. There isn't a dish I wouldn't like. My friend had the caesar salad with heart of romaine and garlic croutons. He also had the tuna and loved it. We skipped dessert as we were very full. No one rushed us through our meal. There was only one other group dining - they came in after us and left before us. But all was good. It definitely is a special dining place and worth it.

First time coming here. We sat at the bar since we thought we were only going for drinks and apps but ended up staying for dinner. As other reviewers have said, we were greeted By Joseph and his kids Elie and Romy. It's crazy but you really do feel warm and happy when you go to a family owned restaurant. Great human beings. So, for the food: Escargot : it was really good, more on the creamy side Grape leaves : classic Mediterranean dish. Must get. Kebabs: you can't go wrong with it. Sea bass: good flavor and great piece of fish Everyone wore masks and tables were at a great distance from each other. Definitely coming back :)

Sat outside of this quiet small lovely bistro. Our waiter was Joseph the owner. Started out with his wife's baked bread that was baked with love! It was fantastic! I ordered a glass of Reisling that was smooth and inviting. My husband ordered the chicken kebabs whereas I have been dying for their escargot and believe me it was worth the wait the escargot was smothered in garlic and covered in a light coat of bread crumbs. It met every expectation. I also ordered the Caesar salad but I was so full of happiness I had to take it home. My husband ate his plate completely! And enjoyed every morsel. Now it began to rain in the middle of our meal but the awning protected us and kept us dry. Now the real problem happened after dinner when we walked to our car and forgot where we parked it. Walking in the rain was not exciting. We called my sister who picked up the numbskulls and drove us around till we realized we had been one block away from our car. Oh!

    Tuna (appetizer)

I highly recommend this family-owned restaurant and would come again. It is a great space with outdoor seating. The service is unbeatable - lead by the owner and his children. The food is fantastic - would order everything again - the best bread and olive oil to start. Salad, Hummus, tuna ( each very light and flavorful), lamb chops, chocolate flourless cake - great.

    Steak

We went here last night. Family owned and run, they take care in every detail. The food was amazing, hummus made in house was incredible, steak was cooked exactly as we wanted, and the ambience was relaxed and charming. Highly recommend and will be going back next time in Delray.

Although it has a beautiful menu of wines and spirits, we stuck to their filtered water, and asked KC for any recommendations for lunch. He was very engaging, a wonderful communicator, and we made our selections which started with the bacon wrapped dates (YUM). Prior to my order, I mentioned a dietary restriction and KC promptly went to the kitchen to make an inquiry. I ordered the trout with lentil ragout, and my husband ordered a margarita pizza. The atmosphere was very peaceful, with unintrusive music, and we really did enjoy getting to know KC as he made sure that we were satisfied with every plate. This restaurant is upscale, yet with value pricing. Altogether, my husband and I encourage you to enjoy a lovely meal, and make sure to ask for KC! You won't be disappointed!

Also loved the atmosphere once again, it's just a very nice, open place to enjoy a meal and have a drink. We got a bunch of appetizers to start. The house made Ricotta with cracked pepper and olive oil was very delicious. I also loved the crispy zucchini slices, which were topped with peppadew peppers and a chili vinaigrette. Outstanding stuff. The seared ahi tuna was next level. The fish was fresh and beautifully seated and the mix of cucumber, aji amarillo, pineapple, cilantro and wasabi cream was sensational. One of the best dishes they make at Sixty Vines. The absolute best of the bunch was the truffle fries! They were amazing. They are basically crispy layered potatoes, almost like stacks of filo dough, fried and topped with pecorino, chives and lemon truffle cream. They were so good we ordered a second one! Considering how wonderful everything was to this point, we were expecting nothing but great things for the next course. However they completely dropped the ball and basically ruined our meal with lackluster entrees. Our party ordered the steak fries with chimichurri sauce, the double cabrenet burger, and several filet mignons. The amount of time it took to get the food was unreasonable. Once the appetizers were finished we had to wait somewhere around 20 to 25 minutes to get our mains, and the place was not that busy. I assume that the waitress just forgot or was busy with something else. As for the food, the quality of the steaks was not good all around. Everybody who got the filet mignon commented that the texture was chalky and weird. They were also all overcooked. And oddly, they decided to slice the steak before serving it, so it was very dry. Why would you pre slice a steak, all that's going to do is let the juices seep out and make the temperature drop. I honestly don't get it. The steak that came with the steak fries, I think it was a skirt steak, was also not the best cut. It was super fatty and a little chewy. The fries were good though but the meat was terrible. Finally the burger was completely overdone despite the person ordering it medium rare. Overall, not the best ending to a meal that started with such amazing dishes. Really striking contrast. And actually it made me think that I probably will not go back to Sixty Vines anytime soon. For a $350 meal they have to be doing a lot better. Dried out, overcooked steaks and burgers isn't going to cut it.
