Dada remains one of our favorite venues. Never had a bad meal there. We only sit outside (the inside is too loud). The menu doesn't change but we do not care. The DaDa dates are wonderful but the portion size (4 dates) is a bit bit small for sharing. A great option for a party of four is the Messe Board. Service always friendly and courteous. A big plus this that DaDa has its own valet parking. What do do with your car is always a problem in Delay Beach. read more

We had reservations for days in advance. When we got there they told us they couldn't honor the indoor reservation. They claimed they gave our reserved table to a previous customer. We were given an option to wait outside in the rain for 30 minutes... We opted to give our business to a more organized business. Its a big disappointment. read more

For food, I would actually give them four stars! The food is pretty good... Not amazing but very good. They have some fun and interesting flavors. That being said the staff there is so rude. It basically ruined the entire experience. I made a last-minute reservation online and there were tons of spaces left. I had a bit of a drive to get there and I actually got there much sooner than I expected. I thought it would be better to make a later reservation rather than an earlier one which I might be late for. However, I got there a good 15 minutes early before my reservation. There were lots of seats, but the hostess was so snobby. She told me since I was early she would see me closer to my reservation. Closer... I'm only 15 minutes early so you're gonna see me at the time of the reservation? Meanwhile, I could've booked something for 15 minutes earlier thought it was available. So I stood there and waited with lots of empty tables until finally. It was the time of my reservation and magically one of those tables that have been open. They finally sat at. Excited to be able to eat... The waitress comes over who is also extremely rude. She starts telling me that I'm in her way to do her job. I'm not doing anything I just sat down. She later pseudo apologizes, but not really. Ultimately, she could've found a much nicer way to address the issue she was having. Or since there were plenty of open tables, maybe she could've asked the hostess to put us in a different section but now I had this waitress all evening. She was running around a little frantic and seemed a little flustered, even though there weren't that many people there so I don't know. The look of the place is kind of charming, but the rudeness of the entire staff kind of ruins it. But I go back? Maybe. The food wasn't amazing, but it is a local spot and it was good enough to return to- but certainly would have to keep in mind that the service does really take it down two or three notches. read more

Honestly the food was kinda meh, but the atmosphere was so unique and interesting that I was still glad I came despite the average food. My vegetarian friend and I ordered three appetizers - Crispy Cauliflower, which had a basic sweet chili sauce, Parmesan truffle shoestring fries, and the grilled Brie. Perhaps our food had been sitting under a heat lamp on this busy Wednesday night, but the Brie wasn't melty, the cauliflower was lukewarm, and the fries, though plentiful, were served with pedestrian ketchup. I asked for mayo or aioli and actually got 3 sauces including a home-made ranch that made the fries tasty. We sat outside on the patio under a heat lamp next to a large Banyan tree. The lighting was fun and festive and gave a nice glow. But the real magic is inside with almost every inch covered with surrealist art and interesting artifacts. Food: 5 Service: 5 Ambiance: 5 Love Dada. It's been too long since we've visited. This is the first brunch at Dada we've experienced and it was wonderful. We met friends. Our reservation was for 11/45, we were seated immediately inside. We were in the back room and at first the room was very cold but it got better within a few minutes. The decor is beautiful, no matter which room you are in you will be surrounded by art , it enhances the experience. Our servers Jack and Nicole were exemplary. We never had to look for them or wait for anything. Jack did a great job explaining the specials and both were there to refill our drinks and check on us. Food was amazing. I ordered the grilled Brie and the Dada dates. I usually do not like things wrapped in bacon but these were pregame crispy and sweet. The Brie was served with toast, apples and grapes and it was delish. Other plates were egg and bacon sandwich, ham and cheddar omelette, eggs Benedict, and pork belly Benedict. Everyone at the table had glowing reviews on their choices. Dads had a history of an art movement, it is in a historical house , quaint and charming . Had a great dinner here the other night. Last minute... couldn't believe we got a reservation, but who's complaining and we got a table. Don't recommend that during season, if you want to eat here... book ahead. Located on Swinton, there's a paid parking garage near by, and you can always park by the library, if there's a space, for free and walk a few blocks. Located in one of the older homes on Swinton Avenue this is an amazing space. Everyone wants to sit outside, which is beautiful, under the trees and lights, but I love the character inside. Each room has its own eclectic character . Shrimp Scampi Tagliatelle- Key West Shrimp, Lemon Garlic Butter, cooked in White Wine, with Grape Tomatoes, and , Parmesan. This dish was so good. Vegan Butternut Squash Ravioli- this was different and delish The Roasted Garlic Cashew cream mixed with spinach and mushroom was unique and a lovely light meal. I read several reviews that claimed Dada was the best restaurant in Palm Beach County, so we had to give it a try. We started off with the Salvador Dali and my wife got the Passion Fruit Mojito. Both drinks were exceptional, and we loved the presentation. We opted to try several small plates and share an entree. We started with the wedge salad. It was very good with the crisp onion and fresh dressing, although not the best salad we've had (8.6/10). The bacon wrapped dates came second, which were our favorite dish. Sweet, savory, delectable. (9.3/10) Next, we got the crispy cauliflower. It was amazing how crispy this was! It tasted great too, tossed in a spicy gochujang sauce. (8.9/10) We shared the short rib entree, and were so glad that we did. The meat was tender and cooked to perfection, paired with a sweet tomato jam, mashed potatoes, and fresh green beans. If we were being very picky, the green beans seemed slightly undercooked. (9.2/10) The service was what stole the show for us. We felt that the wait staff was so attentive and treated us like royalty. We had fresh table settings for each dish, our waitress helped fix the table when it was leaning, and plates were cleared seconds after taking the first bite. Thank you! I would recommend booking for a nice evening and trying to sit outside. It was such a romantic spot as the sun began to set during dinner. PS - The experience at this place was awesome. Back again. This time for an early dinner. Sitting outside under large umbrellas was pleasant and comfortable. The waiter knew the menu well and was very helpful. They still offer the $10 starving artist. It's now grilled cheese with onion soup for dipping - a play on French onion soup. The romaine wedge with green goddess dressing is one of the best appetizers on the menu. It comes with two sections, but the chef agreed to give us 3 - we were a party of 3 and sharing. I haven't been to Dada in a few years, but I've always liked it. You definitely have to be in the right state of mind to go -- it's not just a restaurant, it's an experience. The artful setting inside this historic Delray Beach house, filled with local artwork, and the fantastic patio wrapped around a huge banyan tree give it a vibe that's impossible to duplicate. Interesting lighting, quirky artifacts everywhere, and a very cool staff all come together to create a completely laid-back, almost surreal atmosphere. The staff really makes the place -- they're super chill but also genuinely good at what they do, and many of them have been there for years. The food is very good too, but honestly, for me it's secondary to the feeling you get just being there. When I go, I look forward to grabbing a seat on the patio, enjoying the setting, the people who work there, and a glass of wine or two. There's really no place like Dada. Really like the Crispy Cauliflower w Yuzu Sweet Chili Sauce. I used to love their Crab Cakes served with a Corn Salsa. The corn salsa was great, but Crab Cake was a little fishy. Better would have been Grilled Brie. I'm not a fan of dates, but many love the Dada Dates. Gruyere Risotto was excellent. Their Dada Burger was very good, as were the Fries. Good wines by the glass. What can I say about DaDa? I was looking for a casual spot to have dinner on a week night and tried them out. The outside seating of the restaurant was completely booked. The outside has a nice patio feel to it. After our waitress seated us inside, she excitedly told us the table is a cork board! How cool is that?!? I won a few games of tic tak toe..lol The food was delicious! I had the freebird chicken with roaitto. Chicken was perfectly cooked and juicy. Highly recommend the Mezza board for grazing. Updating my review after the managers quick response and clarification about key west shrimp... I really wanted to leave a 5 star review here but felt I can only leave a 4. If I was to rate Dada on service and ambience alone it would be 5 stars all the way. We enjoyed eating outside with beautiful weather at Dada. 75 degree weather during Thanksgiving week is not weather I am used to in Atlanta. We sat at a large table in the corner outside with a beautiful view of other tables and the courtyard. Heather was an excellent waitress! It was clear she was busy with other tables but she took whatever time we needed to answer questions, explain the menu options, and offer recommendations. She checked in on us regularly. Someone else in our party was picking up the tab so there were no appetizers and waters all around. That is usually a sure sign of bad service to follow but not the case here. Service was excellent! When the kitchen staff brought out the food, they took time to speak with us and talk about the food instead of just rushing back to the kitchen to bring out another meal. It was clear that the restaurant treats their employees well in turn leading to great customer service. Someone got a burger they enjoyed. I heard the chicken sandwich was good. My wife got the meatloaf and enjoyed it albeit a little pricey for meatloaf. I ordered what I hoped to be the star of the show - the shrimp scampi tagliatelle. They even brought a spoon out for my pasta without me even needing to ask. The noodles were definitely homemade and wonderful, fresh, with a nice texture and taste. When I think about shrimp scampi, I think garlic, butter, white wine. I tasted the tomato and the pangrattato but very little of what I expected. Key west pink shrimp sounded fresh and yummy but the texture and taste were not what I was expecting either. I later learned that key west shrimp are different than normal shrimp and the texture is intended to melt in your mouth. It was not a bad dish - just not what I expected for shrimp scampi. We decided to try the banana bread dessert with Cinnamon Toast Crunch on top and added ice cream. It was a yummy dessert to top off the evening I would recommend that. I'll definitely Dada again in the future because everything else was excellent except for my dish. read more

We were a group of 10 having an early dinner at 5 pm on Saturday evening prior to our show a few miles away at the Delray Beach Playhouse at 7:30. We sat in the back room, which was adorable with hanging glass balls from the ceiling. It was very festive and fun. We sat at a long table, but we were able to talk because it was quiet still at that time before the crowds came. We started with drinks and appetizers. Appetizers that were ordered were: pork bellies, seafood strudel, and a baked Brie board with apple and grapes. Everything was delicious. Afterward, some ordered entrees. I had the hamburger with crispy fries and Paul had the meatloaf. The menu as well as the venue is eclectic. It's truly a fun place to frequent. Service was excellent. Valet parking is available for $5. There is street parking also if you come early enough. There is inside and outside seating. What's better than dinner at Dada? A pre fixe dinner with appetizer and dessert included! We went to Dada for the Taste of South Florida Sept pre fixe dinner. Not surprisingly the place was busy on a Sat night with lots of diners having the same mindset. Having made a reservation, we had virtually no wait. My wife and I each ordered the pre fixe meal. We shared the appetizers: Dada dates with bacon and a tangy sauce; and the crispy cauliflower with a sweet chili sauce. While the chili sauce had the perfect level of spiciness, we were a little disappointed that the cauliflower wasn't as crispy as we had expected. Still delicious though. The date appetizer was excellent with an amazing mix of flavors. The only puzzlement was that the menu stated it came with goat cheese, but the cubed items on top seemed to be potatoes rather than cheese. It was terrific regardless of the topping. We each had the short rib entree, which came with mashed potatoes, green beans and a tomato compote. The beef was so tender and the portion size was larger than I expected. The green beans tasted a bit salty albeit flavorful. We truly enjoyed the dish. For dessert we shared the warm banana bread with caramel sauce. The menu stated the dessert included whipped mascarpone, but that didn't appear on the plate. The cinnamon crunch topping came in the form of cinnamon toast crunch cereal. It would have been better if the cereal had been crumbled into a topping rather than left whole as an afterthought on top of the bread. Overall, the banana bread dessert was a bit disappointing. On the other hand, the "unadulterated double chocolate pecan brownie" with chocolate mousse and caramel sauce was an unadulterated hit. The brownie was warm, soft and chewy. And my wife, a confessed chocoholic, was in nirvana with the chocolate mousse. So, so good! After consuming all that food (yes, I know a doggie bag was an option but we couldn't stop eating everything!), we realized that the better approach would have been to order one pre fixe dinner, share the appetizer and dessert, and order a separate entree. On the positive side, we were able to try more apps and desserts. Dada is a great restaurant with terrific service and delicious food. We'll be back even without the pre fixe deal. Wow! The ambiance of Dada is quaint & casual. However, the service makes you feel like you're at an upscale restaurant. They have an extensive delicious list of mojitos. The burger was phenomenal and they allow you to choose the temperature you want it cooked to. The same for the salmon. Which was also delicious. Arrived forty-five minutes early for a group brunch at this historic Delray Beach house, which has been renovated to a restaurant serving artsy American eats. Took refuge at the bar with my wife. Met with the sole bartender, Sergio, who was animated and made a perfectly executed Bloody Mary for the wife, then cracked open an ice cold can of Funky Buddha beer to quench my undeniable thirst. Sergio also provided some feedback on a few of Dada's special brunch options which we took advantage of a little later. Every space indoors and Outdoors has eclectic decor, without being extensive the menu provides a wide variety of options for every pallet, and the wait staff is always very friendly and helpful. Seeing as how its been 14 years since I was last at DADA and last reviewed it, I finally got the chance to return. To my joy it has changed. It's still the delightful same. It was noon on a Sunday and DADA had a good crowd. Though they have delightful porch and outside dining, it was too hot, so I sat inside. The seats are good and the general ambiance couldn't have been better. I had their bone in coffee rubbed grilled ribeye which arrived rare just as I had ordered. I've been hearing about Dada in Delray for some time and finally made my way over to experience it. From the outside, it looked casual with inviting outdoor seating, but decided to sit inside. As we were escorted to the back, we passed through several uniquely decorated rooms, each with its own vibe. The room we were seated in had a colorful, fun, and artistic energy. Our server, Heather, warmly welcomed us, walked us through the menu, and shared some of her favorites. We started with the Chili Cauliflower, flash fried and tasty. For something comforting, I went with the Grilled Cheese Sandwich and Tomato Soup, a classic combination that was satisfying and hit the spot. Wanting to try one of their main dishes, I ordered the Free Bird Chicken with risotto and crispy onions. The flavors were unique, hearty, and tasty, a dish that stood out. "We have a winner," declared my eight-year-old daughter after dining at Dada. We walked to Dada without a reservation on a Friday evening in July and got a table right away on the outdoor patio. Dada shined in many ways, but the first was service. Our server was attentive and kind. He told us right away about their 99 cent mojito deal in honor of National Mojito Day. We ordered two rounds! To eat, we got the artichokes to start followed by meatloaf for me, salmon for my wife, and pasta for my daughter. Our daughter loved the artichokes, but my wife and I found the taste muted. The ambiance is amazing and the service was great! Overall, the food was good but I wouldn't necessarily bring friends here for that reason. The pumpkin ravioli and the lump crab cake were both delicious. The other apps we ordered were okay. For example, the tuna tartare and spinach artichoke sounded better than it tasted. I'm not too surprised because it's an American restaurant, so it makes sense for the Asian fusion dishes not to be that great. The dessert was delicious though! I ordered the short ribs which were alright but seriously was lukewarm which isn't appealing. Fried cider doughnuts was what was ordered for dessert. It was okay but were not warm.
