I went here for lunch with friends I hadn't seen in a very long time, and it was the perfect spot to catch up. I ordered the Caesar salad with shrimp and absolutely loved it. My friends ordered the chicken avocado salad with spinach, candied walnuts, apple, goat cheese, lemon pepper, and marigolds, and everyone was really happy with their meals. What made the experience even better was the atmosphere and the service. We stayed quite a while talking and catching up, and our waitress was so patient and never made us feel rushed. That kind of hospitality really stands out. I'd definitely go back -- great food, great atmosphere, and a wonderful place to relax and enjoy good company.
Loved the ambiance of this place. Huge comfortable booths to accommodate larger parties. Menu was standard brunch and prepared well. Servers were friendly and patient.
Our meal was to celebrate a birthday. We requested a 2-top on the balcony along Atlantic Ave and SE 1st. It was a breezy evening. We started at the bar, which was quite crowded. The espresso martini was good as was the Point Break, with tequila and guava juice, very nice, very tropical. Avalon Beach House used to be Avalon Steak & Seafood House. The first time I went in 2022, I remember it being more of a traditional steakhouse. The Ave has grown significantly around it over the years, but it's still one of the staple restaurants in a central location. Overall, it was great meal with good service and nice atmosphere. It's sill one of the gems. We started with the wedge salad and cheesy bread. We wanted to get the Filet Mignon and the Prime Cut Ribeye to share them, but they were out of the Filet which was a bit surprising. Instead, we got the Crispy Chicken Piccata. They were both excellent. The fingerlings and asparagus were good and loved the red wine sauce. The crispy chicken was not too heavy, with lemon and an ample arugula salad. I don't remember the name of desert, but it was a combo of a browny with an Oreo cookie layer (which the kid in me couldn't refuse) with a scoop vanilla ice cream. It was great.
Stopped in for happy hour and the vibe was awesome. The price was a little high. One drink here was the same as three drinks just 2 doors down. The service was great. The brussels sprouts tasted good, but they were well undercooked. They were a little too hard for me, but my husband enjoyed them. He also agreed they were a little bit too hard.
We come here for brunch a few times but finally came here for dinner on Valentine's Day! The place was very crowded but we had a reservation. We loved the appetizer we got- Short rib soldiers: basically grilled cheese with short rib and vodka sauce to dip (ah-mazing!). We both liked our entrees as well. Definitely recommend checking out the speakeasy in the back- turn right at the bathrooms. They had a fun DJs and some great bartenders!

Apps we did the shishito peppers (they were good but there was some sort of glaze on them that could be a bit over powering) and the ricotta. Dinners - the best was the miso salmon 10/10. The crispy chicken piccata was really good and the spicy vodka was creamy (wasn't very spicy though). The inside was dim and definitely a vibe, and the server was very nice and prompt with everything. She offered a bunch of recommendations as well which was helpful.
Drinks and cute and yummy. Marg was spicy and they have the best lychee drink I've ever had. Place is 25 up. There's also a little speakeasy by the bathroom with good music.
The service was very good and they have happy hour every day, which is great however, it is upscale, high-end, and expensive. So one drink,cost me the same as three at the bar next-door. The menu look great. We had the brussels sprouts which were undercooked, but the flavor was great.
Lots of positives here - great location, would recommend trying to get parking in the garage nearby otherwise you'll be circling for street parking for a little during peak hours. The place is adorable - definitely an aesthetic place that suits the young Delray crowd. Music was upbeat and bopping, though as dinner progressed and the place filled up, we really had to lean in as it seemed like every one was challenged to hear and speak loudly over the music and other tables. Food came out quick and was delicious along with some great and attentive service. Unfortunately, we were gently and awkwardly hovered over towards the end of our dining experience as there was a big group coming in and they needed our table. I get that it's part of the business, but as paying patrons I would have appreciated at least being offered to move to a different table so that we wouldn't have to be rushed out.

It's a large space with both indoor and outdoor seating, and plenty of stools at the bar area. My waiter was so nice! I believe his name was Zack, and I would come back just for his service alone. The Wagyu corn dogs were interesting. My faves were the cocktails - both were well made and tasty. Overall, this is a solid spot. The regular menu prices are a bit high, but I would come back to try out their brunch.
Such a cute restaurant right on Atlantic. They had an all day happy hour so we stopped in and enjoyed some cocktails and appetizers. This was my first time in Delray and it did not disappoint. We sat outside and soaked up the vibes, views, and beach breeze. We had calamari, aperol spritz, crab and bacon croquettes, and key lime pie. All very good!!!

This is my take your time sit back enjoy a delicious steak and be amazed at how the sides are just as good as the main dish. Nothing to complaint about service is amazing and come between dinner and nightlife to enjoy a bit of both.

Came here for a baby shower in the back room, and had the best experience. First of all, this place is huge! I had no idea they even had the private room in the back and that itself is huge with multiple booths, high tops, a private bar, and lots of floor space. The regular restaurant is also very large with a large indoor bar and outdoor patio seating as well. The service was absolutely outstanding! The bartenders made lemonade, sweet tea, and any other drink you could possibly imagine all from scratch. They were friendly and efficient. The staff was constantly walking around taking orders and cleaning up dirty glasses/plates. I have a nut allergy so I was asking about the menu items and one of them had pistachios and they offered to make the items without the pistachios on them for me which I've never had done before. It really made me feel special. This place is super cute and the food and drinks were 10/10. I'd definitely come back here for dinner or something. read more

Delicious and my granddaughter's name that's why we came The food was fresh and kind of Mediterranean style. In my opinion. It was very light did the same oily very good oils used didn't appear to be seed oil. I felt really good after I ate their food gave me energy. read more

I love this restaurant they have indoor and outdoor seating and if you come later at night you can have dinner and then go to the back to their lounge which is super cool and ducked off to the back. The ambiance is very chic and beachy but still very chill. They have a great happy hour and dinner selection. The servers here are very attentive and helpful navigating the menu. I would highly recommend also trying their espresso martini it was by far the best espresso martini I have had 10/10 our server recommended it and she wasn't lying and they brew their own coffee in house for their espresso martinis and the foam on top is nice and thick and a lil sweet I recommend getting it with no baileys. read more

I have been here at least 1/2 dozen times since they changed the concept to Beach House and everytime has been great. The service is awesome. Today we came for Sunday brunch and had the pleasure of meeting Samantha and Max at the bar who were super attentive and friendly. We started with a round of drinks. They have unlimited mimosas, margaritas (frozen and spicy), Bloody Mary's, and Espresso Martinis for $25 and you can switch. They also have Happy Hour all day on Sunday with reduced priced drinks and snacks. For appetizers we got the pigs and blanket and coconut shrimp. Delish! I ordered the Chicken Avocado Salad and it was perfectly sized and delicious. The dressing alone gets 5 stars! The rest of the gang got the Avocado toast, Smashburger, and the Chicken Club Wrap. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We were not rushed at all and can't wait to come back. read more

So I actually have never made a yelp review before but I ordered off of DoorDash and I ordered a medium rare ribeye steak. The steak came completely well done. I wasn't even looking for any compensation but I called the restaurant to let them know and hopefully they can improve. I was put on hold to talk to the manager and then they just hung up. read more
We ordered the tuna tartare that there was more cucumber and avocado than tuna and didn't have much taste. The crab croquettes tasted like deep fried potato's without much crab meat. We came in for the Delray restaurant month pre fixe menu special and it was so good! I walk by this place all the time and never think to come in but I'm so glad I finally tried it! It's a nice vibe with good music playing. Our server, Nick, was really nice and attentive. Everything we got was delicious! The espresso martini was delicious and on happy hour. We started with coconut shrimp and whipped ricotta. Salmon and filet mignon for our entrees. And brownie and key lime pie for dessert. Everything was so good, but special shout out to the salmon it was phenomenal!! We will definitely be back for happy hour in the near future! read more

Went here for drinks during happy hour and it was definitely a nice beachy vibe . We were seated fast and the service went well . I opened for a round with a friend and we enjoyed the outdoor seating. The place was kept nice and quaint which I enjoyed . The happy hour menu isn't large but does have your typical items on it . I would definitely try it again for happy hour or dinner . read more
Came for brunch during the Delray Affair. Felt like I had been brought to California, a great outdoor patio vibe! Our server was attentive and informative of the menu as we tried to make our choices. We started with the Toasted Banana Bread. Not much banana flavor but a thick, cake like consistency and the espresso butter was to die for! Our friend group had a fun boozy brunch. We sat with an inside brunch reservation and service was pretty good. It took a minute to get the flow but we enjoyed the meal. I like that they offer a bottomless beverage for $25+entree which you can switch between espresso martini, mimosa, spicy margarita, and bloody Mary. We started with appetizers. Pigs in Blanket were great and great for sharing. Coconut Shrimp was also very crispy and had good flavors. The Crab Croquets were more fuller on potatoes and other stuff that I wouldn't really recommend those. For entrées, the pancakes fully loaded were not only delicious, they were beautifully plated with whipped cream and berries. The fish tacos were nice and the breakfast burrito was well filled and very good. The filet tips were great for a small meal from the appetizer side of the menu. Overall, this is a great place for brunch now that they have tweaked the menu and the name. Good place for a brunch party or just a romantic weekend meal. read more

We visited for Valentine's Day, when we walked onto the patio and were greeted by a friendly hostess. The music on the patio was quite loud, but once we walked inside to the down dining room, it was a more reasonable volume. So if you're looking to have discussion throughout your meal, I recommend sitting inside. We had made a reservation for three and annotated that it would be two adults and one child needing a highchair. Although the restaurant was not very full, we arrived at the table and there was no highchair, the hostess mentioned she would sort this, but never returned. Although we were able to choose our table in a specific area, all of the tables were quite small for three people. Marcos, our server came to take our drink order when we mentioned we needed a highchair and then could look at drinks. He very quickly brought us one over. Throughout the meal, his service was impeccable. He was attentive, friendly, and very helpful in explaining the menu items. The food quality was good overall. I had a watermelon zero proof cocktail, which was very refreshing and not overly sweet. It was perfect and beautifully served with a slice of watermelon as garnish. For starters we ordered the calamari and crab, croquettes as snacks from the happy hour menu. The calamari was our favorite perfectly crispy with lovely sauces to dip. The crab croquettes were beautifully presented, and you could visibly see crab inside when you take a bite, however due to the flavor of the potato it overpowered the delicate flavor of the crab. However, our very picky Toddler was very happy with both choices. For our entrées, I had the steak frite and my husband had the raised beef Ragu. We shared between the three of us and everything was delicious. The meat from the steak Crete was perfectly cooked, fries, perfectly crispy, lovely homemade aïoli to dip the fries in. The braised beef ragu had wonderful deep flavors. To finish our meal, we had the Valentine's Day dessert, which unfortunately was disappointing. It had a cake like texture. And the flavor reminded me of a microwave mug brownie. This was disappointing after so many high highlights throughout the meal. We did not complain. I'm sure if we did. The server would have fix this, however, we had our toddler who is ready to leave the restaurant so we left it at that. Overall, it was a wonderful meal and I highly recommend the restaurant for the drinks, entrées, and starters- perhaps desserts are not the highlight. read more

Beautiful restaurant. The food needs some tweaks. 1) pancakes. Obviously they're burnt. They look burnt and they tasted burnt. They were dry and the toppings weren't any help. Oh and they were $16 2) crabcakes. Does that look like a crabcake to you? Or a fried cheese curd? Hint; it also tastes like a fried cheese curd. I couldn't taste a lick of the seafood. 3) short rib eggs Benedict. Come on. This is a softball. Every eggs Benedict everywhere tastes the same. The only difference is the protein thrown on top. But nooooo - they had to mess with the secret sauce literally. The Bernaise sauce tasted like they added LEMON or LIME or ORANGE? Being that it was bright orange instead of yellow????? Had to send this one back. Just horrific. 4) breakfast burger. Delicious. The French fries were also great. Overall- the place is beautiful. The service is great. Great location. If you made it to the end of this review, you try this place out & leave yours, I may be being picky, but everything went wrong for me. read more

The food was good, got the chicken wrap and had a smoothie to finish it off. Sat outside on the side where the small tables were. The waitress was terrible. Asked for water with lemon, asked her 2 times for the lemon and finally had to go to the bar and get it myself. She did not come by the table to check if we needed more water or anything. Extremely slow and they were not that busy. Other staff was friendly. read more

Prix-fixe menu was the perfect portion sizing and the food was very good! I do think that the crabcake croquettes and vodka pasta we ordered came a little bit more lukewarm than I would've preferred, but service was amazing and everyone was super friendly! I would highly recommend- maybe just don't go for dinner during game time, LOL read more

Definitely a must try, very cute ambiance, very beachy, very demure! Ha. Our waitress was amazing, she gave great recommendations and was so polite and friendly. The spritzer was so dang yummy and the chicken avocado bowl was terrific! Definitely a must try! Great for large or small parties! read more

I had such a great time at Avalon! The music and ambiance created the perfect vibe, and the staff made the experience even better with their friendliness and attention. It's an amazing spot for brunch with family or friends, but also makes for a wonderful date night destination. Delicious food- try their shishito eggs for brunch. Highly recommend! read more

During dinner service it’s medium noise level, can get a little louder depending on how many people are in there. After 10pm it gets louder.
