    Breakfast wrap

We were seated right away on a Saturday morning. We ordered two omelets and a breakfast wrap. The service was great and the food was good. They don't do substitutions, but you can add things for an additional charge. They were also out of fresh fruit, but I find that's not normally the case. It's a little pricey for diner food. It was almost $60 after tip. Overall, it's a decent option, especially if you want to avoid the crowds on the Ave.

My dad brought me here raving about their fish and chips, so that's what I ordered. And he was absolutely right. You have the option of large (4 pieces) or small (2 pieces) dinner platter of perfectly battered haddock, chips that come in a fun shape and were also made just right, and coleslaw , with a side of tartar sauce. All it was missing was some vinegar , but otherwise was delicious. I can't speak to the rest of the menu because I will definitely come back just to order this again, and I'm perfectly ok with that!

Walking into the Boynton Diner was a bit weird. It was rather dark and the motif said seafood dinner more than diner. I sat on on a hard wooden bench /booth and a server immediately offered coffee. Now, it seemed more like a diner. A typical selection of breakfast offerings - eggs, pancakes, etc... I chose a veggie omelet, which was fine. It came with toast and I chose hash browns for a side. The veggies in the omelet were finely chopped onion, pepper, spinach, and broccoli - likely premade so there was no way to leave one of them out. The hash browns were burned yet undercooked at the same time. The toast was awesome. The server offered hot sauce and I tried the house-made bottled habernaro sauce, which was very good. I was frequently offered coffee refills. It seemed to be mostly a local hangout. Since the ceiling appeared to be tin, the room was very loud.

Luckily, I dined here for breakfast off-season, so there was no wait for a table. I sat in the room towards the back that had an old-fashioned diner feel. The table was set with a paper placemat with advertising on it. The menu was very good with lots of breakfast and dinner options. The breakfast offerings were creative outside of the usual eggs and potatoes. Breakfast Specials are offered early on weekdays and until 9am. on weekends. I ordered 2 Soft Poached Eggs with slices of tomato and dry sourdough bread. It was cooked perfectly, and the breakfast sausage was well seasoned and the size of a smashed burger. Our server was very sweet, and I believe she has worked there for over 10 years, and she knows the menu really well. My next visit will be soon because I want to try some of their Benedict creations or their fancy omelets. The lunch menu looked pretty creative, too, with a Cuban sandwich or an open faced pot roast sandwich. They also have some classic salads and burgers. The decor is diner simple and pretty reasonably priced for the portion sizes. Many items could be shared, and if you pay with cash, there is a discount. I will definitely return to try more from the menu.

3rd year in a row... coming to this dinner for Christmas breakfast with a few friends. I'm happy to patronize a diner with staff who are happy to serve Christmas morning. I always bring my waitress a Christmas card and give them a Christmas bonus inside the card, on top of the tip. Bonus! When we can sit outside Christmas Day.

Sadly this was such a disappointing experience. Our food took forever to come. And when it did... it was cold and obviously had been sitting out the whole time as the gravy on my husband's potatoes had congealed. It took over 25 minutes for our food to be delivered. And I'm being kind as I knew exactly how long due to my Yelp check in. A slow kitchen is one thing, but others around us were getting served and they'd come in much after us. So we know it was our server. We'd both ordered daily specials -- and those are usually fairly fast. I'd ordered a lunch special -- a chili dog with sauerkraut. When it came it was cold but had potential. I refused to give up my plate being hungry. I ate half. My husband's pot roast special was taken back to the kitchen by the server after he told her it was cold. She offered to reheat it and said it would only take "30 seconds". After 8/9 minutes of no server in sight --nor his plate of food -- he got up and left the restaurant. A few minutes later, they finally brought his food to the table. I left it there as no one was going to eat it. The manager came by and I explained the situation. She apologized and gave us a discount. I paid and left. Obviously, we are never going back...

Such a pleasant little spot! Stopped in for some breakfast with family and really enjoyed! This place was decked out with Christmas decor and was so festive! Service was also great! Melissa is super sweet and attentive. The mugs for coffee were even holiday themed! There were also little holiday placements. I got the one egg breakfast. I got an egg over hard, jalapeño bacon, hash browns, and sourdough bread. So good! Such a simple breakfast but it sure did hit the spot. My mom ordered the same thing. One of my family members ordered the corn beef hash and loved it! Everything really did hit the spot! Come support this small little business.

In a word: Fair. As the restaurant's name ("Diner") implies, this place offers comfort food which tastes pretty good but is not made with particularly high quality ingredients. I had the tuna melt, which included a nice portion of tuna salad served on open-faced toast with a generous portion of cheese. I was disappointed to see the sandwich was made with dark tuna rather than albacore. It came with a basket of crinkle cut fries which had no seasoning and appeared to be right out of a freezer bag. No fresh-cut potatoes here. And the entrée included a few slices of over-done pickles that looked like they belonged on a fast-food chain burger. My husband had the patty melt burger, which was served on swirl toast with cheese and grilled onions. Although he requested that it be cooked to medium temperature (slightly pink inside), it was well overdone. It came with the same unimpressive pickles and fries. I understand that a diner cook may not have the finesse of a gourmet chef, but if the cook cannot distinguish doneness, then perhaps the restaurant should insist on the use of a meat thermometer. The servers were all friendly but the service was a bit chaotic as they seemed to roam around without being clear as to who was serving each table. We had to ask two servers for a water refill because the first one we asked forgot to bring it. And the hostess made us wait several minutes at the entrance while she determined if any of the "girls" (her word choice) was available to serve us. Wouldn't it be better to seat guests so they could relax and look at the menu rather than making them stand and look at several available tables? Will we go back to Boynton Diner? Probably, but only if we happen to be in the neighborhood. The food tasted okay and was a step up from fast-food, as were the prices, which are reasonable at around $10 - $12 per entrée. If you go with lower expectations, you won't be disappointed. And we do like that they are a local business and offer a fair amount of outdoor seating.

I took my daughter to breakfast here this morning, just to try something a little different than the usual places we go to. And now I am sorry that I did. The bill for two people having breakfast was $44.02 before tip!!!..... once I saw the bill I took a closer look at the itemized portion.. my daughter ordered an orange juice and one cup of orange juice is $5.95 think about that.... A cup of coffee is $4.20. And a small side of hollandaise sauce to pour over the top of the eggs Benedict was $4.75. So just for coffee, orange juice and a side of hollandaise sauce it was already $14.90....... Almost $15 and we haven't even gotten to breakfast yet.!!!! I find the prices for these items, obscene and borderline gouging..... The waitress was nice enough. You could tell she understood what how crazy high the prices were by the way she apologized, when I asked her about them, but she said there's nothing she can do about the high prices it is just the way the owner does business. Not that the owner will care but I did mention to her that I won't be back because of the insultingly high pricing on these items. I could almost rationalize these high prices, if this diner was located on the beach like the Dune deck in Lantana or maybe even Cafe luna rosa's in Del Ray,, but it clearly is not as other reviewers have mentioned The Boynton Diner is dark/dingy and on the railroad tracks. The service was as you would expect from a diner, the food was as you would expect from a diner, but the prices were far from that. if you want good diner food at reasonable prices without getting fleeced, I suggest you try the green owl on Woolbright Road or the Diner on Gateway Blvd both in Boynton. Both of these reputable establishments have good food good service with plenty of natural light and reasonable prices. I posted the receipt so you could see the itemized charges. oh yeah, they also snuck in a credit card surcharge of $1.59. So just to sum up the entire experience it cost $52.03 for two people to have breakfast in a dark diner on the railroad tracks.

Parking is moderately available in this lot. We ordered online and our food was prepared hot & fresh in a timely manner & during the busiest time of day on a Sunday! My egg white veggie omelette ($12) with potato wedges & multigrain toast (not pictured) was just wonderful! Customer service was excellent ! The portion sizes were large as well! Overall, we had a lovely time!

The show has been running since 2006 and is now deep into its 40th season, with Guy Fieri crisscrossing the country in search of some of the most underrated and delicious local eats. Flakowitz of Boynton Bakery & Deli Restaurant was featured in Season 6, Episode 5 ("Biscuits, Bagels and BLTs"), which originally aired on May 4, 2009--and it's easy to see why it made the cut. This place is a true Boynton Beach institution. Since 1967, they've been serving up classic New York-style Jewish deli fare, and they do it right. Think towering, sliced-to-order sandwiches, rich matzoh ball soup, and hearty comfort dishes like their stuffed cabbage (which Guy himself tried on the show). Beyond the restaurant, there's also a deli counter and a full bakery stocked with fresh bagels, rugelach, babka, challah, black-and-white cookies, and more. The bagels are made the traditional way--boiled and baked--and you can taste the difference. From the moment I sat down, the experience felt warm and welcoming. They brought out complimentary marble cake while I looked over the menu, which was a nice touch. The service was just as good--my waitress was attentive and seemed to know exactly when I needed that much-appreciated, steaming cup of coffee. I went with a classic: a corned beef sandwich piled high with tender, flavorful meat. It was massive and incredibly satisfying, especially with the sides--coleslaw, a crispy potato pancake, and a half-sour pickle. Definitely the kind of meal that leaves your soul satiated. And of course, I couldn't leave without stopping by the bakery on my way out. I grabbed a few cookies and bagels to go--no regrets there. I've been wanting to check this place out for a long time, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. If you're a fan of classic delis or following in Guy Fieri's footsteps like I am, this one is a must-visit.
