Every once in a while you get a server who makes a good meal memorable. This was one of those times. Our food was taking a little longer than expected to prepare but Nadine B kept us informed and entertained while we waited. Her laughter is infectious. I ordered a BLT. My girlfriend ordered an omelet. Both came out delicious, as expected. Overall another terrific gastronomic experience at Keke's made even better by Nadine. Definitely a five out of five. Nice breakfast place with good food. The service was friendly, but slow for the amount of people inside. Prices were a little high for the experience. She got the regular pancakes w/sausage links & toast. THEY'RE HUGE! Very good & heavy. Sausage was just ok. I got the Southwest Omelette w/home fries & toast. So, one of our favorite places for breakfast is Keke's. We've been customers for quite some time but today, Father's Day, they left my wife and I disappointed. I'm not going to mention the servers name in fairness to her as we aren't sure if the issues were with her personally, or if the kitchen was off today. We were seated immediately when we arrived but it took quite some time to see our server and the place wasn't even half full at this time. Once we ordered our coffee and mimosas, it took nearly 15 minutes for them to arrive. The server apologized for the delay. I had ordered the eggs Benedict and my wife a cheese omelette. The server again apologized for the delay in the food arriving which also took forever. By the time it finally arrived, my eggs were basically hard boiled as they sat for so long and my wife's omelette had ham in it. She didn't order that. Then to close things off, I motioned to my server to bring me the check. She put up her finger asking for a moment. She never came back. We finally had to flag down another server to get our check. Needless to say this was a disappointing service for us. Now, all that said, I would give Keke's a 5-star rating normally as we've never been disappointed in the past. We will be back and hope that this was just an off day, staff called in sick or something along those lines, and pray their normal exceptional service is what it always has been. read more

The food runners however were a little less than pleasant. The menu had a lot of breakfast varieties including turkey bacon, which is bonus for someone who doesn't eat pork like me. The pancakes were perfect! Outside of that everything was just okay. The cook on my hash browns was inconsistent with some being perfect and others completely raw, the egg whites were greasy, and my bacon was flimsy even though I asked for extra crispy. Kekes used to be a small diner with a great menu. They recently changed to a bigger location, expanded the menu, and are honestly knocking it out of the park!!!! I showed up for Sunday breakfast and was shocked to see that there were at least 15 people waiting! They had a totally full house, so I knew it was worth the wait. Once my number was up, we were seated right away and given drinks and coffee. The staff was super friendly, made polite conversation, and got ours orders in right away. The coffee was so fresh and they even offered a variety of creamers. I tried a few different ones with each refill and had a blast. The menu was perfect. My daughter was able to order lunch even though it was clearly breakfast, I ordered a waffle bigger than my head topped with warm cinnamon apples and a side of bacon and potatoes, and my husband got an egg protein bowl packed with veggies and good choices. We were all extremely satisfied! Kekes is by far the best place I've had a sit down breakfast at in Boynton. Check them out next time you're craving a solid meal! read more

I ordered Eggs Benedict, but what came out looked like the chef had only heard about Eggs Benedict through a bad game of telephone. The eggs were so over-poached I'm genuinely curious if they started cooking them yesterday. The yolk wasn't runny, jammy, or anything close to acceptable. It was basically a boiled egg wearing hollandaise as a disguise. Calling this Eggs Benedict feels like a hate crime against brunch. The English muffin looked tired, the ham looked sad, and the hollandaise was just sitting there like it also wanted to leave. I've had better breakfast from a hotel lobby warmer at 6:00 AM next to a broken waffle machine. Even better, the restaurant was practically empty and it still took 30 minutes for this disaster to arrive. Thirty minutes. For eggs. In an empty restaurant. At that point I expected something life-changing, not a plate that looked like it had been assembled during an evacuation drill. This was easily the worst Eggs Benedict I've ever had in my life, assuming we're even allowed to call it Benedict. Benedict Arnold showed more loyalty than this dish did to breakfast. We ate breakfast at Keke's recently for the first time. It was recommended by a friend. I think the theme of this review will be the word "fine." [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor of the place was fine. She was friendly and attentive, made some recommendations and took our order. We ordered the eggs Benedict and the white egg scramble. It took a little longer than expected for the food to come out but KJ made sure we were okay and made a point of checking on us. When the food came out it looked good but not great. The eggs Benedict and hash browns I ordered were just fine again. The hash browns weren't super warm and tasted somewhat potatoey. They needed some extra crisping. The eggs Benedict were also fine but nothing special. They were smothered in hollandaise sauce but it couldn't hide the averageness of the dish. Honestly, it seemed like the hash browns and eggs Benedict were either reheated or had been sitting out under a warming lamp for a while. I tried my fiancé's egg white scramble and it was also just fine. Two things happened that I was not a fan of. My fiance was still eating and a waiter took my plate. I was done but I was always taught that you don't remove plates until the whole table is done. It felt like we were being rushed. Similarly, RJ dropped the check on the table while my fiance was still eating. I wasn't upset but again I felt rushed. The bill came out to about $36 including tip which seems a lot though is probably standard nowadays. Therefore, I am giving Keke's a 3-star review. The food and decor were fine. KJ was an excellent waitress. Overall, Keke's is no different from many other breakfast places in Boynton Beach. read more

This was first time trying this place. I'm a fan of basic American breakfast spots. It gives, elevated IHOP but in a good way. For a busy Sunday, my wait time wasn't very long. My food came promptly considering the number of patrons. My server was very nice. I ordered an eggs Benedict and I do believe my eggs were slightly undercooked but overall it was great. After a great breakfast the other day, the story CHANGES The home fries that came with the eggs were raw and greasy. I couldn't eat them, sent them back and never got them returned! Is saying "make them well done " not English. The waiter appeared "stoned", took my credit card and he then added a separate $12 for a tip on top of a $38 charge He couldn't even operate the computer to get my check. It took about 30'minutes for him While being tutored by 3 other people. He never checked back with us during the meal and I had to go to the front desk to get a coffee refill! I stumbled upon this place, since I was in the neighborhood. I got to meet the manager, Dennis, who was very nice. My server Nadine was efficient and courteous. The breakfast special threw me off a little; you order the main ingredient (French Toast, etc) and then the "sides"... I has 2-eggs and a ham steak for my "sides". And as "sides" they came on a small side plate... which does not leave room for cutting the eggs or the ham steak. But as side from this oddity, the food was good. Food is outstanding. I really enjoy the atmosphere. I come here every 6 months after my scans at Boca Regional, The staff is polite/reasonably nice. I wish they felt more genuine. They always feel kind of superficial to me. The exception was the gentleman who actually brought me my food. He was "real," and he was kind. Had a breakfast meeting here on a weekday around 9am. Found the restaurant to fairly simple... basic diner style situation with lots of booth seating. The service was really good. Our waitress was friendly and quick to top off our coffees and waters. In terms of the food, also fairly good. I didn't think anything I had was spectacular, but the meal was very solid nonetheless and I think the prices were reasonable as well. My veggie omelette was full of fresh vegetables and the home fries were great. I don't think you'll regret stopping at Keke's for breakfast and I would try them again when I'm in Boynton. read more
