Came here for my birthday breakfast. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and million dollar bacon and my fiancé ordered the pancakes and eggs. Usually the million dollar bacon is my favorite but there was so much pepper on it, I couldn't even eat it. Usually when you order biscuits and gravy, it's one (or two) biscuit cut in half with the gravy over it. This biscuit wasn't cut in half and was just put on the plate with the gravy on it making it a bit hard to cut into/get good bites. Overall wasn't really enjoyable. We came to first watch to grab some breakfast. We were quickly greeted and seated by the hostess, and quick after the waiter came to our table. She was a great resource for learning recommendations and offering insight as to what we definitely needed to try. The place is your typical chain, breakfast cafe, but the staff is what always makes me go back. I've been to multiple First Watch locations and have always had great experiences, but this Boynton Beach location was by far the worst. The restaurant was empty on a Thursday morning, yet the service was shockingly slow and disorganized.. We were seated and ordered immediately, then waited over an hour without our server, Tammy, checking on us even once- no drinks, no updates, nothing. During this time, multiple tables that were seated after us received their food within 10 minutes, which made the situation even more frustrating. I finally had to get up and ask someone about my drink and our food. Only then did Tammy come back with my drink and casually say, "Sorry, your food's in," with no explanation or real apology. Still confused, I got up again and asked the host if our food actually wasn't in yet because at that point we were ready to leave. Suddenly, Tammy appeared with the food. When I asked her if she had forgotten to put the order in, she responded with an attitude and said, "Yeah, that's why I apologized." Tammy never once told us she forgot to put the order in, never checked on us, and showed zero accountability. By that point I was livid, asked for the check, and had the food boxed to go. This was completely unacceptable service. If I could give this location zero stars, I would. I've had great experiences at other First Watch locations, but this one was a huge letdown. read more

It was 10/10 I come to this first watch every now and then and I will say the service was not great at all. Our server came to our table maybe twice. Highlights for this restaurant are: Easy Parking Great Service Lots of covered outside seating Delicious food. I love the smoked salmon frittata with the side greens and buttery sourdough bread. Flavors are perfect with the drizzle of sour cream acrosscthe top. Serving size is very good. The 3 breakfast tacos are also filled well with fresh ingredients. The side of black beans is a bit much for first thing in the morning but substitutions can be done for other breakfast sides. They have regular iced coffee but will gladly bring a tall glass of ice and a pitcher of hot decalf to pour over the ice. Good coffee! I will definitely return here again. read more

The shrimp and grits were rich and full of flavor, and the strawberry tres leches French toast was amazing, soft, sweet, and indulgent without being too heavy. The blueberry lemon cornbread did not look like the one on the picture on display but it had a great texture and a nice balance of flavors. We also got the farmhouse hash, which was hearty and super satisfying. Service was fast and friendly, and the vibe was laid-back and comfortable. I wish I got the name of our server today, she was a young lady who had the section on the outside. She's definitely my favorite server. I came here early on a Saturday morning and I was able to bypass the morning rush. This location is new and due to one never being close to where I lived, I never tried it! I've heard a lot of hype about First Watch and I was really interested in trying it. Walking in, there's 2 desk stands. We told the cashier a table of 2 but realized quickly we approached the wrong desk. We went to the other desk and asked for a table. We sat quickly as the inside of the restaurant was only half packed. Our server had a great smile and we felt very welcomed. We ordered a coffee and the lavendar purple haze drink. Pretty good! Very sweet. It was a large size so we actually took some to go. I ordered the Trifecta breakfast with the million dollar bacon and it wasn't very hot when it arrived. It was only okay but they did give a large portion. The chocolate chip pancake had lots of areas full of chocolate and then some areas that didn't have any flavor at all. Their maple syrup was pretty delicious and it was piping hot when I went to grab it. I thought the bacon was overhyped for sure. I've had better maple candied bacon and their seemed limp. They have a variety of options on their menu so I am interested in coming back and trying something else but my first visit wasn't impressive. It was decent and got the job done. read more

Glad to see something finally end up in the old village taverns space in Renn. Commons. We got there around 930 and were seated right away. So far, I have zero complaints about this first watch as opposed to the one in west boynton, which is always slammed and the service leaves much to be desired. Every single staff member we encountered was friendly and attentive. Our food came out perfectly and extremely hot. While I have no experience in the food service industry, I assume that when your food arrives piping hot, it is because the waiter grabbed it immediately after it was finished and ready to serve. I may be incorrect in this assertion, but our waiter was so on top of everything, this certainly seems to be the case. He also made an excellent drink recommendation for the lavender lemonade and that was very enjoyable. It didn't taste strong, but I definitely had a bit of a buzz so it left me in a good place, and I'm not a lightweight. Getting a drink that isn't too weak and isn't too strong is important to me, too much alcohol and I get sick, too little and I feel like it was a waste, so I was impressed with this. Good breakfast spot that is much closer than the other location. Only criticism is that none of the drinks on the menu have prices. I find this to be a deceptive practice as I like knowing how much something costs when I order it. Not even because it wood prevent me from ordering it but simply because I'd like to know, and as the consumer, I don't think that's unreasonable. read more

We had a very good breakfast here. We came for their "soft" opening as they don't officially open until March 15th. So some of the staff is still in training. We had very good and pleasant service from Leticia. And everyone else, too, including the table bussers and the cashier. We both ordered the "traditional" breakfast. You had your choice of two eggs (I had poached, well done) with "meat" (I had turkey sausage links). It came with home style fried potatoes, whole grain "artisan" bread toasted (loved the bread!) and natural preserves (strawberry; we thought this was ketchup at first). Everything was cooked exactly as ordered -- eggs and sausage well done. I added as my side an order of their biscuit and gravy. The biscuit was great -- split horizontally and griddled with butter. The gravy -- which I got separately -- was served piping hot. It's a bit peppery, but it had the right consistency and was addictive (I was just going to have a taste). The portions are large. I wound up taking half my sausage links (there were 4 originally) and most of my potatoes and biscuit home -- for another meal. We'd eaten at a First Watch a couple times before in other cities. We had not been very pleased. However, THIS First Watch has a much much better chef and staff. They should do exceptionally well here. We will be back, soon. read more

Fresh = First Watch. You would think they have the farm in the back and literally get everything from ground to make your meal. Great new location. The morning meditation is one of the drinks I've ever had and the only drink I get when visiting a First Watch. I was kind of skeptical ordering the Chickichanga but wow, it was amazing. Definitely one of my favorites now here. Top 2. Brand new servers since it's a new location but the management staff do a great job of training. This location has a cool bar area with opening to the outside which is really nice. Going back soon. read more

Brand new First Watch opened by our house. We were not sure what to expect since it was new.  Our fears were unfounded.  Restaurant was clean and organized.  Staff was attentive and knowledgeable. My wife and I got coffee and water both with refill containers so we did not need to ask for more.  I got the traditional with 2 eggs, potatoes (nicely seasoned), bacon, and flavorful multi grain toast with butter and jam. Everything was cooked well. My wife ordered the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes.  Taste was light yet very filling.   Included 2 very large pancakes which my wife had difficult time finishing one.  Next time we will order a single. As an add on we shared a order of million dollar bacon.  It's not on the menu but it's there and worth it. Looks like Boynton Beach has another great breakfast place to visit read more

Came on Saturday and was able to get seated right away, which was awesome and there is some outdoor seating as well. The staff was friendly, however at one point there was a server change and the server who stepped in went missing in action for the remainder of the meal and it did take us a while to get our check. The food did come out overall pretty quickly, however the food was lacking overall. The eggs Benedict was way to runny and the sauce was way too lemony. The side salad didn't come with any dressing. We must have come on a tough day. 20 minutes before we even got water... HOWEVER, I will say in light of the obvious challenge for the customer, the manager made things right. IDK if they were short staffed, new staff, whatever I will give credit to management for noting an issue and trying to remedy it. While visiting my mom in South Florida, I was able to visit the 1st Watch in Boynton Beach. My mom is 91 and the hostess was so wonderful in finding a great outdoor seating for mom that was shady and close to where we parked in the handicapped space. We sat down and although there was a little bit of a wait to initially get service (Saturday Brunch) it gave us plenty of time to review their extensive menu. We settled on our server's recommendations of French Toast, sides of bacon, and a standard breakfast with toast and mimosas for all of us. The server was quick and pleasant. This place is a staple for me back home in Sanford, FL so I was not disappointed in the least, and will take my mom here on my next visit as well. read more

I really love First Watch, but this location is just missing the mark and it's happened on multiple occasions. I always get the avocado toast so I ordered this from this location. I ordered over easy eggs on the side. The egg that I received was burnt and rock hard. I had to request a new egg. The same issue happened to my mom with her eggs as well.
