I've been meaning to try this place for awhile. It is small inside. They cook to order so it is served fresh & hot. The star is the coconut crusted French toast - which fits with the Hawaiian theme. Servers were friendly. Prices were reasonable. I will have to come back and try the lunch menu

A very unstuffed omelette that left me unimpressed.

Sunday morning and this place is 95% full. Its seat yourself and I was able to score a booth by the window. The restaurant has about 10 booths and some long tables in the center. The beachy motif is on the walls and it gives off very good vibes. The staff is super friendly and as soon as I sat a young lady appeared to take my drink and food order. I ordered the make your own omelette, ham and cheese and I asked for triple cheese, with an everything bagel and some potatoes. I absolutely did not get triple cheese. In fact, I don't think there was even extra cheese at all, even though I was charged for it. I've eaten enough omelettes with extra cheese to know what extra cheese looks like, and that most certainly was not one of them. It was a very small layer of cheese with some ham inside of it. Nothing to write home about. I like an omlette that's fat and full of stuff and this just wasn't it. The home fries were good and everything bagel was actually the best thing on the plate. As I said the servers there are quite friendly, but a friendly server doesn't make up for a lackluster food order.

Great place. These people don't play with their dish portions. Make sure you come hungry. Each plate can serve two people, easily. The service was good and the place was homey and down to earth. No TVs, no fluff, just some good ol home cooked food. They literally have big momma in the kitchen cooking up some home-cooked-goodness. And if you get anything with jalapeños, or add jalapeños to your dish, get ready, cuz they're not bashful about adding jalapeños. In other words, if you come here with a cold or flu, and you get something with jalapeños, my friend, you will be relieved of your sickness. But don't come out of your house if you're sick, please! ;) The place holds about 50 people max and it can prob hold one small group of people so think about that before heading over. Oh yeah, and the booth, they're very quaint and small so don't be scared to rub shoulders if you bring a party of four.

This place is such a cute tasty breakfast spot. I went with my mom for breakfast and decided to try it, they were pretty busy and I did't have an issue with waiting. The orange juice was freshly squeezed and delicious. So was the Eggs Benedict and French toast, and the home fries were so good and crispy. I definitely recommend.

We had a good brunch/lunch here. The small restaurant is a southern style/old-fashioned type diner. The staff is friendly and helpful. The menu is breakfast all day with some added lunch specials. The prices are reasonable with large portions. My husband had their "old Florida" breakfast. His choice of eggs were basted, along with crisp bacon, a biscuit with gravy, and his choice of grits plus french toast. He said everything was perfectly cooked. I had a lunch item -- avocado stuffed with chicken salad. The chicken was stuffed into the shell of a half avocado and the avocado slices were served separately. The chicken salad was tasty with the addition of celery and slightly sweet with dried cranberries. There were crackers, as well. I chose fruit salad as my side. It was a large portion of fresh cut melons (I requested no pineapple), strawberries and grapes. There's a lot more on their menu that I'd like to try in the future -- plus they have blackboard specials. I'm so glad we found this place -- thanks fellow yelpers! This one is a keeper.

Nestled in a small strip center this place turns out some huge breakfast offerings and sandwiches! I chose the Old Florida Sampler breakfast which came with two thick half slices of fluffy french toast, two strips of bacon, one sausage link, two eggs (any style), I chose basted and another side (I chose grits). Everything was cooked perfectly! Service is fast and friendly and we never felt rushed. Tables were cleaned as soon as patrons left and more entered to enjoy their meals. This is definitely the place to come for home cooked meals!

How did I never know that this is the sister location to Kona Bay Cafe in Lantana? Same menu and the food is just as good. Service was really slow but then, they were busy and the service was not bad. We ordered iced coffee and boy is it good coffee. Served in a big glass so we did not need a refill. I ordered two eggs scrambled with a side of fresh fruit and rye toast. The toast was buttery and room temp but melted. The eggs were soft scrambled like I ordered. The fruit was fresh and a good variety. My husband ordered cornbeef hash and he loved it. His toast was missing upon delivery but it was brought out quickly once he said something to our server. We also ordered a side of veggie sausage and the flavor was perfect but they were pretty oily. We did not sit long as there were people waiting on tables. We will definitely return because parking was good and free too.

To sum up my visit into one word... repulsive. Would never suggest to come here. I regret my visit entirely. Food took forever and the waitress was rude. I would give it zero stars if I could. I'm only writing a review to save another individual from coming to this dump. I got a breakfast sampler because I wanted some bacon and sausage. My bacon was completely shriveled up and was about 1 piece and a half. My sausage was questionable. My scrambled eggs tasted like plastic. My biscuit and gravity was flavorless and disgusting. My meal included a side of toast... I never got it. Waste of calories. Waste of money. Waste of time. My sister got a waffle with strawberries and nutella. Her waffle had a hair in it. Her strawberries on top were soggy and mushy. And to round it off, there was no Nutella on her waffle when they brought it out. Another item forgotten but still charged the full price. Restaurant is dirty. Floor covered in crumbs. Menus are greasy. Cups are dirty. Whole place is an overpriced dirt hole. My sister's arm was sticking to the wall as she sat on the inside of the booth. Ceiling tiles are discolored and look like they're minutes away from dropping down. I feel nauseous just thinking about the place.

Coconut Macadamia French Toast was delicious

Service was great. No fountain drinks, cans only. The food was delicious and definitely worth the hype. Will definitely go back for the yogurt parfait and Benedict.

I ordered the teriyaki bowl with chicken and it had no teriyaki flavor or sauce anywhere. The chicken was probably slightly marinated but I wish it tasted more like teriyaki. The grilled salmon was tasty but the poached egg that came with the Brussels sprout Cesar was full of water and undercooked so I literally didn't even eat it. The strawberry lemonade was 80% water, stick with the hangover cure. The hangover cure was very refreshing. The servers split the tips so they were all pretty helpful and attentive. Probably a good spot for cocktails but I went with my grandma so virgin drinks were the way to go. All in all I'd be back for a cocktail and the fries. The food is also pretty pricey. $11 French fries, $9 for a non-alcoholic beverage. Also when I went, the menu was limited. They weren't serving any of the 'Shareables'. I went at 3pm on a Sunday so you'd think this is prime time to have a full menu available. Service 9/10 Food 6/10 Location & ambiance 8/10 Would I go back? Yes. The vegetables sandwich that I ordered had so much oil but fortunately the bread soaked up some of it, so I just discarded the bread. My wife's salad with fish was very good. Also, the fruit served with my sandwich? Just perfectly ripe and enjoyable. One of the things that cracked me up here, being a laid back Texas boy, was over hearing all the incessant, noisy, nasal New York Jewish ladies whining, commiserating and ruminating with each other at the other tables. That was entertaining. I had thought about asking about the homemade desserts but the staff was slammed I guess cause no one came around to check on how things were going and if we needed anything else. Just as well. They have a really nice outdoor seating area, complete with heaters when needed. We chose to dine inside. The vibe inside the restaurant was kind of a boho rustic feel, and I really liked it. Soft lighting and music really set the tone. We were immediately greeted by our server, Gustavo, and given our menus. We don't drink, but they had a nice selection of drinks, cocktails and spirits. We decided to start with the sweet and sour cauliflower. It was absolutely delicious! Cauliflower battered and fried and tossed in a sweet and sour sauce. For our entree we shared the 44oz Creekstone ribeye. It was served with charred broccolini and and a fried airy potato side dish that was out of this world! The steak came sliced and off the bone, so it was perfect for sharing. It was served with 3 toppings; a horseradish sauce, a balsamic glaze, and delicious mixture of sliced peppers. Our steak was cooked perfectly, and seasoned well. We did not have dessert there, as we had a birthday cake at home. And I feel remiss that I didn't even look to see what they had. Overall, it was the perfect place to have a romantic, celebratory dinner! We came here for dinner last night and we were seated with a direct ocean view. This is one of the few places that is literally on the beach that you can have dinner. It was around 7 PM so there was shade and cool evening ocean breezes We ordered the whole snapper which was a whopping 2 1/2 pounds and the grouper. The snapper was obviously meant for two people because of the amount of rice and vegetables they included with the snapper. It was excellent. The grouper came in some type of coconut sauce, which was amazing. We were dipping our snapper in the sauce for the grouper. If I was to make any type of recommendation, I would recommend adding a side of this sauce to the snapper and that would just make it a perfect dish I had a watermelon Mojito. The drinks here are ridiculously expensive at $17 a cocktail. And it's not like they come in a huge glass. They come in a regular wine glass. They do say that all the ingredients are natural and nothing is artificial, so maybe it's worth it to pay that much to not have a bunch of junk in your drinks. The service was slow. Although friendly. When we arrived, there was not that many people eating so I was surprised when after 30 minutes we still had not gotten the cocktails. Our waiter said it was because there was only one bartender and he was 15 minutes behind on his orders. I find this pretty amazing that a restaurant like Benny's cannot hire more than one bartender so that the people who come and pay what is not really a moderate amount but pretty expensive for their entrées, but still have to wait 20 minutes to get their drinks. It was only for this that I took off a star. When I order a cocktail, I like it brought out within five minutes and not to drink during my dinner. Dinner was also very slow and we got our entrées about 45 minutes after our order. But all in all, it was an amazing experience and we will be back.
