What a fantastic little surprise. We snagged a last-minute reservation and walked in with cautiously moderate expectations. You know the feeling. "Let's see how this goes." Well. It went exceptionally well. The drinks were phenomenal. Not just "good for the neighborhood," but genuinely creative, balanced, and memorable. The service was warm, polished, and somehow managed to be both attentive and relaxed at the same time. The kind of service that makes you feel like you picked the right place. And the food? Every single dish we ordered was absolutely dialed in. Not one weak link. No filler. No "that was fine, I guess." Just plate after plate of exactly what it should be. read more

It was date night and we tried something new, unfortunately things weren't perfect, but it wasn't all bad either. We got there early for our reservation, but it was a busy night and the inside table I had already requested and reserved was given away so we had to sit outside. We asked about seating in the bar but we were told it was booked by a private party. (No one for this party showed up from 7:30-9:30 and the bar was as empty when we left as when we arrived.) They did have portable heaters outside so it wasn't too cold, but again, not what I requested or reserved. Our server was friendly and greeted us immediately, explaining the nightly special. We started with the Hamachi appetizer, a fun mix of yellowtail with passionfruit and gochujang. Everything about it was delicious but the yellowtail tasted much fishier than we've had elsewhere. Then the waiting game started. After waiting nearly 40 minutes our server brought the appetizer again so we had to assume he'd put a hold on our order and forgotten it. I went in to ask a few minutes later and our food was just now being staged. I don't mine if things happen, it's life, but tell us up front, say "whoops" and we will move on... Our dinner finally came out and it was really good! - The lovely Spensyr had the Table Wedge Salad, an interesting mix of Bibb lettuce, pork belly, and Tahini ranch, with a sun dried tomato compote. - I had the hangar steak with crispy fried potato and sautéed veg. It was delicious. Because of the earlier wait and mix up, we were offered complimentary desserts. Spensyr got their Key Lime pie and loved it, I got their white chocolate passionfruit cake dome thing and we each thought ours was better. * All in all it was a mixed bag. Apart from the overly fishy appetizer, all our food was delicious. The service was great, except for when they forgot us. The restaurant was comfortable and pleasant other than being kept outside in the cold with an entire empty bar. read more

Definitely coming back. We were on our way to the car when we looked in Table 165 and thought it seemed like a good spot to stop in. Their was a lively group of people at the bar, we got the last couple spots that were open. The very friendly bartender, who smiling might of been his favorite thing, was quick with the menus. We had just come from dinner so we focused on the drink menu. My gal got a nice red. They served it in a wonderfully different wide orb of a glass. The cocktail menu felt purposefully sparse. Third down just said it was their margarita. I made the call, and it was a good call. their margarita was on point, solid. It's a smaller place. It actually is 2 small places connected, with a larger dinning room next door. I did spot a piano in the back. I think we will plan a dinner sometime back when there might be some tunes. read more

I think we caught this restaurant on a bad night. First, we arrived late because we were waiting for a repair person at our home. They seated us, but in the bar area in a high top ( when a table opened up in the bar area we were able to move to the table) presumably because we arrived more than 15 minutes after our reservation time slot. There was a pianist, and that was lovely. We ordered 2 glasses of wine; the glasses were chilled but the wine was warm and one the glasses was dirty. When they replaced the wine and the glasses, the glasses were clean and the wine was chilled. Why couldn't they have given us the chilled wine in the clean glasses initially? The food was good, but not spectacular. The best dish that we had was the beets and burrata. I had read so many wonderful reviews about this restaurant.; I was truly disappointed. read more

From the moment we walked up I knew this would be a great experience. I had read the reviews prior and seemed decent. But they exceeded my expectations! We came here with my husbands cousin who was visiting and we were extremely happy. The service was impeccable, the food was out of this world and the vibes were great. We've already told everyone about this restaurant!! You can truly tell in the quality of the food that they take extra care in creating each dish. Table 165 might be the best restaurant in Boca/Delray and every time I've gone I leave impressed. Though the restaurant is not far off of Atlantic Avenue it is somewhat easy to miss and doing so would be a mistake. The menu is eclectic and the chef seems to excel at everything. The Mediterranean Board has the best dips I've tried in South Florida and along with the fresh Burrata make great appetizers. Often with spreads the accompanying dipping vegetables are just an afterthought thrown on the plate but the vegetables here were excellent and it seems like serious thought went into the selection and that attention to detail was evident through out the entire meal. We went with a nicely plated fish entree that tasted as good as it looked and the Tuscan Gnocchi. I believe the pasta is made in house and the sauce had great flavor and depth and it's nice to try pasta that doesn't taste like it does in every other restaurant. Desserts were as good as the appetizers and main courses and it was so good we ended up ordering seconds. Service as well as the waiter selected wines were excellent. There are many restaurants in Downtown Delray and most are in the average category but Table 165 defies the surrounding mediocrity and sets the standard for excellent dining. read more

Had dinner on the Saturday after Valentine's Day, 8:00 pm reservation. We sat at the small bar and had a few drinks while waiting for our table, which seemed to take a while, but our drinks bar tender was friendly and skilled. The food was excellent. Everything was fresh and delicious, and looked great. The beets and cream was delicious as was The Mediterranean. For mains, the Fresh Catch Red Snapper was excellent and the Wagyu X Petite Filet was outstanding. The first steak they brought, however, was way overdone. The second steak was a perfect medium rare as ordered. They included the potato on my plate and it was just delicious. I ordered the cabernet sauvignon, which came in a special wine glass. I love that. My comments are that it was extremely noisy in the restaurant, though it was probably one of the busiest times of the week. Plus, the food took too long to arrive. It wasn't just our table, but others as well were experiencing longer than expected wait times. Still, even with the slowness and the loudness, I'd give Table165 5/5 because of the quality of the food, alone. I've heard that they're expanding into the space next door. read more

This is my favorite Delray restaurant. The food is always so fresh and prepared to perfection. The servers are pros and very attentive. As a downtown Delray/Atlantic Ave local, table 165 is hands down one of the greatest hidden gems of Delray. The only photo I have to share is everyone's completely empty plates because it was so good I forgot to take a before. The drinks are also so perfectly handcrafted with real ingredients, not the fake flavors and mix ins. 15 out of 10 all around. The restaurant has only been opened for 2 months. I was waiting for a table at roses daughters a few nights before and they let me sit at an outside table in their restaurant and was so nice so i thought i want to give them my business. The wagyu beef was so well done and cooked exactly as intended and i don't think i ever had meat that good. The dips especially the cashew dip and lamb chops were also great. I hope people learn about them because if you like fine dining in a sweet place this is it. read more

This new restaurant was a great find and a exciting addition to the Delray restaurant scene. As this restaurant just opened recently I think they are in need of working out some kinks in making the service faster, expediting and simple things like changing out plates and cutlery. The staff was friendly and offered good suggestions. The food however was great. The wagyu tenderloin tartare was fabulous, as well as the Spanish charred octopus. Everything was excellent. Hannah is a delightful hostess, our server, Anthony, was attentive and friendly. The outdoor tables were lovely, but the best was the food. We started with an under the radar Chilean Chardonnay, and the two "Sparks" appetizers, octopus and shrimp. The sauce fit the shrimp was amazing. I have to admit I was a little nervous sitting down at 165 with few other customers and Rose's Daughter packed next door. I shouldn't have been. The food is truly excellent, the service is attentive without being overbearing and the ambiance is lovely. We had scallops and the daily Thai curry seafood special. Flavors were spot on, everything was cooked perfectly and there is great attention to detail. I highly recommend it! The only negative I can mention is the portion size relative to price. 3 scallops were $46 and the special was $64. The food is WELL worth these prices (think much closer to fine dining than what you're likely to see at similar price points in Del Ray) but just know what you're getting before you go. read more

165 has a phenomenal chef. The food now competes with the other "best" restaurant in Delray Beach: The Grove. However 165 is experiencing what all new restaurants suffer from: dysfunctional service. Although the waiter, Nicolas, was as good as the food, the other dining room staff were useless. They need a manager running the place. The bartender was the most useless employee. He had no knowledge of wines. When one spends $150 per person and drinks good wine, I expect that someone knows about wine. Make organizational adjustments and 265 can compete against the best. One word of advice: you have a great chef and a great waiter. Work on getting the food out of the kitchen in a more timely manner. read more

Lovely dining room, excellent wait staff and a creative and inspired menu put Table 165 towards the top of my list of Delray restaurants. My wife and I very much enjoyed a 2+ hour dinner for date night. Started with a tuna sashimi and korean inspired fried shrimp dish, both delightful. My wife loved the grilled swordfish over cous cous while I loved the tile fish highlighted with a meyer lemon cream drizzle. Excellent flavor palatte. Deserts of a spin on key lime pie (great crust) and an olive oil lemon cake with mango sauce and berry compote rounded out an excellent meal. Fabulous meal. Restaurant has a very relaxed vibe and the food was spectacular. We were a big group and so we had just about all the appetizers and I can't say one was better than the other. Ok the ceviche was amazing but truly they were all great. My wife and I split the catch of the day which was red snapper and it too was fabulous as was the salmon which we tasted. I am not a red meat eater but apparently the lamb chops were to die for. The lemon cake was a perfect way to end the dinner. Definitely will return when we are back in Del Ray. read more

The food and menu are excellent. Upscale dishes with a nice offering of appetizers --crudos, boards and salads. The salmon and yellowtail apps were delicious. Great pop of flavors from the light sauces and dollops. Beet and burrata salad was nice. The lamb loin was super yummy. It had a nice crust. We ordered it med/rare and it looked a bit over done, but they must have sous vide it then crisped because it was perfect. Super tender and flavorful. Served with fresh veggies. The chocolate flourless cake with vanilla cream was decadent and the perfect end! They have a nice drink menu and small but good wine list. The venue /ambiance looks like a pop- up. Sorta temporary looking. Small and loud too. If they stick around hopefully they will invest in something to soften the sound and some better furniture (tables look IKEAesque) and soft benches don't really work (no back, too low). The manager women /owner soooo rude and horrible !! we were gonna leave before the main entrée was served. It had taken forever. The waiter sent the owner over and she was extremely rude.
