Still my favorite breakfast place. Love the food and atmosphere. Wish though they figure out a way to reduce the wait time for food.

My boyfriend and I consider this one of our favorite places to have brunch. Not only were the city grits our absolute favorite item on the menu, the service was pleasant, too. Our server was Sam, who had great energy and was personable. We just wish there was more seating! read more

dirty silverware...frozen food, bad service, and high prices!!...very overrated and will not return!!....go to your local breakfast shop and save yourself....was very dissapointed and waited to get in......they don;t even make their own home fries!! read more

My wife and I came to brunch on Sunday at 1:30pm. Very poor first impression and the second and third impressions were no better. The restaurant was hot and humid, about the same as outside maybe hotter, with the smell of a grease fire when you walked in. We were sat, and after 10 minutes passed we requested our server come to our table and no one to came to greet us or tell us they would be with us soon. I would have liked to try the food, but after 15 minutes the customer service appeared to be a reflection of what we could expect from the food. Plenty of other options in the area. read more

Best breakfast/brunch spot in Delray Beach. Our waitress Ceci went above and beyond to make our visit amazing.

First timer, was delicious, loved our waitress Sara, so friendly, helped us with the menu, we both had yummy omelets

We decided to try another broken egg for the second time today. The first time we weren't that pleased with the food. Today was great, monica made it a very delightful brunch for us. She explained the new seasonal items and her favorite item to us shrimp and grits, which my husband got and absolutely loved. Today was a much better experience overall. read more

When I arrived, it was not busy and I was seated promptly. I was dining alone. I ordered a Bloody Mary and the eggs benedict with crab cakes. The food came out pretty quickly and was delicious. I love crab and eggs benedict, so this was a great combo for me. While the food was very good, service was sub-par. My server, Jenna, did not come to make sure my food order came out, did not refill my water, and seemed to spend a lot of time chatting with coworkers at the bar. Maybe she wasn't bothered with me because I was dining alone, but I was extremely unimpressed. read more

I was in town visiting my brother. On our last day he recommended this place for breakfast. And it was probably the best breakfast we had out in a long time. The food was great and the staff was even better. Our waitress, Katie, was prompt and always came to our table with a great smile and was very friendly and patient. When we couldn't decide on what to get she made some suggestions and I'm glad I took them! Next time I visit Florida I'll definitely be coming back, if not for the food then definitely for the excellent service!!! read more

Jenna was an awesome server. Really warm and friendly. Food is always exceptional. highly recommend

The wait was long but the good was good and so was the service. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Excellent service and food . Caroline was a 5 star server. Even though they were busy still got our food pretty fast they even give you coffee to go. read more

I do not usually write reviews but my husband and I went to brunch on Sunday and we were blown away by the customer service provided by the manager Jelly. I run a catering business so I know how important going the extra mile is. We did not receive our beignets before our meal like we asked, we weren't that upset but Jelly came over and told us that the beignets were on the house and even gave us a free beignet card for our next visit. It's rare to find customer service like that nowadays. The food was delicious as well and we will definitely be making this our new brunch spot! read more

My friends and I enjoy Saturday or Sunday brunch here once a week! Jenna did a great job waiting on our table today! The bloody Mary's are outstanding, but I suggest regular vodka over the pepper vodka if you have a delicate stomach. Food is always excellent! read more

So we went to the broken egg for the first time. It was a 30 min wait but well worth it!! Our waitress Sarah was beyond superb to say the least. We started off with a blueberry lemonade mimosa pitcher for my husband and I, it was actually more then enough and very tasty. Both our kids had the chocolate chip pancakes which was perfect since it came with eggs and bacon so need to add on another side!! My meal was tasty and flavorful, Sarah checked on us more then the average hostige. She always let us know what we could expect and had the best manners while being so informative!! Everything she recommended was a hit and her smile was so genuine! We honestly had a great time and I can't wait to come next month for my husband birthday! We had the best time and the place was very neat. read more

Good breakfast spot. Minimal wait with a yelp reservation. Nice portions. First timers get free beignets

We loved this place. We waited just a couple minutes for the hostess to clear a booth for us. She was nice and eager to help us get seated. The waitress was very kind and efficient. We ordered biscuit beignets and city grits for appetizers. Coffee and a Bloody Mary. City grits were fantastic! We ordered the Biscuits and Gravy and the cinnamon roll French toast. Both amazing. I wasn't crazy about the homemade sausage but my husband loved it. It was a tad spicy for me. Food came out quickly and service was fantastic. We can't wait to return! read more

Nothing special, simple breakfast, long wait, mediocre service, horrible parking.

My hubs & I were starving & it was very close by so we gave it a shot. A very good shot indeed. I had the huevos rancheros which was really good. It came w/ country style potatoes. My husband had the chicken Caesar which he devoured like he was in a timed competition. Needless to say, he loved it. He also drank several ice teas & I enjoyed a delightful decaf skim ices latte. Our server was great & very attentive. Complaints, I wish I would have ordered several more lattes but that is my own fault. I only gave it a 4 because it unfortunately took way to long for our food to come out. Will try again because the food was great & maybe then I can revise to a 5 read more

I love the cozy feel of the smaller Boca site, but the powerhouse seating at this larger Delray site means there's less waiting time. Which is great, because the couple times I've been here, I've been starving. You'll always have a really great breakfast at The Broken Egg Cafe, but for the best service, eat at the bar. read more

It was out first time here and they gave us free beignets! They were very delicious, we also had a pitcher of mimosas with our meals. The food came out hot and was so good. read more

I think the cost doesn't match the meal. 2.69 for coffee or a beverage is way overpriced. The omelette was eggselent. Ask for Erica. Wonderful server. read more

My 7 year old daughter was given an alcoholic beverage instead of a chocolate milk. They don't know how to manage beverage in this business. Not to mention that beverage had Nutella and she is highly allergic to treenuts. I asked what gluten free options they have and they have no idea what is gluten. Horrible . read more

Kiara is an excellent server. Good was great and super clean place. We loved it! FYI - came on a Thursday and the morning PPP started at 9:30 am. read more

First and last time here. We sat for 15 minuets with an empty restaurant. The server did not make eye contact. Finally only after I went to leave he came over and asked has anyone helped us. He was the server in that area. The food was ok but for a breakfast place they only have plan bagels. The food is way way over priced. I'll stick with bagels with or Einstein bagels. read more

Meah. Nothing great. Average meal. Service was lacking. Food was mediocre. Would not go back.

Food okay. Wait after being seated was too long. We weren't asked for refills until they brought the check. Probably not going back. Prices don't justify the service or quality of food. read more

I have mixed emotions about this place. I really wanted to love it and when we got there on a Sunday around 11am, it was packed so you could tell the food is good when so many people were waiting to get in. We waited 30 minutes and we for our table. My issue was the service from the waitress which didn't make my experience a 5 star. She had a sour puss face from beginning to end so maybe that's just how she is but nevertheless, to me, an excellent customer Service is very important. I asked her for Splenda for my coffee plus my mom wanted as well and it was as if I had asked her for gold, she brought me two packs. When I needed my coffee replenished she was chatting with a lady from the table across from me, apparently they knew each other, and it took forever to get her attention. When she stopped chatting, she passed by our table and I had to call out for her, "Excuse Me" I said and she looked at me as if I were bothering her. At this point, I was super annoyed with her lack of customer service so when I said, "I need more coffee please" it came out of my mouth with no pleasantness so she was taken aback, I could tell. She came back with my coffee and at this point tried to fake a smile and asked if I had enough sugar. Sarcasm? I believe so, I just replied, "can I get some milk for my coffee?" Wow! Not coming back to this one which is the one in Delray Beach for sure. I'll give it another chance by going to the one in Boca Raton next time and hopefully it'll be better if not, there are other restaurants serving excellent breakfasts. read more

One of the best omelette's I've ever had. The Floridian Omelette ( crab with cream cheese ) was perfection. Just the right thickness, flavor and moisture intact. A very nice portion of crab and cheese on top. Liz our waitress was very kind, patient and helpful with making our experience first class. read more

I was in town for business and looking for yummy brunch on my day off. I had a great experience at this location. The hostess was very friendly and I was seated quickly in the bar. The bartender Jenna was awesome and so friendly and helpful even though I could see she was busy! I am vegetarian and she helped me find something new to try (the granola & quinoa dish--SO good) and suggested a cucumber Bloody Mary which was PERFECT!!! She even made suggestions of some places to check out in the area on my day off. She was fabulous, and I really like this restaurant!!!! read more

Awesome food and service. Thank you so much for making our celebration so wonderful, Cecilia "CiCi"

Have been there twice since it opened. I loved the decor, but found the food to be bland. The sausage was tasteless, the fried green tomatoes were beautifully fried but lacked seasoning. I thought my taste buds were off, but asked others in the party to taste and they had the same opinion. We had beautiful omlets with cheese melted on them but the centers were dry. Its a shame, the place is very tropical looking but the food was disappointing. read more

Great but super fattening food and sometimes the ingredients are not what you think. I noticed frozen tiny shrimp but it was made w this incredible sauce so I just ate the grits. Shrimp grits it was and I would t order it again. But eggs Benedict w the skirt steak is superb. read more

Broken Egg has has more than the usual breakfast items with a lot of fresh ingredients and a New Orleans twist. Options for healthier items such as the skinny omelet with fruit or the more indulgent items like beignets and raspberry french toast. We enjoy the southwest salad for lunch too! read more

My favorite breakfast place in the area. Parker was my waiter today and he was fabulous.

I've been dining at this restaurant for years. Not at this particular location because it's fairly new. As far as the Delray location goes cool ambiance, I have no complaints. The food is typically good. At this Delray location within the last 3 months, the quality of the food has not been the same. I don't know if there's a new kitchen staff or what. read more

We have frequented this establishment several times. This location has not been open that long (couple months), but we had better service when they were new and busier. This morning when we entered there were few (maybe 3) tables sat and a large amount of staff playing around and visiting. It took over HALF AN HOUR for our food to come out. By then the restaurant had filled up, but we'd ordered before the rush. The two things that really cemented it for us was 1) the manager decided to call a staff meeting at 8:30!!! The Saturday morning breakfast Rush was walking in the door and he was grabbing up all of his staff (bar, servers, bussers, and hostesses!) to head to the kitchen! 2) This is a predominantly breakfast restaurant, so most establishments always keep the coffee flowing. Not today. My husband had an empty cup for 20 minutes. We tried to get any of the MANY servers playing around to notice, but I guess it was interfering with their good times and "staff meeting". We usually order one of their omelettes or Benedict dishes, which are very good (any of the goat cheese or cream cheese variations are delicious, though rich in taste). Today I was disappointed by the potato side dish, which had nice seasoning, but was brick hard and cold on the inside. My daughter had the kids dollar pancake with scrambled eggs. It was average, but I do like that all of the kids meals have a choice of egg, bacon or sausage. Overall, the food is good, but it's overpriced when considering the service was awful. There are so many better options that provide better service and food for less money. We will likely not return. read more
