Not very tidy.
Amarilyz H.

Not very welcoming. We were greeted with 'table for 2'. We said good morning and she repeated the same. Didn't make us want to stay. This is our second visit. First visits was worse but they had recently opened so today was our second try. Place was quite empty but we waited a long time for food. Service was poor and cold. Bar area was empty and dirty. Food was ok nothing exceptional.

Well, this place feels like my safe home on Saturdays. The food is delicious, prepared in what I consider one of the best kitchens. The ambiance is wonderful, and the staff is spectacular. For more than 5 years, it has been my favorite place for breakfast. I highly recommend it.

Great Veterans day meal! Nice of them to honor those who served Everything was delicious!

Delicious The wait wasn't too long, and the staff was very friendly during the short wait we were there for. The menu had so many delicious options so it was extremely hard to pick. Our server was very knowledgeable and offered advice on his favorites. It was very busy and the scenery blocked out the main road, so you wouldn't even know that you were right on the main road in a busy plaza. It was very relaxing and enjoyable.

Pretty much your classic breakfast spot chain. Overall decent quality, no fish was outstanding with flavors or uniqueness but nothing was bad! Service was great. It was crowded when we got there Saturday morning but we only had to wait about 15 minutes. I wish I realized there is a online "waitlist" you can join on Yelp prior to getting to the restaurant. We sat outside and it was gorgeous weather, unfortunately right next to the parking lot on the highway so nothing special to look at.

Salted Caramel Cold Brew

The food was great and very filling! The pancakes were thin but fluffy at the same time and so tasty. The salted caramel cold brew was perfect. Our server Monica (?) was nice and attentive. We were a group of 4 & arrived before 10 so we got seated within a few mins. The noise is moderate with people talking.

Good breakfast place in Delray. There is lots of shopping and things to do in the area so it's a great place to start your day.

The service is excellent and so is the food. They get very busy on the weekends so make sure to check in online before heading out.

Can I make a reservation for Sunday...outside ..4 people...9:30 am?

Good question but honestly I don't know I think calling the restaurant would be my first choice and if they said yes then I could automatically make the reservation

Can we make a Reservation?

No, you just put your name on the wait llist and they text you.

The vegetables were delicious - we had sides of sautéed spinach ($9) and charred Brussels sprouts (listed as an app at $14). A meatballs starter ($16) was also enjoyed - with a dollop of whipped ricotta in the center. Two of us had pasta entrees. The spaghetti could best be described as "industrial" or "so so" (as one dining companion said). The chicken in the chicken Marsala was "very good". The butterflied shrimp in the parmigiana was so thickly encrusted with fried breading, that the shrimp was completely overwhelmed by mouthfuls of crusty batter that adhered to the shrimp. It was hard to appreciate the shrimp at all in there. They were huge (in fact, they looked like small breaded chicken filets). But the excess of breading and batter overwhelmed the shrimp. Also, stomach not feeling so great later. I write this from the throne. The server had the manager come over to speak to us, and he insisted that's just how it's made and that was that. (He offered to have a few more shrimp cooked up but the meal was done at that point). $32 was a lot to pay for mediocre pasta and breading with shrimp. On the fair side, when asked about the shrimp parmigiana vs another dish, the server said that she would recommend the shrimp because there would be more to take home after - which was not our goal for dinner. For my meal I would give it no more than 2 stars but my companions enjoyed theirs more (despite the "so so" spaghetti), so I upped to 3. Will not be eating here again.

They have a really nice outdoor seating area, complete with heaters when needed. We chose to dine inside. The vibe inside the restaurant was kind of a boho rustic feel, and I really liked it. Soft lighting and music really set the tone. We were immediately greeted by our server, Gustavo, and given our menus. We don't drink, but they had a nice selection of drinks, cocktails and spirits. We decided to start with the sweet and sour cauliflower. It was absolutely delicious! Cauliflower battered and fried and tossed in a sweet and sour sauce. For our entree we shared the 44oz Creekstone ribeye. It was served with charred broccolini and and a fried airy potato side dish that was out of this world! The steak came sliced and off the bone, so it was perfect for sharing. It was served with 3 toppings; a horseradish sauce, a balsamic glaze, and delicious mixture of sliced peppers. Our steak was cooked perfectly, and seasoned well. We did not have dessert there, as we had a birthday cake at home. And I feel remiss that I didn't even look to see what they had. Overall, it was the perfect place to have a romantic, celebratory dinner! Thanks Driftwood. *Just a Note ~ I found it odd they added a 20% tip on a 2 top table, and I was glad I noticed it on the bill before we double tipped.

A few of the things I liked.. - Fruit juice used for mixers is made in-house fresh daily. The drinks are creative and made well. - The sweet and sour cauliflower, the sliders, the chicken and dumplings. - Servers are always knowledgeable and attentive - indoor and outdoor seating with fans on a warm day. Upscale vibe with dim lighting. - plenty of parking A few I didn't.. - The fish dip was just ok - the fried part of the southern fried chicken while juicy on the inside, lacked flavor - the up charge for almond vanilla milk in the espresso martini without being told up front of the added cost -the steak tartare happy hour portion is 1 bite-sized piece. Just offer the normal sized portion for a reduced happy hour price as opposed to 1/4th the portion for 1/3rd the price. Overall I would say every experience is good but not great. I would recommend giving this restaurant a try and seeing if you agree with my review.

The espresso martini was good as was the Point Break, with tequila and guava juice, very nice, very tropical. Avalon Beach House used to be Avalon Steak & Seafood House. The first time I went in 2022, I remember it being more of a traditional steakhouse. The Ave has grown significantly around it over the years, but it's still one of the staple restaurants in a central location. Overall, it was great meal with good service and nice atmosphere. It's sill one of the gems. We started with the wedge salad and cheesy bread. We wanted to get the Filet Mignon and the Prime Cut Ribeye to share them, but they were out of the Filet which was a bit surprising. Instead, we got the Crispy Chicken Piccata. They were both excellent. The fingerlings and asparagus were good and loved the red wine sauce. The crispy chicken was not too heavy, with lemon and an ample arugula salad. I don't remember the name of desert, but it was a combo of a browny with an Oreo cookie layer (which the kid in me couldn't refuse) with a scoop vanilla ice cream. It was great.
