I've been wanting to check out this brunch spot for a while, and I'm so glad I finally did! The decor is absolutely stunning. Every area has its own unique style, but somehow it all comes together beautifully #instagramready The menu has a little bit of everything from teas, coffees, sandwiches, toasts, classic breakfast staples, and plenty of other brunch options. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented with an orchid in every plate. We were a large party; of 18 women, and our server, Hector, was amazing. Taking care of a large party is not easy, but he was incredibly patient, organized, attentive, and always had a great attitude. He made sure everyone had what they needed, and was even part of the big surprise for the guest of honor. We definitely had an amazing time and never felt rush to leave. My family chose Father's Day to try The Modern Rose out. I had visited their booth at the Delray Beach Market years ago, so I was interested in seeing how they had grown. The atmosphere was absolutely adorable. I felt like I was in a retro teahouse - the colors were vibrant and celebratory, exactly what we were looking for on a special day to celebrate my father. There were so many dishes and drinks to choose from. I stuck to my typical iced Americano, which was bold and fresh and a great start to the meal. My father and I both chose the Tulum sandwich. I'm not someone who enjoys sweet breakfast, so I'm glad that sandwiches were available. The sandwich was absolutely full of textures and colors. The flavors went well together, but both my father and I felt like it lacked a little bit of heat. I asked for Tajin, because I thought that it would be a really good addition of sourness and spice, but unfortunately, Tajin was not available. The selection of hot sauces, on the other hand, was fantastic, and both my father and I slathered our sandwiches in hot sauce. The service was fantastic. For such a busy day like Father's Day, our server was on her toes from beginning to end, tending to a number of booths, but making us feel like we were her top priority throughout our experience. Okay... wow! That's how I'm going to start my review. It's one of the best breakfasts I've had this year, so much, I tried to recreate it at home because this place is about 2 and 1/2 hr from me. I went to The Modern Rose for brunch on Sunday. It's very hard to get a table on the weekends unless you have a reservation. I was lucky enough to get two seats at the bar, which was surprisingly roomy and comfortable. Service was lacking a little. I think because we were at the bar, we didn't receive the same level of attention as the tables. While it took a little long to order, the food was excellent. I ordered the modern egg sandwich with an over medium egg, and the egg was cooked perfectly. I also ordered the blue Maui tea, which was not too sweet and very flavorful. The Modern Rose may look less than average in the outside, but stepping in is like going through the wardrobe to Narnia! It is an elegant little coffee shop decked out with lush florals. The deep shades of reds and pink create an ambiance that immediately makes you want to snuggle up with a delicious, warm coffee. The staff here are incredibly friendly. I came with my daughter and noticed several others mamas with strollers! They were more than accommodating, places us in a cozy booth with plenty of room for my stroller next to the table. The menu is beautifully decorated and has more beverage choices than I could ever imagine! Check out the photos on yelp if you are curious about specific coffees, as they all have unique presentation and garnishes! Everything we ordered exceeded my expectations. The rose latte was creamy, not too sweet, and the perfect boldness. I drank about half and then took a hot cup to go shopping! My Better Than... croissant may have been pricey, but it was totally worth it. I really appreciate how much time was put into the presentation of this croissant. It was drizzled with honey and garnished with almonds, stuffed with warm Brie cheese and fruit. Absolutely amazing!!! My mom for the coffee cake and cleaned her plate. A lot of items on the menu lean on the sweet side, so if you don't have a sweet tooth think twice about what you're gonna order. That said it was a good breakfast with a fun twist. The menu needs a bit of explanation on the first visit but the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. One of our group said his Cobble salad was superb among the best he has ever had. As a measure of how well we enjoyed our lunch we made reservation before we left for a return visit. A bit pricey for lunch but not brunch. With coffee, tip and tax the tab was $65 for a couple.. What a wonderful brunch spot! The modern rose was chosen by a close friend of mine and I was blown away. As soon as you walk in, the interior design is fabulous! Flowers, Christmas decorations and very beautifully decorated statues, sculptures and lamps. I couldn't stop looking around at everything. There was so much in the detail! I ordered the iced lavender latte with almond milk to start. It was a mix of lavender, vanilla and espresso. It had a very floral taste! For the main course, I got the blooming breakfast which came with a slice of toast doused with fruit spread that was like a jam consistency topped with strawberries, blueberries and chia seeds. I got 2 eggs overhard on the side. It was delicious and fresh! My friend ordered the modern egg pizza which I took a bite of! The flavors of mozzarella, prosciutto, basil, pesto, 2 eggs and balsamic glaze on naan bread was such a perfect blend. Really nice to split this. The only issue was the Ezekiel bread substitution; my server said no, so I paid extra for a croissant, but the owner later told me there were other options. The Modern Rose - A Hidden Gem for Brunch Lovers We visited The Modern Rose for the first time for brunch, and what a wonderful experience it was! The restaurant is tucked away in a small strip mall, so parking can be a little limited -- but we lucked out and found a spot right in front. As soon as we walked in, the owner Kelly greeted us warmly, which set the tone for the whole visit. Even though we didn't have reservations and were told there'd be a 20-25 minute wait, we were seated at the bar within about 5 minutes. Perfect! While waiting, we couldn't help but admire the display case filled with gorgeous muffins, cakes, and macarons -- the Key Lime Pie in particular looked amazing (next time, for sure!). The decor inside is beautiful and eclectic, with so much charm. The bar area was great with plenty of space to enjoy our drinks and food comfortably. Our server, Patrice, was fantastic -- friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. She recommended the Venetian Avocado Toast, Modern Egg Sandwich, and the Health Nut -- all of which sounded delicious. We ended up ordering the Full Bloom Flight and The New Englander. The Full Bloom Flight included three types of toast -- Brioche Bacon Egg & Cheese, Fresh Strawberry PB&J, and Cinnamon French Toast. It was both yummy and filling! The New Englander came with eggs, bacon, and toast. My husband really enjoyed his breakfast and said the toast was exceptional. The people working behind the bar, including Patrice, were constantly busy but still managed to keep everything spotless -- cleaning as they went. The bathroom was also clean and cutely decorated. We enjoyed our drinks so much that we ordered another Cappuccino, and I tried an Iced Caramel Macchiato -- it was not too sweet and very tasty. Next time, I definitely want to try one of their coffee flights! Before leaving, we chatted with the manager, Tom, who mentioned they're planning to add more South African dishes to the menu soon -- including Boerewors, a South African sausage. He also told us about a possible caviar flight with different types of toast, and that they'll be adding alcoholic drinks in the future. Hoping for processo flights! Also, I was happy to note that this location is BIG. It's spacious, has 3 big fully decorated areas with booths, one of which is kind of "set apart" and they do some events there! What a cute place to host a birthday or baby shower! Idk there was a larger group with some extra decor and favors at the time we were there! Anyway, we had some brunch items that were both good in taste and presentation, and I had one of their drinks that was very delicious as well. Their menu is... a lot! The modern rose did not disappoint. They have a big variety of teas both hot and cold, 16oz or a pot. We were a group of 8 with reservations. Definitely make a reservation if you have a big group. It was nice of them to call letting us know our table is gonna be push back by 15 mins, not a big deal but I thought it was nice of them to give us a heads up instead of a whole group of us waiting at the door. I appreciate that. We love the ambiance, so lovely decorated. The food is delicious, From salads to sandwiches to flatbreads and breakfast items. All delicious. I have yet to try their flight of teas so next time will have to try it. I would definitely come back. Just be aware of limited parking, plan on street parking. read more

My friend had her bridal shower here. We were sat in the back room. The service was excellent! They allowed each person to place an order and do separate checks. The manager took pictures of our group throughout the restaurant with fun backdrops. The restaurant is broken into 3 separate areas which helps with sound levels. The decor is really creative and fun. Make sure you check out both bathrooms. I wish they had a tea list. They have signature tea drinks, but I was interested in loose leaf tea served in a teapot. I went with black tea chai and it was served in a teapot with no tea bag or leaves. They brewed it and put it in the pot. I don't know if it was made with loose leaves or a bag. Also, the chocolate cake is made by a bakery. It was moist and had a Mouse like layer. The frosting didn't taste fresh. I'm very particular about my chocolate cake and this one doesn't make the cut. I had no idea ahead of time that this was a trending spot, and as the door indicates voted the most unique cafe in Florida... but it 100% checks out. Inside feels like you're straight out of Alice in Wonderland. A really cool vibe. The menu looks absolutely phenomenal and this is definitely a place I'll be going back to for a brunch date without a doubt. The coolest thing was that they have flights of both food AND drinks, like you'd find at a brewery, but for meals and coffee so you truly can try everything at a reasonable price. Service was great, friendly, attentive, and gave attention to detail. I did the SZN flight which had the nauti mermaid, the churro cold brew, and the almond joy latte, plus the spotlight drink was a strawberry matcha. Every single one was delicious and it was so cool getting to be able to try them all, and with full aesthetic appeal too! These folks know what they're doing from both an edible stance as well as a marketing stance because how can you not want to try all these great tasting and incredible looking drinks and foods?! I give this one my gem must try special star, beyond my normal 5 star rating. I've always wanted places to do sampler flights and they nailed it so they deserve all the praise. The Modern Rose is super cute and well decorated. It's a small spot and when we arrived this morning, there was a wait so we opted to sit at the bar. I mainly came for the coffee flight which did not disappoint. However, the food and service was unfortunately not up to par. I tried The Marcia sandwich, which was incredibly salty (I've never tasted anything so over salted before) and my side salad was so dry. My husband had the McGriddle Tower (scrambled eggs) and it came out with sunny side up eggs. Both of our meals took over 30 minutes to come out and they arrived cold. We barely saw our server and we did not experience an attentive staff. While the coffee was great, I would not come back. We spent $70 to only enjoy our drinks. read more

There are very limited parking spots in their lot so you may have to circle around and look for spots nearby. I did that and found parking a few blocks down. I walked in around 12pm on a Sunday and put my name down. It was about 30 minutes until I got called up. I had asked for first come first serve and was seated at the bar. The inside is so cute here! I tried the Venetian avacado toast and I'm addicted. It was the perfect portion size for my brunch and I really enjoyed the balsamic glaze that brought the flavors together. I also ordered a side of sunny side up eggs to go with my meal. I ordered a caramel macchiato and I thought it was delicious. Would definitely continue to come back for the food here. read more
