I can only give you a picture of these cute little mugs they have, because we inhaled our food. This place is OMG good. We came for breakfast and both got the Southwestern Scrambler and the Biscuit Beignets. Everything was delicious down to the orange marmalade that came with the biscuits and guacamole that came with the breakfast plate. Nothing was a disappointment. I took my out of town guests here and was extremely impressed. Our server was amazing, helpful and funny. We were brought a complimentary order of Biscuit Beignets, which were wonderful. We all had a different breakfast, which did not disappoint. I had to have the lobster Brie omelette, and it was incredible! The loaded grits and fresh potatoes were also great. The experience in all was fantastic, and I can't wait to go again. My family is a huge Eggs Benedict fan, and this place has a wonderful selection of specialty Benedict dishes. First time was full of spice and yumminess, this time was peppered vodka and tomato juice. Still pretty good though. My only complaint is the hostess. I'm not typically a brunch person unless dragged out from the comfort of my bed, but no dragging necessary for this spot. First off, and paramount among brunch/breakfast experiences, the coffee is solid. That and their mugs are great (and for purchase). We were treated to a complimentary order of biscuit beignets which had all the powdery goodness of a regular beignet, but with an extra crunch from the biscuit aspect. Their menu walks that fine line between variety and overwhelming, and there's something for everyone with plenty of Cajun-inspired dishes for the more adventurous. Also, there are plenty of opportunities for crab meat and cheesy grits. Lastly, and maybe even more important than the coffee is the service. The restaurant is a tight-run operation that's able to handle the brunch rush, and especially able to handle large groups with grace. I would definitely recommend popping over, and certainly to those that haven't ventured further than Snooze for an Austin brunch spot. read more

We were excited to try a new breakfast cafe because we've seen lines at the door on weekends. We were seated at a table that smelled and the seats of the booth had not been cleaned. We waited for 10 minutes to be served and finally had to ask the girl at the front fir help getting a waiter as others who were seated after us already had water and coffees. Finally a waitress showed up and had a surly attitude when we asked her to wipe down the table and seats. We were ignored further and eventually got the manager to assist. Things only got worse with the waitress' attitude. Food arrived warm at best, and the pancake arrived after our other food was eaten. The manager had to receive it from the kitchen and afterwards asked how our meal was to which we replied that it was warm at best and he said sorry and walked away. We finished and left, never to return. We're not picky people and we tip 30-40 % during Covid to help the staff, but I left a highlighted $-0-for a tip. read more

Really good Lucy omelette, where chorizo was meaty and tasty, fresh ripe fruit, good quality ingredients and good coffee. SO ordered a seasonal benedict, he said the egg was delicious and well prepared but the ensemble and other ingredients didn't quite fit. It seems this place is just another breakfast or brunch spot but something they should advertise is that it is south inspired. Most entrées have either chorizo, bacon, lobster, salmon and crawfish, there are beignets and gris too. They have a vegetarian and gluten free menu we didn't see but I'm very curious about.The pancakes read well in the menu but they weren't as good as the main entrees. The pancakes were doughy, it feels they had too much flour and no leavening agent, definitely not fluffy. Overall we had a good breakfast, we would only go back for egg related dishes which at least honors the name of the place. read more

Great find for a surprising variety of breakfast and lunch options. Plenty of outside seating with (6) 4-tops and (4) 2-tops for 30 seats. Ceiling fans outdoors to help even more if it is still Texas toasty outdoors. We enjoyed fine coffee and tasty breakfast combos. The service was outstanding as well. I understand minor mishaps with this sort of thing although that can be a problem, but in this case they literally didn't remove an entire non-gluten free component from the dish so not a minor mishap.
