Very disappointed. We came from Round Rock to try this because we've been to other locations in other states. Wanted a fun experience for a Saturday morning. We walk in to a mostly empty place. No one at the host stand and no one comes to greet us. Someone was waiting on a to go order. They brought that out and didn't acknowledge us. A lady went behind the bar and then finally looked my way and decided to come over and ask if we have been helped. If we had would we be standing there? We get seated and then two other tables shortly followed. Both received a waiter for their drink order. My husband and I with our 8 year in tow finally decided it was just ridiculous and left. My husband loves this place the cinnamon roll French toast is his go to and it's pretty good but other than that I have to be honest im not much of a fan for the food but to each is own however , the service we received from Mariah was exceptional. I was looking for a new breakfast place and the name sounded really interesting. The reviews did the rest. I decided to try it out. Delicious food. Menu was very interesting. The quantity was huge and everything tasted yummy. We ordered Fresh toast with apple fritters and OMG - it was mind blowing. The crab topped cream cheese filled omelette was also delectable. Food was great. Service I'm not so sure about. My mom and I have been waiting for almost an hour a typical weekend restaurant. I know because I work as a host at another restaurant and as a server. Host were amazing they got us seated as soon as they had availability , we were seated .our mom and I were amazed by all the food options and how good they sounded and looked. As soon as our server Cheyenne took care of us she was instantly rude. My mother was ready to order and Cheyenne stop and gave us a sarcastic smile asking if we were ready when we had mentioned we where. Hey I get it weekends can be packed and everyone is overwhelmed but this was beyond. My mom order a coke as a drink and she politely asked the server if she can get another coke since the one she had was flat. She took one sip and asked for a better coke. Cheyenne comes with the new drink as well as this man in a chef shirt Cheyenne said "can u taste it now and tell me if it's flat while the chef guy is laughing because Cheyenne said it very rudely my mother doesn't want any issues so she did as she was told .. it was still flat but my mom didn't wanna bother Cheyenne the most overwhelmed little girl I've seen working as a server . I looked at the man laughing at my mom ad she hurry's to take a sip and he immediately stoped laughing because they both knew how rude they where. Now that the pandemic is officially over, I can say that I have been back a number of times. The food is delicious (but decadent!), the drip coffee is top notch, and the service is outstanding. We really like their cocktails, as well. The only downside is how dang busy it is, but anything worth its salt in Austin is teeming with people. Looking forward to seeing how the new Linc location compares, but they have some big shoes to fill!! read more

After the disappointing service I received two years ago, my wife convinced me to give it another try. They were busy and it took about 20 minutes to get a seat by the bar, not bad. Then we proceeded to watch everyone seated before and after us get their food. That's 45 to 50 minutes after I was seated. I asked a waitress who wasn't one of the bartenders who was supposed to be taking care of us to check. Then the bartender noticed and came and said she'd check on it as well. They got our food out about 10 minutes later. I talked to a manager and explained how I'd twice had really bad service when they first opened and now I had the same thing happening again. I neither raised my voice nor used angry language, but the manager seemed to take it personally. Or perhaps she thought I was unjustified. Either way, when I asked how they were going to make it right, I got an unenthusiastic, "I'll look into it". She came back after the food was delivered and said they were going to comp the iced coffee I had and gave me a voucher for a free entree. Yes, I want to come back and get bad service and bad dealing with it again. Based on other restaurants that have compensated me for bad service this was lackluster. I've several times had my meal comped for less. I have a bad experience once or twice every three or so years. The last three times have all been at this same restaurant. The food was good, but not great for being $14. The Original Pancake House on Parmer has similar prices, better food, and better service. They are ten times further from my house and still worth it. read more

Place is cute and country style, service was terrible, food was cold, a simple waffle, sausage and egg plate was awful. Coffee was overcharged and water refills were non existing without waving someone down. We were hopeful to have a good breakfast place nearby. It seems like they are overthinking and over trying on the menu items. It's almost like they have too much seasoning and or too many fixing and flavors added to everything. I would give this place a five for the food. The food is fantastic. The coffee is great. once we were seated today, our waitress was outstanding. I go there often and I have gone there since they opened but the last few times I have been there. I have waited for a table for over 20 minutes while there are empty tables. Today they seated very large parties and similar size parties before they gave us a table when we asked about it, one of the waitresses told us not to worry about it, and was very rude. We asked for the manager just to clarify what was going on. Why there were so many empty tables and few people waiting. He came up and did not speak to us, but definitely spoke to the staff and we were seated immediately at tables that had been empty since we arrived there. The manager never came and spoke to us. Ahhh... this place is yet another establishment that spends more time on their food photos than their recipes. I ordered biscuits and gravy. Apparently the gravy needed a ton of cornstarch or IDK...it wasn't really gravy to me...gravy moves and shines with warm love...this one did nothing to that effect. It was almost...chalky?? I ordered an additional biscuit...they left it out of my order, even though I also tipped. Huh...things that make ya go..???What?! Good thing I checked my order. We arrived around 10:30 on a Sunday, so I was expecting a long waiting time and to my surprise it was less than 10 minutes. I really wanted to like this place, but the food is offensively bad. Everything we tried was clearly frozen mass produced junk. The kind of food you get at the all you can eat dining hall at a large state school. Biscuits, grits, gravy, fried potatoes, even the damn eggs were all junk. Flavorless and dried out from being the lowest grade cheapest possible food deep frozen and shipped in bulk to all the worst dining halls in America, plus this restaurant. The frozen section at HEB carries stuff 10x the quality of what this place serves. Biscuit beignets were chewy and textureless. Fried chicken was drier than jerky and easily twice as chewy. Eggs dry and flavorless, think powdered eggs cooked too long and you're right there. Dried out flavorless biscuits with no flakiness. I can't understand why someone would actually want to serve food like this to other people. Whoever owns this place should be ashamed and the food they sell to people should be a crime. read more

I always prefer a small business traditional breakfast place over a let's be different and trendy place. The food was good but overall experience was so disappointing. We joined the waitlist an hour ahead of time on Yelp. But when we arrived we were seated at the worst table outside in direct sunlight. When I asked to be moved to the shade or inside because I wanted wearing any sunscreen, the guy at the front was nice but our hostess was extremely rude about it and just pointed at a different table we could sit at. We had to move our menus and silverware from the original table ourselves. Then, our server was nice enough and we place our orders. We proceeded to wait for an hour in the heat outside for our food to come out with zero communication from the server about the status of our food. Finally when we asked where our orders were, she said that the cinnamon roll French toast was holding our order back. If I had known while ordering that it would be an hour wait for that menu item, I would have simply ordered something else. There just wasn't any communication from our server at all. We were there for 80 minutes total and only 15 of those minutes were spent eating because at that point we had been out in the heat for way too long. read more

Not for those with food allergies! The two stars are for the service - Levi was attentive and patient throughout my visit. Unfortunately, that's all I've got. I have an autoimmune condition, and cook most of my meals at home to ensure they are safe for me to eat. When I do dine out, I always research ahead of time to ensure the restaurant has both suitable options, and has been verified as taking food safety precautions in the kitchen. My research showed me that Another Broken Egg would do just that, unfortunately, it didn't prove true for me today, and want to make sure others suffering from food allergies or sensitivities are aware. I knew to ask for the gluten free menu upon entering, and advised Levi upon ordering that I was dairy and gluten free. I ordered the Veggie Delight Omelette off the gluten free menu, which is supposed to come with grits and gluten free bread. I specifically asked if the grits were pre-mixed with butter (they are), so asked for another option, and settled on fruit and gluten free toast, which I specified as dry (in addition to the initial dairy free callout). Wait time was a bit above average for the lack of crowd - probably close to 20 minutes for food to come out. When it arrived, the first thing I noticed was the pack of butter on the side with my toast - suspicious, but fine. The bigger problem was the POOL of butter my omelet was sitting in. The omelet itself looked incredible - plenty of mushrooms, tomatoes, and spinach baked into the egg, with goat cheese inside. I flagged Levi down, he confirmed it was indeed cooked with butter, and had it re-cooked in oil. The second omelet came out very quickly, and did not appear to be cooked in butter, but was pretty pathetic compared to the first - maybe a tablespoon of chopped tomatoes cooked in, I counted 3 leaves of spinach, and a few sliced mushrooms. No goat cheese at all. Levi quickly brought me a side of goat cheese to add myself, but the entire experience was beyond disappointing, especially given the reviews and the menu had such great promise. The icing on the cake? A $24 bill for said omelet and ~8oz of plain decaf coffee. Sadly, I will not be returning, and if you have any food restrictions, I recommend you don't either. read more
