Quaint breakfast spot with some great healthy low-cal options. If you're like us and enjoy eating out while also being conscious of your health, you'll find some good options here. We went on a Friday at noon and had no wait. Our waitress was training but she was super sweet and took good care of us. Quality food with quality service. read more

I'm always excited about trying a new breakfast spot, so I met with a friend on a Wednesday morning after choosing it from a few places on my list. We both ordered coffee and huevos rancheros. Honestly, the coffee nor the food was anything to write home about and the service was very slow for them to not be very busy in the dining area. Our waitress forgot water and coffee refills twice and we spent more time waiting than eating. I wanted to like this place but it wasn't a great first experience like I'd hoped for. I drove from Round Rock to eat here so I'd probably only ever be back if I was in the area. read more

Wow! What a great way to start the day! Came to Another Broken Egg Cafe before an appointment for breakfast. Kaia was awesome! She was not only courteous and friendly Kaia also enlightened us on the origin of the restaurant. We enjoyed our meal in cafe type setting. When in the area again we will not hesitate to stop by! The menu looked great, and food looked delicious, but my rating is due to the poor management and service I experienced my first and so far only time there. When we visited their AC was having issues which, I TOTALLY understand in Austin, especially that weekend. that wasn't the issue. The problem is that when we said we wanted a table inside and we were told it'd be a 20-30 min wait outside, no one mentioned anything about the AC. So we spent 20 min sweating outside just to come in to an equally hot and stuffy restaurant. It was immediately obvious that the AC wasn't on but our waitress didn't mention it. Once the heat became pretty unbearable, my aunt very politely asked a male manager what was going on, and he very, very, rudely snapped back that they were having AC issues. He seemed very uninterested and unapologetic towards our table of mostly senior citizen patrons who were overheating. Later, as I stared at a beautiful plate of crab cake Benedict I couldn't eat because it was so uncomfortably hot, I decided to just ask if I could send the food back and make the whole thing a wash. Normally I'd have just taken the food home but there was no way I'd be able to properly keep or reheat a crab cake Benny. When I explain this to the waitress she is reluctant to take the food back and she rolled her eyes as she took the untouched plate. It was the second time during our visit that someone working there belittled our discomfort and showed how annoyed they were at US for being too hot in a place with no AC during an excessive heat warning. Luckily, eventually, a female manager came over and handled the situation as it should have been handled in the first place. She was kind, understanding, and admitted there should have been better communication. However, I'm still really unsettled with how they decided to pretend nothing was wrong as people waited to be seated (the dishonesty of it all) and how the male manager spoke to my aunt when she was simply asking why it was so hot and how long it might be that way. 1 star read more

Wow just wow!! This place has there act together. What a great choice for brunch!! I'm always in search for great shrimp and grits and this restaurant nails it. I've had them from the east coast to the west coast and everywhere in between. Full of flavor and just the right spice and with truly creamy grits. The drinks are so good and flavorful with many options to choose from but my go to is a Bloody Mary! And the iconic mimosa for my wife! Lots of options on there menu for everyone in the family.. for a chain restaurant they're doing things right! Please give them a shot! read more

Visited this place today while visiting Austin and looking at Yelp and looking for somewhere I have never eaten at. Based on the manager, this place is a Southern and Louisiana inspired restaurant. Visited this place and it has a great feel. I got on the wait list and by the time I checked in and got sat was pretty quick. So the food. I ordered the classic French toast and they were really good and a big quantity. The eggs were cooked well and thick bacon was good. Best of all. The BEIGNETS were amazing!! You must try these! Yes amazing! Overall the breakfast was pretty good. Reason for 4 stars was because I just recently had the best French toast in Castroville, Texas at a place called Baby G. Now those are amazing French toast. Overall I would definitely eat here again . read more

Came in for another visit. More like a 4.5 star experience. Food was slightly inconsistent. Got the Mardi Gras omelette which tasted awesome but didn't look like any of the pictures I saw online. The omelette was pretty small and had very little hollandaise sauce. The crab cake was pretty bland as well. The rest of the table got the regular brunch staples (Pancakes and waffles) which all tasted delicious. Overall still one of the better brunch places but didn't meet the high standard they themselves set. read more

Another Broken Egg has become our go to breakfast spot since moving to Austin. They're consistently good across the menu - the benedicts, omelets, pancakes and beignets (sp?) get ordered consistently by whomever we bring. The benedict hash, the power omelet, and the bourbon street pancakes have all past the palette test and depending on what time we get there, the spiked salted caramel coffee gets ordered a time or two. And lastly, service is always excellent and friendly whether we're eating at the bar because the line for a table is too long, or we're there before the rush and have a table! read more

Searched out a new place for brunch and found this place. Wow. The menu will take many trips to go through. The owner gave us free beignets for being first time customers and they were molten dough balls of deliciousness. I looked like Hunter Biden at a cocaine party afterward with powered sugar covering my arms. The City Grits are a must have. Grits with bacon and green onions mixed with smoked Gouda cheese. They are a meal in and of themselves and left little room for the chorizo omelet. The Tito's Bloody Mary was nicely spicy and bold. The service was top notch. The worst thing I can say is that the food is so rich it's hard to finish. read more

Northwest Hills is notorious for being a wonderful, thriving community that lacks food options. I was excited to learn of this location opening and had to check it out the first week it opened. Since their opening, I have returned almost every week. Here are the non-negotiable items you HAVE to try: Bourbon Street Pancakes Mardi Gras Omelette Classic Eggs Benedict Whenever I come here with friends or family, I make sure someone from the table has ordered one of these so that I can make sure I have a bite. The waits can be long, but that can easily be avoided by checking in online. I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to anyone in the mood for breakfast/brunch food. read more

Never returning again, food looked great from afar, but we never got any of it. The table had food under it so I got food and syrup all over my shoe when we sat down. My husband had to get the highchair we asked for because they never brought it. We got drinks ordered, but had to walk up to another server to get cream for the coffee. Our waiter walked past us several times and took care of other tables before we finally got his attention to order food 30 minutes later. We waited another 40 minutes before waving our waiter down to leave with nothing. In the meantime several tables who came in after us were seated, ate and tables replenished with new people. I doubt our waiter ever put our food in. We wound up feeding our toddler his snacks for his meal because nothing ever came and he got hangry. Had good reviews, but did not measure up even close. Never returning again and would never recommend this place to anyone. Very disappointed. read more

Food: food was amaaaazing and there's plenty of sweet and savory options. I ordered the fig, citrus honey pancakes. the warm drinks come in cute little mugs and the baseline coffee is very tasty. Food is reasonably priced and the portions are hefty. Staff: super friendly and hospitable. My only complaint is the queuing estimation needs work. We got on the online queue so the table would be ready 5-10 min after we got there. We still had to wait another hour. Venue: venue is cute n comfortable and is on the noisy side. I wouldn't recommend sitting inside if you're trying to chat if you're hard of hearing. Quite a bit of covered outdoor seating. Parking is kinda gross (tiny spots and people with HUGE cars taking up 3 spaces) Would I come back? Absolutely, but probably in a smaller party. read more

Their burger is easily one of the best I've had in Austin, especially paired with their thin, crispy fries. It's my go-to order almost every time. One thing I love is that they switch up the steak portion of the menu a few times a year, and it never disappoints. Right now they have the steak au poivre, which is incredible, although I'm still craving their steak frites and hoping it makes a comeback. The escargot and French onion soup are also favorites of mine. At this point, June's has become a staple in our house--usually with a couple of Diet Cokes and either the burger or whatever steak they're featuring. A few of my friends swear by the chicken sandwich (fair warning: it can get a little messy!), the half roasted chicken, and the tuna crudo, so you really can't go wrong no matter what you order. Everyone else enjoyed their meals as well. While they validate parking for two hours, the information on their website about parking being $4 per hour after that for restaurant patrons is inaccurate. When we were driving out of the garage we were shocked to see a $48 bill at the machine. There is a QR code that you're required to use to join the waitlist/queue, but this is not clearly communicated on their website. You essentially have to arrive at the restaurant and figure it out once you're there. For a restaurant that is known for having long waits and high traffic, I feel like this information should be clearly stated online so people can plan accordingly. Once I joined the queue, I was number 43 and ended up waiting about an hour and a half before being seated. I understand that popular restaurants can have long wait times, but the lack of transparency about how the process works made the experience more frustrating than it needed to be. Once inside, the ambiance was actually quite quaint and charming. That said, considering how much traffic this restaurant gets, I was surprised by how limited the space is. I honestly think expanding the property would make a huge difference, although I understand that may not be entirely within their control. One thing I will give them major credit for is the menu. Online, the selection makes it look somewhat limited, but once you're there, they actually have 50+ food options, so there is plenty to choose from. That was definitely a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, my entrée was disappointing. I ordered a shredded beef taco with salsa and substituted a side salad. The beef was extremely tender, but unfortunately, it was also very dry. The salad was another disappointment because the vinaigrette was honestly not good. I don't think I've ever had a vinaigrette that I actively disliked until this meal. Thankfully, my fiancé had a much better experience. He ordered an enchilada and said it was one of the top five enchiladas he's ever had, so clearly there are some standout dishes on the menu. That definitely made me curious about trying something different if I ever return. I also really enjoyed that they offer hibiscus tea. I was very happy to see it on the menu, although I personally think it would be better served on its own rather than incorporated into one of their mixed drinks. The drink itself was just okay, but the hibiscus flavor was great. Overall, I can see why this place has become an Austin staple, but I think the experience could be improved significantly by making the waitlist process much clearer online and by improving the consistency of some of the food. The menu has a lot of potential, and clearly, some dishes are excellent! Unfortunately, mine just wasn't one of them.

From the moment I walked in, the ambience set the tone for what would be an unforgettable dining experience -- warm, welcoming, and just the right touch of cozy sophistication that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. The space felt like autumn wrapped in elegance. Let's talk service -- top-tier. Attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable without pretense. Every recommendation felt personal, and each dish was delivered with care and perfect timing. Now, the food. Wow. The shrimp and grits? Next level. Creamy, perfectly seasoned, and rich with flavor -- easily one of the best renditions I've ever had. The corned beef and Brussels hash was equally outstanding -- a genius combination of textures and flavors that had me savoring every bite. But the showstopper? The pumpkin crumb cheesecake waffle. Just saying it doesn't do it justice. It was decadent, beautifully spiced, and paired perfectly with their pumpkin old-fashioned -- a cocktail so well-balanced and autumnal, it deserves a standing ovation of its own. The Fall Harvest Menu is a masterpiece, and every bite felt like a celebration of the season. If you're looking for a place that delivers on atmosphere, flavor, and impeccable service -- this is it. read more

I arrived on a Saturday morning at 8 AM, and the wait was not too bad. The restaurant's website has a waiting list, which helped ease the waiting process. Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by a lively and casual atmosphere that was both inviting and welcoming. The interior had a lovely country, rustic feel that added to the overall ambiance. The service was impeccable, and the staff exuded Southern charm. They were attentive, friendly, and made my dining experience all the more enjoyable. For my meal, I ordered the Crab Cake Benedict, which consisted of jumbo lump crab cakes on an English muffin, topped with poached eggs, andouille-infused hollandaise, red peppers, and green onions. While the crab cake was a bit on the salty side, the dish was pretty good overall. I also tried the Mardi Gras omelette, which was stuffed with crawfish and shrimp and came in generous portions. The omelette was tasty and satisfying. Overall, I would definitely consider returning to this restaurant to try out other menu items. The food was good, the service was excellent, and the ambiance was delightful. It was a wonderful dining experience that I would highly recommend to other foodies out there. read more

If you're looking for a comforting post-church brunch, Another Broken Egg Cafe hits the mark. The cozy atmosphere makes it an easy choice. We started with the Beignet Biscuits, which were sweet and savory. A soft and flaky interior with a crunchy exterior, the biscuits had a nice balance of sweetness and saltiness, especially when adding the orange marmalade. A treat for anyone with a sweet tooth! The English muffins were good and buttery, though they could've used a bit more toasting. The apple sausage was smoky and sweet, a perfect pairing with the dish. The potatoes were tasty but could've been a little crispier. The Supreme Scrambler was rich and decadent, with mushrooms adding a savory depth to the hearty mix of meats. It's a heavier dish that'll keep you satisfied. Overall, Another Broken Egg Cafe is a great spot for a relaxed, satisfying brunch, whether you're craving something sweet or savory. read more

Sitting here, first time eating here. The selection is large, the food looks great. Wait times are long, but we got on the wait list and did most of our waiting at home. Cheyenne is our waitress today. She is very sweet, super nice, and knowledgeable of the menu. I ordered the Lemon Custard Stuffed French Toast, but didn't want the eggs/sausage that comes with it. She said since it's seasonal they can't just send the French Toast. Kinda frustrating, but it's not her fault. My husband and I wound up sharing an entree. The atmosphere is ok - it's a small building with a TON of people packed inside. If you're looking for a quiet place to eat, this is not it. Prices are a little high, but quality is great. I love how spacious the restaurant is compared to other locations I've been to. The bathroom was clean as well. Pineapple express- This drink was tasty. I would definitely get it again. I was able to taste hints of everything without the pineapple taste being masked. Chimichuri steak and eggs hash- The star of the show and the twinkle in my eye. The steak was cooked perfectly . The dish was seasoned well. The potatoes melted into my mouth. All the ingredients went together perfectly! Strawberry tres leches french toast - I was eating bite after bite with bliss. Every bite was good. Suddenly I looked down and saw an object that in my French toast. It was a top from the whipped cream (I'm assuming) . It was definitely a plastic top. I did let the waitress know. My dish was remade. The manager made it right and I didn't have to pay for it.!! Overall my experience here was good and my food was good. Even with the mishap, it was no argument. It was a simple apology and correction (love it) I'll be back

A friendly hostess greeted us as we arrived inside to order. The Ukrainian decorations were incredibly interesting to view. As an additional plus, the had a large jug of infused water with slices of grapefruit and lemon. Very refreshing! Our group sat outside to chat and play Loteria, a Mexican bingo-like game.

But honestly, I could have eaten this alone without the biscuits and garnishes. But no, we don't want to do that because all the ingredients together make it one of a kind. So I most definitely want the extras! The veg chicken had the perfect meaty taste and texture. To top it off, it was very crispy on the outside. It's a big breakfast sandwich with so much flavor. You'll need a big bite for this one. The biscuits are also a standalone; they have the right amount of flavor, softness, and flakiness. I like that it's not the perfect round biscuit. It's more of a square with soft edges. Also, this is a sit-outdoors place with a lot of shade. It's pretty out there, and it's in the perfect neighborhood. I enjoyed watching the comings and goings up and down Koening Street. I want to add that you don't need to worry about parking; it's easy. People are always coming and going, so you'll definitely have a space.

To top it off, the couple (at least I think) that run this place are so friendly. You can tell, they have been doing this for some time and love what they do. This is not your typical restaurant. They are a cafe within a office building complex that clearly focuses on the buildings within. They service breakfast and lunch every day at prices you can't find anywhere else. They also have a daily lunch special offering. Servings are large and made fresh to order. Personally, the breakfast tacos have been my go to lately, but the french fries were wonderfully crispy on my last order and would be reason enough to come back.
