Let me start off by saying, I Definitely would've given them 5 stars but we waited over 2 hours when we were told 45 minutes... Anyways, I can't say the wait was worth it but the food was definitely delicious! Our waitress was amazing though! She was so prompt & kind. We'd definitely come back and try it out again maybe on an off day where the wait isn't over 2 hrs. read more

I really loved the music here, r&b, soul & the hits! It really set the vibe for me! We had a pitcher of blueberry mimosas they were delicious and have a great variety of mimosas & drink choices! I had huevos rancheros with potatoes and pancakes. I didn't like any of the food the pancakes were deliciously crispy on the outside but weren't fully cooked on the inside, very thick, chewy, and cakey. The huevos rancheros were bland not seasoned at all not spicy or spiced in any since. The tortilla chips were odd tasting and very greasy. There were a lot of beans and they were hard. My date had lobster & brie omelette and biscuit beignets and loved all of her food. Our waiter was rude, not writing down our order and forgetting our food, interrupting our conversation, taking very long to come to our table or check in. I heard a lot of great things about this place and really wanted to love it. I will try once more but my expectations are lower. read more

Such a cute little brunch spot. Used the Yelp Waitlist ahead of time and the table was ready when I walked in! The waitress was very nice and gave us plenty of time to decide. Reallly good food, definitely use the Yelp! Join waitlist first as this is a popular place! Food was delicious and my hubby said the Tito's bloody Mary was really good. I got the strawberry short cake French toast it was phenomenal but don't pour the syrup all over it pour as you eat because it is so soft on its own the syrup makes it softer. The waffles are so fluffy and perfect. We sat at the bar since it was just two of us and even though the bartenders were busy they were still super attentive. read more

Sunday morning breakfast. Ordered smoked salmon on a toasted bagel (aprox $15). Bagel was very small and not toasted, way too much cream cheese, very little lox, red onions were finely chopped and mixed in with the capers so no getting away from onions! 4 for breakfast with tip was approx $90 and honestly, it's not worth the price. Place was clean. Service was mostly good (she kept forgetting things). Do not recommend. There must be better places for breakfast in Austin. read more

Their food is always pretty good. The wait staff teeters between giving you a glare for bothering them and being the most pleasant folk. Depends, I guess. It's really hit or miss. Rating went down even further because of their wait list. Before, it used to be on Yelp, so you can see exactly where you were in line, you can share it, you can come back to it, etc. Now, you have to go through Google, and all you get is a text message saying that you're in the list and if you don't check in you'll be removed. You have no idea how much time you have, you can't share it, you can't go back to it, you don't know where you are on the list. Nothing. I was told 30 minutes. It took me 25 to get to the restaurant and checked in. I was told another 30 minutes. Cool. Not sure if it's worth the faff anymore. =/ read more

Wow! Amazing breakfast and lunch only spot. They have some outdoor tables that are dog friendly, and a large spacious interior. Unfortunately, they don't take reservations as they are always packed! Expect an hour wait most days. They will text you when your table is ready. They have a allergen and gluten free separate menu. I had an egg scramble, but they do have pancakes that I will need to try next time! They have delicious coffee and tasty breakfast cocktails. The egg scramble was spot on. Their bacon is crispy and thick, just like I prefer. Will definitely be coming back here. read more

Highly rated breakfast spot fairly near my hotel. First impression was very good - roomy, stylish and clean and a friendly greeting. The menu was varied and a lot of choices. I finally settled on the Southwest Scramble but substituting bacon for the chorizo. I know a True Texan loves chorizo but they also die young of cardiovascular disease. I know bacon isn't a healthy substitute. I embrace my hypocrisy. I ordered quickly and the food was out before I finished my first cup. It was outstanding. Absolutely stuffed full of meat, cheese, grilled chilis and onions. Salsa, sour cream and tortillas on the side. Delicious! The best thing about my breakfast was my wonderful server. Cheyenne was friendly, engaging and genuinely a happy person. No mask could hide her beautiful smile. She was sporting Crocs as was I. Clearly a woman of taste and style. I love an old school diner but now I'm a big fan of Another Broken Egg! read more

If you are in the Northwest Hills area in the morning timeframe, please, please go visit: Another Broken Egg Cafe: https://anotherbrokenegg.com/location/austin-tx Here's why: this morning as I was heading to search for a lost dog, I knew I needed some "fragrant, enticing" food to coax the lost boy if we found him. I ran in to this restaurant, talked to (I believe) the manager, and asked him if I could buy any bacon or sausage and explained what was going on. Without blinking, he headed to the kitchen and brought me a to-go container full of bacon and sausage, at no charge...we found the puppers and I want to say it was because he could smell the bacon goodness! -- at Another Broken Egg Cafe (Austin, TX). read more

Our party of 4 stopped in for brunch around 10am on a Saturday and it was a great experience. We did the live waitlist on Yelp, highly recommended this feature anytime you can, and we were seated around our preferred time we asked for. It is a busy establishment but it doesn't feel overly loud or crowded. They have their own coffee mugs that you can actually purchase and they have plenty of cocktails for a morning brunch if that's your thing. I did try a salted caramel cold brew cocktail and it was very delicious. It was our first time there and they brought us biscuit beignets for the table to try. It was an interesting concept of a fried biscuit and beignet. Not bad but not my favorite thing. The jam that it is served with is a citrus honey concoction and quite tasty and really sweet. Two of us went the Benedict route w A salmon order and a crab cake one, those were great, too much for us to eat in one sitting but it reheated just fine when I got it home and wanted to finish it later. The other two went with the more traditional breakfast route w biscuits and gravy and a seasonal country power bowl...they both enjoyed it except the gravy was a little off to them, it's a little too thick for their personal preference and taste but overall fine. The decadent side of the menu was the pancakes and French toast and those were the favs of the table. Carrot cake pancakes might be my new favorite thing and the strawberry pound cake French toast was sweet but had the buttery crunch of French toast. One last thing is the fresh country potatoes and they give you options of w bacon, w cheese, both, gravy. You think it's easy serve these types of potatoes but it's not and the fact they are perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and you get topping options....I'd get a bucket of those any day for comfort, joy, and overall taste. They were a great addition as a side. This place has a great ambience, rustic country decor and the tables, booths and bar all feel nestled in like a country barn turned modern chic. Highly recommend, even on a busy Saturday service was friendly, impeccable and great! read more

Great food!' one of the best in Austin! The dishes are flavorful! A good twist with New Orleans style! We tried city grits and Mardi Gras omelet! Both excellent. They give complementary Beignet for the first time customers! They were delicious but they did send me to a sugar high for a couple of hours. :) The owner came by the desk check on the food! I like the food here, however, somewhat overpriced. I like how clean it is but a bit noisy. I came her to do work on my laptop. I sat at the bar and ordered three different drinks. I told the server I planned to work for a while and then get food. The place got busy at lunch, but the bar remained half empty so I felt no urgency to leave. Being a former waitress, I know you don't want a "sitter", but the bar was not full and I always tip significantly extra when I wait to eat and work. The server was clearly annoyed with me. After I finished, I sat for over 15 minutes waiting for my check while he clearly was intentionally ignoring me. I guess that was my "punishment". I was packed up with my credit card on the bar. He never even brought a check. I finally had to shove my credit card at him and close me out. That took an additional few minutes. Won't be back. I work at First Watch a lot and they have never treated me poorly especially because I overtip . Will stick to working from there. read more

This is the first time Yelp has ever let me down. Around 4.5/5 stars, how?! For that reason, I feel obligated to write a review. Our brunch was absolutely the worst food I've had in the past 10 years and absolutely the worst food we've had since we've lived in Austin. First, the drink selection is pretty much nonexistent and they were out of anything liqueur-wise so we were stuck with only mimosa. So we ordered a mimosa, it was actually good so not the biggest deal. The menu and whole restaurant are very premeditated, chain diner-like, but this is not about the decor and menu selection. So, we ordered the crabcake benedict and the french toast. To keep this somewhat short both meals had zero taste, literally no taste! The crab was 100% old and frozen the sauce had as much seasoning as water and then the french toast didn't even have cinnamon, butter, maple, sugar, etc. taste to it. How?! Also, the potatoes were somehow undercooked and burnt on the outside. All-in-all with the massive amount of selection in Austin we'll never come back here to eat, free or not. The manager was really nice but somehow surprised when I told him the food was awful and we didn't eat 90% of it, he thought we were joking. Once he realized we were not joking he comped the food and we gave the difference to the waiter. They need to train the chefs! I know the frozen old crab may be out of their control but salt, old bay, cinnamon, sugar, etc. are 100% not. read more

I would sign up through yelp then call ahead and let them know it is 12 not 8

The customer service was great, both of the girls were really sweet and very inviting to everyone that walked through the doors, but the coffee itself did not quite meet my expectation. And being that I felt super sleepy right away. Let me know that it really didn't have too much coffee in it. I was driving back home to San Antonio and had to pull over and get coffee from somewhere else. I would say that it would be good for an afternoon coffee, where you don't necessarily need the caffeine but as my morning coffee, this did not quite meet the need. Next time I'm in Austin I might try one of their other beverage options and some of their food options because everything looked really good and it looked like they had some regulars that walked in that morning so they are definitely doing something right.

**Extremely Disappointing Visit**…read more My visit today was extremely disappointing. I was promptly greeted and seated, and unfortunately, that is where the good customer service ended. After being seated, I was not acknowledged by anyone. I was not offered a "good morning," water, coffee, or even asked if I needed anything. I sat at my table for approximately 15 minutes before I finally got up and asked to speak with a manager. What made the situation even more frustrating was watching customers who arrived **10-15 minutes after me** get acknowledged, served water, and offered coffee while I continued to sit there without any attention. The staff repeatedly walked past my table on their way to the kitchen. I noticed several of them look directly toward my table, yet no one stopped to acknowledge me or provide service. At that point, it was very difficult not to feel as though I was being intentionally overlooked. When I spoke with the manager, she explained that there were internal issues between the waitstaff that were contributing to the problem in my section. I understand that restaurants can have internal staffing challenges, but those issues should never become the customer's problem. Whatever was happening behind the scenes, I was the customer sitting there without service. I also want to be honest about something that made this experience particularly uncomfortable. I was the only person of my race that I noticed in the restaurant. I cannot say with certainty that race had anything to do with how I was treated, and I don't want to make an accusation without evidence. However, **I can say how the experience made me feel**. I felt ignored, overlooked, and singled out. Customer Service Index (CSI), customer satisfaction, and reviews are extremely important to businesses and their corporate offices. Experiences like this are exactly how a restaurant loses a customer who otherwise may have returned and recommended the establishment to others. I don't expect special treatment. I expect the same basic courtesy and level of service that every customer deserves: a greeting, acknowledgment, water, coffee, and reasonable attention after being seated. Unfortunately, that did not happen today, and it completely ruined what should have been an enjoyable breakfast experience. I hope management and the corporate office take this seriously--not simply as one unhappy customer's complaint, but as an opportunity to examine what happened, why it happened, and how situations like this can be prevented in the future.

From the moment I walked in, the ambience set the tone for what would be an unforgettable dining experience -- warm, welcoming, and just the right touch of cozy sophistication that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. The space felt like autumn wrapped in elegance. Let's talk service -- top-tier. Attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable without pretense. Every recommendation felt personal, and each dish was delivered with care and perfect timing. Now, the food. Wow. The shrimp and grits? Next level. Creamy, perfectly seasoned, and rich with flavor -- easily one of the best renditions I've ever had. The corned beef and Brussels hash was equally outstanding -- a genius combination of textures and flavors that had me savoring every bite. But the showstopper? The pumpkin crumb cheesecake waffle. Just saying it doesn't do it justice. It was decadent, beautifully spiced, and paired perfectly with their pumpkin old-fashioned -- a cocktail so well-balanced and autumnal, it deserves a standing ovation of its own. The Fall Harvest Menu is a masterpiece, and every bite felt like a celebration of the season. If you're looking for a place that delivers on atmosphere, flavor, and impeccable service -- this is it. read more

I arrived on a Saturday morning at 8 AM, and the wait was not too bad. The restaurant's website has a waiting list, which helped ease the waiting process. Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by a lively and casual atmosphere that was both inviting and welcoming. The interior had a lovely country, rustic feel that added to the overall ambiance. The service was impeccable, and the staff exuded Southern charm. They were attentive, friendly, and made my dining experience all the more enjoyable. For my meal, I ordered the Crab Cake Benedict, which consisted of jumbo lump crab cakes on an English muffin, topped with poached eggs, andouille-infused hollandaise, red peppers, and green onions. While the crab cake was a bit on the salty side, the dish was pretty good overall. I also tried the Mardi Gras omelette, which was stuffed with crawfish and shrimp and came in generous portions. The omelette was tasty and satisfying. Overall, I would definitely consider returning to this restaurant to try out other menu items. The food was good, the service was excellent, and the ambiance was delightful. It was a wonderful dining experience that I would highly recommend to other foodies out there. read more

If you're looking for a comforting post-church brunch, Another Broken Egg Cafe hits the mark. The cozy atmosphere makes it an easy choice. We started with the Beignet Biscuits, which were sweet and savory. A soft and flaky interior with a crunchy exterior, the biscuits had a nice balance of sweetness and saltiness, especially when adding the orange marmalade. A treat for anyone with a sweet tooth! The English muffins were good and buttery, though they could've used a bit more toasting. The apple sausage was smoky and sweet, a perfect pairing with the dish. The potatoes were tasty but could've been a little crispier. The Supreme Scrambler was rich and decadent, with mushrooms adding a savory depth to the hearty mix of meats. It's a heavier dish that'll keep you satisfied. Overall, Another Broken Egg Cafe is a great spot for a relaxed, satisfying brunch, whether you're craving something sweet or savory. read more

Sitting here, first time eating here. The selection is large, the food looks great. Wait times are long, but we got on the wait list and did most of our waiting at home. Cheyenne is our waitress today. She is very sweet, super nice, and knowledgeable of the menu. I ordered the Lemon Custard Stuffed French Toast, but didn't want the eggs/sausage that comes with it. She said since it's seasonal they can't just send the French Toast. Kinda frustrating, but it's not her fault. My husband and I wound up sharing an entree. The atmosphere is ok - it's a small building with a TON of people packed inside. If you're looking for a quiet place to eat, this is not it. Prices are a little high, but quality is great. Another Broken Egg is a fantastic spot for a Sunday brunch with your little one! Arriving around 10 AM, we were swiftly seated, only waiting about 10 minutes despite the growing crowd. I ordered the chimichuri steak and eggs hash, strawberry tes leches french toast, and the pineapple express. I got my food sooner than I expected. I love how spacious the restaurant is compared to other locations I've been to. The bathroom was clean as well. Pineapple express- This drink was tasty. I would definitely get it again. I was able to taste hints of everything without the pineapple taste being masked. Chimichuri steak and eggs hash- The star of the show and the twinkle in my eye. The steak was cooked perfectly . The dish was seasoned well. The potatoes melted into my mouth. All the ingredients went together perfectly! Strawberry tres leches french toast - I was eating bite after bite with bliss. Every bite was good. Suddenly I looked down and saw an object that in my French toast. It was a top from the whipped cream (I'm assuming) . It was definitely a plastic top. I did let the waitress know. My dish was remade. The manager made it right and I didn't have to pay for it.!! Overall my experience here was good and my food was good. Even with the mishap, it was no argument. It was a simple apology and correction (love it) I'll be back

As an additional plus, the had a large jug of infused water with slices of grapefruit and lemon. Very refreshing! Our group sat outside to chat and play Loteria, a Mexican bingo-like game.

But honestly, I could have eaten this alone without the biscuits and garnishes. But no, we don't want to do that because all the ingredients together make it one of a kind. So I most definitely want the extras! The veg chicken had the perfect meaty taste and texture. To top it off, it was very crispy on the outside. It's a big breakfast sandwich with so much flavor. You'll need a big bite for this one. The biscuits are also a standalone; they have the right amount of flavor, softness, and flakiness. I like that it's not the perfect round biscuit. It's more of a square with soft edges. Also, this is a sit-outdoors place with a lot of shade. It's pretty out there, and it's in the perfect neighborhood. I enjoyed watching the comings and goings up and down Koening Street. I want to add that you don't need to worry about parking; it's easy. People are always coming and going, so you'll definitely have a space.

To top it off, the couple (at least I think) that run this place are so friendly. You can tell, they have been doing this for some time and love what they do. This is not your typical restaurant. They are a cafe within a office building complex that clearly focuses on the buildings within. They service breakfast and lunch every day at prices you can't find anywhere else. They also have a daily lunch special offering. Servings are large and made fresh to order. Personally, the breakfast tacos have been my go to lately, but the french fries were wonderfully crispy on my last order and would be reason enough to come back.
