Came here for a date night while visiting Denver. A friend highly recommended this spot and it lived up to her words! We sat up at the bar seating and that was equally cozy and perfect for us. Everything we ordered was so good and would do it exactly the same! The mushroom and fried chickpea dish was my favorite! The server did a great job of timing out our orders throughout the dinner. I can't wait to come back when I'm back in Denver!

Update: love this place and have been multiple times now. Staff is consistently great! Came here during happy hour last and food is great as well. Came in for the burger, ordered the pate again (hard not to order), and the pasta dish. Burger was very good, juicy, seasoned well, and did not think the bread would work so well. Pleasant surprise. Pasta dish was really good as well. Loved the sweet and tart flavors. Bottarga added good depth and basil to finish.

Delicious, as always! A nice higher end option in the the Stanley marketplace, with a nice happy hour too! Quality ingredients expertly crafted into delicious fresh cuisine. I hadn't been here in a long time and was glad to see they still have the egg salad toast! I was excited to try some new dishes like the autumn puff pastry and the butter lettuce salad my friend had been raving about. Excellent service and ambience. Such a delight!

A return visit to Annette, where I was lucky enough to listen to and understand, Chef Glover's focus --- Fresh, local ingredients, fire roasted or grilled. Cook things that grow together, like beans, corn and tomatoes. She is a master. The fresh garden salad over a summer tart was a beautiful way to start. The calamari and linguini, divine. The pork chop was a bit underdone imho, but tender, from being marinated for 24 hours. Dessert was stone fruit, fire roasted and then topped with a sherry reduction and a very little amount of sugar. Goal, let the fruit be the star and it was. Everything locally produced. Very good wine list. Service, as always was exceptional. Annette has a cozy feel with the large plants which help dampen the noise from other diners. Overall, a wonderfully prepared. beautifully presented and very satisfyingly delicious meal.

Cute place inside Stanley Markethall. It has a great ambience of a more upscale place if that is what you are looking for.

Absolutely delicious, great food, great service and incredible ambiance. What a fun place hidden away in Aurora. We will definitely be back!

The food, service and ambiance here never fails! We went to Annette's for an impromptu Thurs night date night where we sat at the bar and enjoyed 2 shareable dishes. Everything is delicious. They have a couple new items on the menu this winter which we decided to give it a try: fading ember: it was a bit on the more bitter side at the start of the drink but mellowed out towards the end. the basil and thai bitters was an interesting take, not exactly sure what they were going for. not bad but also not my favorite drink there espresso martini: need I say more? that's physics, baby: easy to drink collins cocktail. nicely balanced tart and fruity. I think I would've enjoyed this more on a hot summer day meanwhile, back at the ranch: this was probably my 2nd favorite, the mezcal made the drink a little smokey, reminds me of their take of a smoked old fashioned. delicious! as for apps, we got the castelfranco radicchio + boquerones and chicken liver pate. we were unsure if that was enough but it was just the right proportions. the radicchio is their take of cesaer salad which was great! for dessert, we got the the paris-brest which is my favorite there! always a great experience there, speedy, attentive service and the food is consistently amazing!

On a rare outing to the Northeast side of Denver, we decided to eat here for happy hour/dinner. First of all, the service is impeccable. Attentive, but not invasive. Thoughtful but not arrogant. Whoever is training these people is doing it right. Secondly, the food is delicious! We opted to share the burger and fries ($20 on happy hour), deviled eggs ($5 for 2 on HH), the broccolini ($17) and house made pasta. Everything was wonderful! The pasta with mushrooms and lemon was just marvelous- well prepared and perfectly cooked and sang of spring. The broccolini was incredible. I thought an english muffin instead of a bun on the burger was strange, but it totally wasn't. It's made in house and is so delicious. I need to learn how to make english muffins for this very purpose! I felt the fries could have used a bit more salt/seasoning. The eggs were great, but I wouldn't get them again. I paired it all with a fantastic tempranillo on happy hour. My little had the pasta off the kids menu, which she loved, but I found a bit too al dente. She ordered the house made lemonade, which she declared tasty, but it was $5 for basically a shot of lemonade (see picture). She had to have at least two glasses- making it the most I've ever spent on a beverage at a meal for my daughter! All in, this is a wonderful addition to the Stanley.

The skinny: Solid food, good ambiance at Stanley marketplace. The overview: Came here for HH/Dinner for 3 and ordered a few things to share. Overall the food was solid and yummy, but for me fell a little short of an amazing 5 stars. - Devil eggs: a nice little snack but nothing too new or crazy flavor wise. - mussels: these were yummy in a simple yet flavorful light white wine sauce. A large amount of fries with house made ketchup and aioli as well. - asparagus: this missed the mark for me a little. The flavors on top were good, but the asparagus itself felt a little lacking. - Orecchiette: this was the favorite. Fresh pasta with a creamy sauce. Highly recommend. - Burger: solid burger ( but the patty itself was quite small). The bread was very good - but the patty to bread ratio seemed off with the large bun but small patty. Overall the sizing was on the smaller tapas side. We definitely could have ordered a bit more food but decided against it just because there is a lot of other options at the marketplace. Would I come back: If I'm in the area it could be a good stop - the pasta! Service and ambiance was good as well.

A definite "MUST VISIT" if you're in the area... everything from their interesting menu, to the beautiful, open-kitchen venue, to their amazing service was excellent! I dined solo as I was in Denver for work and reading online reviews pointed me to Annette. I opted to sit at the bar and the bartender, as well as various other staff did a great job keeping my needs met and my taste buds happy. If you go on a Tuesday, it's happy hour all night, so they have nice deals that are available throughout dinner service. They have a nice menu, filled with something for everyone and all items are shareable... Most are actually available in half portions too, which was great for me as a solo diner. I started with their deviled egg which was excellent and basic. Nothing fancy or crazy, just a very nicely seasoned yolk (filling) which tasted great. Next up was a half order of their Butter Lettuce and Tarragon salad. What an interesting and fun compliment for them to add a sunflower seed brittle to this salad! It offered a nice texture as well as a sweet bite that complimented the tarragon very nicely. This was such a perfectly dressed and plated salad that! Dinner course consisted of their orecchiette and since it featured Calabrian chilis, I asked for extra of those be included in the preparation. The half order looked small, but I couldn't finish it all. Definitely filling and packed with flavor. A slight bitterness from the lemon preserve and a nice heat from the Calabrian chili. Save room for dessert... They have several that looked amazing! My final course was simply a single profiterole and a scoop of their strawberry lime sorbet (separately, of course!). The profiterole featured a bay leaf ice cream inside it and homemade salted caramel on top. I'm not normally appreciative of caramel, but this was so good, I licked the spoon to get it all! The pastry dough was the best profiterole I've ever had! The combo of everything in a single bite was dreamy! Switching to the sorbet - Really Really Good! (But it's sorbet, what more can I say about it?). Highly recommend stopping in here... Make reservations though, they get busy!

Went here as a solo diner while I was in the area for a conference. I didn't make a reservation but the staff was very accommodating. I got a nice seat at the bar where I could see the bartenders making drinks and the action in the open kitchen. Food was good but the experience would have been better for a couple or more - the idea seemed to be to share plates. The server suggested I get a half order of one of my selections which was a good idea. Unfortunately, they were out of several things I would have ordered. I got the deviled eggs, which were great, and the pork tonnato, which was just okay. To be fair, the server warned me that the plate was "a lot of protein." The tuna on that dish was more like tuna salad you make from a canned tuna but I was expecting it to be more like tuna tartar. It was my mistake for not asking for more details.

It's a real nice cozy modern place. It's a great place to try some different things. It's certainly on the pricey side so be prepared. Food was good and the service was fantastic! Food is more of a tapas style for sharing. The liver pate was amazing I could have the whole thing to myself! Extremely silky smooth and the sweet Cherrys on top gave that nice salty sweet balance needed. The red peas dish is the bomb! Def get that! I was not impressed with the beef tongue, felt it needed a tiny bit of salt flakes or something else to level it up. Skate fish was the fish of the day. I have never had a sting ray wing fish before so was a new for me. It's a stringy like texture and it being grilled didn't have much flavor, even with the sauce I was not a huge fan and hence taking a star off Overall a great place to try

    Cod schnitzel
    Hayden S.

From start to finish this meal was excellent! The restaurant has a super cute look and the service was team style and great throughout. We started with deviled eggs and the tarragon salad and even though they were starters and on the lighter side, they were each very good! For entrees we shared the seasonal cod schnitzel and the beef tongue w/ bone marrow toast. The cod schnitzel was super thin, flaky, and crunchy without having too much batter. The slaw and tartar sauce it came with were also very tasty. I'd never had bone marrow or beef tongue before and I was a fan of both! The bone marrow toast was fatty and savory in the best way and the beef tongue was suuuuper tender and reminded me almost of braised short ribs. Dessert was EPIC. The pecan pie had such a nice saltiness to it that created one of the most balanced flavor profiles of a piece of pecan pie I've ever had. I don't even think I can put the Paris-brest into words, but I'm going to try. The pistachio and chocolate ganache were so incredibly light and fluffy, almost whipped in texture and the flavors of each were spot on. The pistachio ganache wasn't too sweet and it honored the nuttiness and saltiness of the nut very well. The chocolate ganache was richer in flavor and balanced with the pistachio per fect ly The ganache between the light, crunchy pastry made for a masterpiece. I think I made a noise or a positive comment with every single bite I took. Well done, Annette.

    Dining Room

If you make a reservation for "enclosed patio" will you find yourself in yet another run-of-the-mill, crowded enclosed patio or are the awesome cozy greenhouses still up?

The enclosed patio is attached to the restaurant. It is small and cute. A few months ago they still had their igloos up. I am sure you can call and confirm.

    Do we need a reservation?

I'd recommend a reservation! Especially on busy nights (e.g. Fri and Sat). You can also call in to check availability

We were seating in the middle of the dining room, which was fine with us. The vibe is def cozy chic, which we found welcoming . SERVICE: I had booked reservations in advance, as Happy Hour here is a major hit. The friendly hostess seated us and our server followed shortly behind her. She was friendly, attentive, provided some good recommendations and was pleasant all around! SIPS: While our friend opted for a glass of wine, my husband stuck with water, while I looked at their mocktail menu. The options are limited, but available for a fun treat. I opted to try the "Little Kiss" which was a mixture of grapefruit, sparkling soda, and cranberry. The flavors were on point for the holiday season and tasted refreshing. I will admit, the glass it came in was a turn off. It was like a normal draft size class, which made me feel like I was about 9 years old. Bummer. Otherwise, there are plenty of options for drinkers alike - beer, wine, cocktails, you name it, they have it! SUSTENANCE: The food!! This spot is known for their rustic Italian and woodfired creations - and the menu is fire. I asked for some bread and oil to start - because that sounded divine. It came out quickly and was a nice intro to the meal. My friend opted for the Pasticcio - aka meatballs, three cheese tortellini, slow braised Bolognese, herby pomodoro, bechamel and parm brulee - which he found to be fantastic! It came with more bread, which was perfect for dipping. My friend got a kick out of the presentation as well - in a cast little iron cauldron! I chose the Seafood Pasta - a special of the night. I'll admit, I was a bit disappointed in my meal - as it was a mixture of squid, shrimp, scallops and other - in a red sauce. Not what I was expecting with seafood, but always down to try new things. The seafood flavor overpowered the dish - which made it hard to finish. I opted not to take it home. My husband noshed on the Brasato - Barolo wine slow braised angus short rip, creamy polenta and gremolata - which was DIVINE. The meat was SO tender, delicious and took on the rich wine flavor, perfect over potatoes! YUM! The pizza stood out to me as well, but considering Cattivella is classy, I opted for other. We had a 5:45 PM reservation but the dining room was already full, so we sat at the bar and were immediately offered menus, water, and house-made chips and homemade salsa (Aaaah-mazing salsa!). Service was friendly and welcoming from our server Hunter to the bartenders and food runners -- everyone was happy to chat. We sampled a couple cocktails (Elderflower Prickly Pear and the Spicy Mezcal). If you like mezcal, the Spicy Mezcal is a perfect balance of heat and bright citrus. The prickly pair is too sweet for my taste buds but love the presentation. For my entrée I tried the Nomada's Best of Plate -- a grilled taco, chicken enchilada (I added green chili), and crispy carnitas (I ate these with a tortilla). All three were excellent and distinct; the chicken enchilada was my favorite and likely what I'll order next time. My wife had the crispy carnitas fajitas -- a generous portion and very easy to eat thanks to a thoughtful presentation. Highly recommend -- just be sure to make a reservation.

Three of us had driven from significant distances. Two were late, due to crazy snow. Our friend had made reservations for the high-top table IN THE BAR AREA. Upon arrival, the hostess DID mention to our organizer that the table was ours until 6. That sounded odd, but certainly they wouldn't expect us to leave if we're still eating and drinking, right? We were having a great time, and being gracious despite a few issues, like my friend getting a strangely colored margarita that tasted bad -- unlike her first, or any of the others in the entire restaurant. She explained and asked for it to be remade. Another girl brings it back again, making her re-explain. She begrudgingly took it back and replaced it. At 5:40, as people started bugging out, our snow-delayed friend arrived and our waitress took her food order, along with another friend's order for a pitcher of beer. They arrived quickly. At 5:50, we got a visit from manager Alex, asking us to wrap things up and leave. We were confused, and asked why this was necessary, since we were in the BAR section, had just been served food and beer, and people were leaving. Alex was not amenable to applying practicality to the situation. My friend who'd just been served her pitcher of beer asked which option she was supposed to exercise...pay for and leave her full pitcher, or slam it and then drive home to Boulder. Alex didn't like that, and reluctantly offered to comp the quesadilla and beer -- like it was some grand gesture. As we gathered our things, more customers left, leaving four seats open around the actual bar. EUREKA! We didn't have to leave! My friend and I sat in two, and two others sat across from us. We knew we'd find one more, and we did. Cool, right? Nope. Alex confronts me and says, I noticed you guys moved to the bar. (I thought I was being punked.) So I reply, "Yes, is there a problem with us taking available seats after having to leave our table?" He says something about us being rude. To which I said, "I'm not being rude. If you're referring to us talking amongst each other about how this situation was handled, we have the right to speak." He then informed us he was cutting us off. I wasn't one of the ones comped, and we weren't drunk. He just didn't like that we pushed back. He left, and seconds later, the drink I'd ordered before this "chat" was placed in front of me. When Alex saw it, he pulled bartender Hunter aside and had words with him. Which made matters worse, because Hunter is so kind, and he knew we were cool. Anyway, I happily sipped my drink, and we started watching the Avs. We weren't obnoxious, but it was loud, and since we were seated across the bar from each other, we needed to shout a bit. Around this time, we noticed the table we'd been forced to vacate was STILL EMPTY -- 20 minutes after being booted from it. The table right next to it? Also empty. A few minutes later, we noticed he'd moved some girls who'd been at the bar since our arrival TO OUR TABLE. Obviously to make it look like the party that wanted it had shown up. So I took a pic of that with my phone. And a video of how many seats and tables were open. Nobody knew what I was doing, or cared, except Alex, who'd been spying on us. He comes back AGAIN, suddenly claiming our "BEHAVIOR" is a problem. Despite us trying to reason with him about what this experience was like for us as customers, he tells us to leave. I have been kicked out of two bars in my life. Once justifiably at age 22, and again on this day, age 60. All because of a manager on a power trip. We ended up going to Mezcal four miles away where the food and the service were exemplary, and we were welcomed! Lady Nomada? Lady, No-thank-you. You can't defend a policy like that, take a food and drink order right before the time limit, take our table and then harass us for not liking it. There are too many cantinas out there to treat people this way.
