    Neighbors Wine Bar- Retirement Party

We had my retirement party on Saturday. Greg and his team created a very warm home environment for all of my guests. The food was great, the staff were amazing especially Kylie. If you need a place to host a party we highly suggest Neighbors!

Stopped here for a quick drink at the bar prior to dinner reservations. Happy Hour is $2 off all drinks M-F from 4-6pm. Neighbors is a fitting name for this charming place. You could tell there were a lot of regulars as the staff called many by name. Even though it was my first time here, we were greeted warmly by both the hostess and bartender. I had an excellent hand-crafted cocktail - the Smokey Old Fashioned. I am a tequila/mezcal lover so I appreciated the use of La Luna mezcal with orange, cherry, simple syrup and an orange twist. Just as when we entered, we were warmly thanked by numerous staff for stopping by.

I met some friends here for just wine, so didn't try the food. It's a cute place. The service was good and so was the wine!

We live down the road from this place and finally checked it out to switch up our happy hour routine. We are glad we did! It was a busy night on the patio but pretty calm inside. The hostess was busy so the chef himself greeted and sat us. It was a cute little place and top notch service. They had lots of good whisky to pick from for our old fashions and the drinks were HUGE. We were hungry too so we decided to munch on some cheese and crackers, they tasted perfect with our drinks. I'm not much of a honey guy, but that was a great little addition.

Cute, quant little wine bar with a TON of options! Food was delicious. It was a great place to unwind after work with coworkers and grab some small plates. Would definitely recommend, and will be back again!

Umm hello! This is such a cute restaurant in such a quaint neighborhood! Super hidden and intimate! Came here for some nice bites and a glass of wine after a stressful day at work. This cute restaurant really put my at ease. It was pretty busy but still had a warm ambiance. I ordered the house wine because it was a dollar off during happy hour and I'm no wine connoisseur so cheaper house wine? Sure! We selected one cheese, 1 meat, and two small bites. It was a nice evening. Perfect place to keep warm during the fall and winter.. like a scene in a movie! Lol.. I will say some of the small bites are a bit pricey for what they are. $8 for 2 small empanadas.. pricey.. I could have gotten a burrito lol.. but that's ok, it was a nice experience!

Quaint neighborhood spot as applied by its name. A friend recommended it as it is central for our group to meet up mid-week. We had an excellent time catching up over drinks and appetizers with attentive service. I enjoyed a red blend wine flight, and we shared the bacon wrapped cheese dates, barbecue cauliflower bites, crackers and dip. Already plan to go back!

They have happy hour Tues from 4-5pm. Almost all of the wines by the glass are half off. No discount for food. The only front employee on Tuesday is Jennie who is the bartender at Spuntino the other days of the week. They have a kitchen person. Very large offerings of wines on a chalkboard. They offer cocktails and a light food menu + Charcuterie. I was first to arrive, but shortly later another 10 persons arrived in various groups. Plenty of seating on 2 floors. I sat at the 2 sided bar. I asked for recommendations. They have a classic French champagne, Domaine Berthold Cremant d'Alsace, normally $18 for $9. Crisp and refreshing. I got the Hummus and Onion Dill dip plate with crackers & veggies with red peppers, heirloom carrots, radishes and apple slices. I paired it with a Chilean Sauvignon Blanc. Lots of minerality but not as sweet from Sauvignon Blanc's from New Zealand. Next was the Brioche Melt with cappiola, Brie and raspberry habanero jam & Spanish potato chips. Jennie recommended the Barahonda Monastrell from Spain. A fuller bodied red wine with a bit of tannin to compliment the sandwich. They do not have a service charge, but do add a credit card fee. Very enjoyable happy hour. Jennie said reservations are not necessary on Fri or Sat. They have occasional wine events and you can create your own wine flights.

I was hoping for a bit more excitement about the wines on the list and ability to provide education/insight from the staff. Asked for someone to tell me more about a wine and told it was "good" which isn't really the detail I'm looking for would be 5 stars for me if it was more like my go-to fave from Houston (shout out Vinology) where staff was clearly so passionate, knowledgeable, and wanted to help everyone fall in love with wine.

Ok no big deal I guess - it didn't look very busy, but these things happen. We were sat and our server took our drink order right away. The cocktails were very good - I tried the Living on a Pear which was very refreshing and the rest of our party had the 1858 which they liked a lot. Once we got our drinks no one came by for 30 minutes and I had to flag someone down to bring us some water. At 30 minutes we asked if chips and guac was an option while the kitchen was "temporarily not serving food" but the server said all the fryers were full with fries so no they can't do that. Ok... so we continued to wait. It was around the 45 minute mark we were able to order so they were true to their word. This is what we ordered: - Pork Belly Bacon Scoops - these were just ok. The fries were nothing to write home about and there wasn't a lot of toppings. The pork belly bits were very small and kind of hard and chewy. The sauce was decent, but just not enough of it. - Li'l Wig - I'm sad to say this was one of the worst burgers I've ever had. I requested medium rare and I don't know what the patty is made out of it, but it resembled more like meatloaf than a burger. It was very dense and had a strong gamey taste, reminded me more of bison or venison. Idk, it was just not very good. I only took a few bites and left the rest. The brioche bun was tasty and so was the W sauce. The fries were really good and had a nice crunch. I wish the appetizer used those fries instead. The service was inconsistent. We were barely checked on until the very end when we had a few different people come by and refill waters / bring the check. We never saw our original server again. It is a nice vibe inside, great lighting and decor with both indoor and outdoor seating, but I don't think I'll be returning. The bill was $133 for 3 drinks, 1 app, and 3 burgers. Felt pretty let down leaving still hungry and over $150 in the hole (after tip). Hoping it was just a fluke and other people have better experiences there.

The entire evening is orchestrated by a single, extraordinary human. He is the greeter, the host, the chef, and the busser, a true one-man culinary circus executed with absolute grace. As for the food? Tasting menus can sometimes leave you eyeing a drive-thru on the way home, but absolutely not here. Every single course on the $90 menu was wonderfully tasty and incredibly generous; nobody is leaving hungry. The English Pea Agnolotti was a bright, beautiful start, and the Shortrib Parmentier was rich, comforting perfection. We also opted for the $50 wine pairings, which were thoughtful, well-paced, and complemented the evolution of the dishes beautifully (the Chablis with the roasted beets was a standout match). If you can somehow manage to snag a final reservation before they say goodbye, do it. It's a beautifully unique dining experience you won't soon forget.

The chef needs to focus on his craft rather than also serving and clearing dishes. When you pay $90/person and get wine pairing or bottle you expect a certain level of service and execution. The food didn't impress either, and they never asked for any restrictions ahead of time to be able to easily accommodate, since the menu is so limited. The first course was a pasta with pea dressing and carrot sauce. It was bland, didn't come together, the pasta was tough, and the carrot sauce was unfinished and not sauce consistency. It just felt immature. The second dish had a lot of acid and didn't shine either. It felt like a compilation of ingredients but not anything I would come back for. The duck was the star, it was crispy, the sides all worked together, it was well executed. He did make us a dessert that didn't have cream in it, which was nice. This was a missed concept and experience for me. There needs to be someone doing front of the house, especially with more people. The food needs to be better thought out and executed for the price.
