We visited Angus T in Yaletown on the Saturday morning after Christmas. The streets outside were quiet, but the shop itself was packed and lively, filled with people chatting and enjoying pastries. The display case was fully stocked with delicious options when we arrived. We ordered a latte, which was excellent and not too bitter, with two croissants: the Almond and the Chocolate Raspberry. Both were fantastic--crispy on the outside and perfectly layered on the inside, with just the right amount of filling. These were easily some of the best croissants I had on this trip. I definitely want to go back and try other flavors next time!
Christmas Season Special Items - Christmas Tree Croissant. Christmas tree croissant with Strawberry jam. The dough was incredibly crispy! So addictive. Compared to other bakeries which used cream very often,, their filling was strawberry jam. It was pretty good! The jam did not ruin the dough's crispiness and sweetness was well balanced. Overall, I really enjoyed this croissant. They offer variety type of croissant which looked so delicious.
To take shelter from the pouring rain, we stepped into Angus T. London Fog: Silky and just the right amount of bittersweet. The warm cup of London Fog was just beautiful to hold in both hands and sip after getting drenched in rain. Pistachio Raspberry Croissant: Loved the fruity raspberry filling blanketed in flaky, buttery crust. The pistachio cream piped on top of the confection was so smooth and nutty that I wished there were more of it. Savoury croissant was decent, but it could've tasted way better if it were warmed up.
loved the flavors of both croissants! the exterior was crispy and the inside was very soft but tastes quite bready (in a good way for me). decently sized but leans on smaller end of the spectrum considering the price. can grab and go with cute boxes or stay and eat, lots of seating available. staff gave me some good recs for picking the flavors.
It still my favorite croissant shop in Vancouver! The outer layer was crispy yet the inside layers were flakey and buttery. - Matcha: the matcha cream filling was delicious! It had the perfect sweetness - Earl grey: the tea flavor was subtle - Lemon curd: the curd had a perfect acidity & sweetness. The meringue on top complemented the whole flavor perfectly. - Double baked almond: still my favorite! The almond pieces on the outside gave an extra crunch to the croissant. The almond paste inside was sweet and delicious!
As always, just as good as I remember. Popped in at 4pm and there were only 3 filled croissant flavors left- blueberry, black sesame and hazelnut chocolate. The black sesame is incredible, not too sweet and the croissant wasn't too flakey (end of day). I'm a big fan and will always continue to be one since everything is always so good.
Delicious Coffee and Croissants! A must visit as lines ate long, i would recommend coming as early as possible to secure the goodies and a seat. It looks like it fits about 15 ish guests. Seating is in the back. Its a warm wooden vibe inside. A good stop for a cafe lover.
I love croissants so had to try Angus. I went on a Saturday afternoon and no line so I was able to get a couple of croissants without waiting long. The croissants were not as large as I had hoped. The pistachio one was delicious but the chocolate raspberry one was not as crispy and maybe a tad too sweet for me. There was a bit of seating for what seemed like a small shop but it's deep and went back a bit. There's a variety of options so it's a good option for something sweet but at $6+ per croissant, probably a bit much for some people.
Walked by seeing these massive croissants with asian flavours and could not resist. While they are still yeasty croissants, the croissants are super fluffy but crispy on the outside, inside the flour was super rich. Probably my favourite yeasty croissants, partially because the butter was top notch. The black sesame croissant was well balanced, not too sweet =). There was alot of black sesame cream as well! Coffee was ite, just get the croissants.
Popped in here for a quick little treat as our first stop in Vancouver! We got the pistachio raspberry croissant to share which was delicious!! Staff were very friendly and the cafe was super cute! We went based on an ad we saw on the train in from the airport and were not disappointed. Would definitely go back!
Came to Angus T in search of breakfast near my hotel. I had seen posts of a variety of sweet croissants but in the morning, they had mainly savory croissants available. I chose the pistachio raspberry cream croissant - light and airy with a raspberry filling the was not too sweet and some delicious pistachio cream. There is seating inside and you can even watch them working in the kitchen. I'll have to come back later in the day to try their earl grey, black sesame and green tea croissant!
I honestly want to gatekeep this place but I think it's gone viral on social media. I saw this place when I was looking up croissants on ig. And I knew I had to try this place. It's small but I love the open kitchen and the many varieties they have. We came here twice once in the early morning and once in the afternoon. We did notice for morning croissants they had more savory options which we love and then in the afternoon they had the full lineup for sweet ones out. The first day we ate there and we had an earl grey croissant and black sesame. Let me tell you, this was a life changing croissant. I love arsicault in sf and I live near it and I go whenever I have the chance, this place rivals it and might even be better. These croissants are crisp, airy and buttery. Even with filling inside it tastes so buttery and airy. The early grey cream was not too sweet but packed a punch with the tea flavor. Black sesame flavor was strong and also not too sweet. These croissants were literal perfection. We loved it so much we came back the next day to grab a few more before we left Vancouver and it was still just as good. The next time we come back to Vancouver, we are coming back for more! We also tried another croissant place down the block and we didn't like as much as angus t. Their matcha lattes and coffee are also pretty good, loved it! Total for 2:$24
Every single time I come to Angus T the Croissants are always consistently delicious!! Staff is always friendly and the inside is a bit small but the ambiance is very cozy and welcoming still! I love all their croissants but my favourite is the earls grey, pistachio and dark chocolate raspberry! read more
Definitely one of the top croissant and pastries I've had. Very subtle flavours but they work well. We got the dark chocolate raspberry croissant and the lemon curd. I loved the lemon curd pastry. Light and flaky. There's not a ton of seats to sit and it does get busy. But well worth a visit if you're around Yaletown read more

Came here in the morning, and parking is easy to get as they have a lot infront of the store. The smell of fresh pastries are always something I love. Just as the smell, the Croissant was so chewy and soft! Loved it especially the Pistachio was my favorite the Earl Grey and other fillings were tasteful and sweet. Definitely a must go place when in Vancouver! The service was efficient with the amount of workers they have and you could see them constantly bringing out the new croissants and see how they make it on the side window as well! read more

Angus T makes some pretty amazing quality croissants that rival, if not beat, the ones I've had in France. What sets this place apart is the assortment of unique Asian-inspired flavors, in addition to the more traditional butter and chocolate offerings. While I enjoyed all the different fillings, I liked the matcha one the most as the subtle bitterness contrasts the sweet richness of the croissant. Just wish the texture (crumb) of the pastry itself was lighter and had more of a pronounced buttery flavor that is characteristic of a viennoiserie. Also not sure why the pistachio croissant had a raspberry(?) jam filling in it as the flavors don't complement, in my opinion. Side note: they sell out of most flavors by 1pm, so I suggest going before noon for the best selection. read more
Anyone who knows me knows that I'm obsessed with a good croissant. And in my opinion, Angus T has got the best croissants in the city, HANDS DOWN. Incredibly large in size, flakey, buttery and soft - all the qualities needed for the best croissant and Angus T checks them all off. I was really craving Angus T's croissants while being away from Vancouver and as soon as I came back I made an IMMEDIATE trip back here to satisfy my croissant cravings. Every time I come here I always try to grab flavours that I haven't yet tried. It's very hard not to end up with a bunch because I'm always so tempted to order a large box with a variety of flavours haha. I always have to convince myself to NOT grab a box of 4 or 6 lol. CHOCOLATE RASPBERRY This was my favourite one out of the 2 - I recommend eating this right away because the filling inside may cause the croissant to grow soggy over time. Mine was perfectly flakey still. The filling included both chocolate and raspberry. Such a classic combo! Defs recommend. BLACK SESAME This one had so much black sesame filling. It wasn't my favourite and I can't quite put my finger on why. I think I was expecting the black sesame to be sweeter? And maybe that was where the disappointment came from. PISTACHIO CROISSANT Look at beautiful and cute this croissant is. It was extremely buttery, soft and flakey in all the right ways possible. The filling inside actually had both pistachio and raspberry filling and it was so delicious. I actually appreciated that there wasn't too much filling because I love being able to taste the actual croissant. The pistachio and raspberry flavours worked so well together and I was honestly so impressed by the quality that I gobbled the entire thing within seconds. read more
I've been meaning to come to Angus T for a while to try their croissants. On the advice of a friend, they recommended to come early as the popular croissants can sell out. We were disappointed that on the day we came, they weren't making their black sesame or matcha croissant so ended up getting the pistachio, ham and gruyere, double baked almond, earl grey, blueberry pistachios instead and also an apricot Danish. My favourite was definitely the pistachio followed by the fruit Danish. Highly recommended for croissants in Vancouver - hopefully they'll have the matcha and black sesame next time we come visit! read more

Got some croissants from Angus T as a gift and loved them! I didn't eat them until night time well after dinner and they were still flaky and crisp at all the right places (despite being left in my car for hours in -7C temperature) All 3 flavours were rich (strong tea/berry custard cream in the centre) and not too sweet which was perfect for me. I'm excited to try other flavours and will definitely be back. read more

Tasty assortment of pastries in a little hole in the wall. Almond croissant was my favorite and the cinnamon roll comes with a side of frosting. Wish the cinnamon rolls came warmed up but the pastries were still delicious! read more
One of the top croissant spots in Vancouver for sure - it's a bit of a different style from your typical croissant but I like the balance of flakiness and buttery softness. Tried the earl grey and pistachio raspberry - both were great flavors! Warning that the croissants are filled with cream, which I don't always love, but fortunately their cream isn't too heavy. read more

Great place to grab yummy croissants in Yaletown Vancouver in the morning! Their almond croissants and pistachio croissants (filled with pistachio paste) are super popular and super tasty -- have to give them a try. However, they are kind of pricey (~$6 each), but on the bright side they offer 10% if you buy 6! read more
I went at 2:30pm and they didn't have many flavours left. I got the last blueberry croissant and a Gianduja mocha croissant. Both croissants tasted fresh, light and super flaky! There is a noticeable crunch when you bite into them! The blueberry one had a sweet jam filling and was topped with blueberry buttercream. The mocha one had a lot less filling though so I couldn't really taste the mocha flavour that well. I'll have to come back earlier to try other flavours! read more
I made it my goal to go and try out Angus T after seeing a bunch of photos on IG. Down in Yaletown we spotted the croissant sign and headed in. Unfortunately, we ended up there at 5:30PM and they close at 6PM. Fortunately, their baked goods were by 2 get one free! I think it happens an hour before they close. So bonus for me! But It was pretty slim pickings. but I dd manage to get my hands on a Double Baked Almond Croissant, a Gianduja Mocha Croissant and a Cinnamon Bun with a side of cream cheese icing. If you eat the baked goods there, they can heat it up for you. We ended getting the Cinnamon Bun heated up. It was soft and gooey. Perfect for a snack or dessert. Not overly sweet which was fantastic. My only meh comment is that the cream cheese icing wasn't very cream cheesy. I tasted like regular icing sugar icing and less cheesy. The croissants were a delicious! Flaky and filled in all the right places! Yes, I know that you can get a dozen croissants at Costco for the same price as 1 croissant at Angus T. But they definitely aren't on the same croissant scale. Want a true artisan croissant then go give Angus T try. Go enjoy the finer things out there once in a while. Also I love the open kitchen concept. You can see the sheeter, the over and proofer. You can see that everything is pretty much made in house. And the amount of time and effort that it takes can be seen and tasted in the final products. read more

When you come here, you have to try their croissants. So good. Its pricy but that's a given for a Yaletown Cafe. All of their pastries look heavenly. So much selection to choose from. I have a hard time choosing! But honestly how do you choose (see pictures) Lattes are delicious as well. read more

Light and flaky croissants, lots of flavor to choose from. Love that the filling is also not too heavy. Some flavors tend to sell out quick so make sure to go early on weekends. read more
I wanted to try a variety of their croissants but they only had a few choices left, so if you're looking for options... come early in the day! I settled for the pistachio, early grey, fruit, and mocha. All their croissants are pleasing to the eye, and their flavors are prominent but it lacked the flakiness I was looking for. It has a golden crispy shell but when I bit in, it didn't have the same crunch in the other layers and it was more dense. Their croissants are pricier than other cafes I've been too, but you are paying for the TLC they put into it. I'd say, if you're looking for a clean cafe with unique flavors and eye candy croissants give this place a try. read more
Definitely missed the croissant when i had the chance to try. Sadge. The latte was pretty good. The place was pretty packed and wasnt cleaned when there were new customers coming in. It would be a good practice to ask for a help to be cleaned before sitting down. Anyway, this is a place that i would recommend to come for its croissant. Coming back soon for the croissant! Cheers! read more

Had to wait 30 mins for the croissants because they were sold out of a bunch of them already :( anyways, I got the ham and cheese (5/5) I liked how it was very cheesy and savory. The earl grey croissant was on the sweeter side but you can definitely taste the earl grey flavor (5/5). The pistachio raspberry croissant was good, I couldn't really distinguish the pistachio flavor though because the raspberry filling overwhelmed it (4/5). The lemon curd was tart and a good break from the sweetness of the croissants. i liked this place overall for the variety they had! read more
Blueberry croissants are a MUST ! finally got a chance to visit the famous Angus T Bakery in Yaletown and I'm so sad it's taken me so long to visit ! I'm a big blueberry gal and the fact that they have a whole croissant dedicated to one of my favourite fruits makes me so happy ! The bakery has a wide assortment of pastries and the flavours are endless. I regret only buying 3 flavours... I need to come back for more! Blueberry Croissant - filled with blueberry jam and topped with blueberry buttercream and fresh blueberries. I'm definitely biased because I love blueberry anything but this was my favourite croissant of the three! Love how the blueberry jam made the inside moist, while the outer layers were super flaky. Matcha Croissant - filled with matcha cream and dipped in white chocolate with a sprinkle of matcha. This was my mom's favourite! She loved how the croissant had a perfect amount of sweetness and how light the croissant was. Dark Chocolate Raspberry - dipped in dark chocolate and filling with chocolate and raspberry cream. I love the aesthetics of this croissant, it reminds me of black and white cookies! Pricing - the croissants range from $5-6 for one pastry, but this is understandable as the quality is worth it and the place is in Yaletown. Highly recommend coming here for the croissants because they are phenomenal and what Angus is known for.Definitely my favourite bakery at the moment ! read more

This is currently my favourite coffeeshop and bakery in Vancouver. Their filled croissants are absolutely amazing, the best I've had anywhere. Their coffee is also really great! Location is right in the heart of yaletown, ambiance inside is average - could be better - but croissants and coffee make up for it. Also really great for taking baked goods to go. read more

Angus T was such a pleasant surprise! The selection of pastries were so stunning. I decided to try out the cinnamon bun and I'd say it was just ok. I've definitely had better (like grounds for coffee is def a fav) They reason why it's a 4 star is because you can watch the bakers making delicious pastries and it was so mesmerizing. Overall I'd definitely come back to try something new! read more
I was a little skeptical of trying this place because of thee mixed reviews online, but this place is pretty good. My parents loved this place more than I did, but that might be because I have crazy high standards. Technically a 3.5, but I'm giving it 3 because prices are definitely on the high side, considering that the size of the croissants were quite small. I was kind of surprised by how small they were when I first walked in, but hey, at least they looked good. I probably won't be back, but my parents might. Kouign amann (4/5) This was my first time trying one of these and I quite enjoyed it. It was pretty flakey, but somehow still a bit dense? I wish it was a bit lighter/airier and crispier, but it was good and had a nice caramel flavour. Matcha croissant (4/5) This was my favourite out of all of the croissants. They are very generous with their matcha custard cream, as the croissant was absolutely filled ! Although a little on the sweet side and could use a little more richness in terms of the matcha flavour, it was a really good croissant. Earl grey croissant (3/5) Like the matcha one, this one was also filled to the brim with earl grey custard. Again, it is a little on the sweeter side, but the flavour was pretty good. The reason why I'm giving it a 3 is because I'm not the biggest fan of earl grey. Double baked almond chocolate croissant (4/5) I love chocolate, almonds, and double baked croissants ! This one was pretty well done, and the chocolate they use is really high quality (according to their response to a negative Google review that I read comparing their croissants to Costco's croissants lol). My only complaint is that I wish they had more chocolate filling in the croissant, because it tastes like a high quality chocolate stick and I need more of that goodness. Mocha croissant (3.5/5) Not bad, but a little lacking on the filling inside. The filling itself was pretty good, and tasted like a milder, less sweet version of Nutella. I also thought the cream on top lacked flavour and I'd much rather have a chocolate shell or something instead (like the matcha one). Pistachio croissant (2/5) Bought it because I wanted to try a pistachio croissant, but was unpleasantly surprised by the raspberry jam filling. I am not a jam person ! It would have been nice if they included raspberries in the description for all those who don't like jam. PSA: Come here after 5pm (they close at 6) and they have a buy 2 get one free deal ! Their croissants are pretty pricey and a little on the small size, so this is a good deal. read more

They have a large variety of croissants. I had the earl grey and the mocha cream. Both so delicious. They were slightly crispy on top but soft inside and the earl grey cream was phenomenal. I wanted to immediately buy another one! They also have great cinnamon buns and a few other savoury pastries. I know they do coffee (lattes, teas etc) but I haven't had one from there yet. It's a cute little bakery in yaletown and I recommend going ! read more

Located in Yaletown, this small location offers fresh daily in-house made croissants and coffees and teas to go or dine in. Ordered the pistachio and raspberry filled croissant along with a caramel macchiato. The croissant was light and the mixture of pistachio and raspberry gave it a good combination of sweet and tartness. The table I sat down wasn't entirely clean from a previous diner otherwise I would have given 5 stars. read more

Great place to buy specialty croissants and cinnamon buns. They always have a feature flavor and the custard like fillings are not too sweet and the pastry is nice and flaky. I would highly recommend the blueberry, green tea and black sesame croissant. You need to go earlier to purchase as they sell out towards the end of the day. It is a lovely treat. Check it out if you are ever in Yaletown area. read more
I went to this shop cause I saw its ad in DailyHive : Decor was casual nice and minimalist. The menu was a bit pricey but offered a lot of sweet and salty options : we got two croissants : one pistachio and the other one was cheese n chicken. Both were incredible as the dough is light and refined to perfection ; the only detail I didnt appreciate is that the pistachio croissant had some fruit ( rasberry I ithink) inside it and that wasnt mentioned in the menu. The best part was the open view kitchen that was separated only by a glass to the interior of the shop ; so you could drink your coffee and enjoy watching the delicate way they use to make their pastries in the same time. Hopefully next time I will find the Tuna Corn croissant so I would be able to try it since I am huge fan of Tuna read more

Tuna and Corn Croissant and American _ I think this might be my new favorite café! @angust_vancouver is super adorable on the outside and inside - nothing like an esthetically pleasing cafe Amongst the sea of coffee shops in Vancouver I love their simple brick walls, open window kitchen and lighting! _ I'm usually not too crazy about pastries but croissants are usually my top pick and also it's super fun to say While it's kind of pricey for a croissant, I think it's totally worth it. It's on the larger side, not too flakey where half of my croissant crumbles into nothing, perfect butteryness, and proportionate filling on the inside The Tuna and Corn reminded me of the Chinese bakery bun version but 50x better. Tuna and corn to croissant bite ratio is 1:1. I'm definitely coming back for others because the sweet and savory all look delicious! read more
