The cortado ($4.75) was alright, though I found their beans a bit too dark for my taste. We also got a pistachio matcha cake ($6.5) for sharing. It was good, moist and not too sweet yet clearly showcasing both matcha and pistachio. Something that bothers me is their lack of consistency. Our table ordered the same item, yet all three looked very different -- my eggs were more cooked while my friend's were yolkier, her bread looked untoasted, and even the mortadella came out with varying degrees of doneness. It makes me wonder if the taste will vary depending on the cook, or when you visit. The indoor seatings were quite loud and always filled with people queuing and waiting for their drinks so I'd recommend getting seats outside if weather permits.

It was such a familiar taste, and I hadn't been able to find it again until now. I'm so happy I found it here. I came back the following week, but unfortunately most of the popular items were already sold out. I'll definitely be back to work my way through the rest of the menu. It's been a few years since the last time we had a non ice cream cake for her birthday. I had fun researching online where to buy her Tiramisu cake from. Looked at sizes, shapes, prices....etc. Finally settled on this Tiramisu cake from Patisserie Le Pont. Awesome choice! Very very happy with this Tiramisu cake. The coffee flavor was very strong and the sweetness level was nicely balanced. A lot of other places made their Tiramisu cakes very fancy looking. This one had the more simple, traditional look which I preferred. It also made it easier to slice and share. The one thing that could have been better...there was so much coffee in this Tiramisu that it seemed to somehow spill out of the cake and onto the cake board. This made things a bit messy. I had to search for a platter in the kitchen that would be big enough to hold the cake on the cake board as the board was too messy for us to lay it straight onto the table. Love that it was loaded with coffee, but it was possibly a bit too much or else some new method needs to be found for keeping the coffee from spilling out and making things messy. Highly highly recommend this Tiramisu cake. It was sooooo good!
