I also got the lemon poppyseed loaf which was nice, overall the service was really kind and there were a lot of people at lunch hour. When the weather is nice, which a lot of the time the weather is just stunning in Vancouver, you can sit outside and enjoy the alfresco. It is a little small and you can also bring your own mug to have it filled with coffee.

The hand made baked goodies are absolutely amazing. The service was outstanding. The lady took her time explaining each item behind the glass covered counter. Their baklava and most of the sweets were not that sweet compared the Greek Baklava or Persian goodies. She gave me a sample of the sesame crisp as it was the last item and she was ready to clear the tray. The family is from Northern Iraq so different from the southern Middle East baked goods. Sold by the pound, I got 4 squares and 1 pistachio cookie which cost about $10.50. The lady said not to put the box in the refrigerator as it will dry it out, but leave on the counter away from the sun and it will last 2-3 weeks. Well, it's my stomach and not the sun that will make this box empty! I'm looking forward to coming back for more goodies.

It is a small shop with just a simple banner so easy to miss. They sell baklava by the pound or by the piece. I mentioned it was my first time there and the lady was so friendly and gave me a complimentary piece of baklava of my choosing and to enjoy - what great service! I ended up getting half a pound of the walnut baklava and half a pound of pistachio baklava for around $22. I only got to eat the pistachio baklava and it was crispy, light, and not too sweet. This is easily my new favourite baklava place and can't wait to try more! I bought the box of baklava to my friend's Thanksgiving dinner but she didn't up sharing (haha!) but told me how much she and her husband enjoyed the sweets. It was aromatic, smooth, and full of warming spices that made my whole body feel cozy. It's the perfect drink for winter. I also appreciated that they let me know ahead of time that sugar wasn't added, so I could adjust the sweetness to my liking. However, after steps, I had a terrible allergic reaction when my friend called to check on the ingredients, they mentioned that there was a white chocolate syrup that had dairy in it. If they knew this was in the drink, but my friend had said that I was vegan, why would they not let her know? There is also nothing on their website listing that this drink contains dairy I'm incredibly disappointed because I love to support Local, authentic businesses, especially one that is so close to me.
