We came on a Tuesday for dinner. The whole restaurant was pretty packed by 6pm. Mostly local people…read morewho live around here. Very cute mom and pop place The servers were fast and knew what they were doing. They had servers just for grating cheese and pepper and taking away plates and others just for taking your order Carpaccio (21) - we enjoyed the carpaccio. Not overly done with cheese or greens. Not too chewy either Prawns appetizer (22) - cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Could do with a little more vegetable Linguine vongole (26) - tasted like the sea. Noodles could have been less cooked but then again it depends on your audience. The clams tasted fresh and were sweet. Seafood pasta of the day (26)- had squid in it. Also tasted like the sea (in a good way). Pasta was the same as the one above except the toppings were different Arugula pizza (24) and Primavera pizza (24) - the pizza dough is obviously the same on both but both were delicious. Well cooked and chewy. The toppings were different. I preferred the meat one more just because I love proscuitto. Well balanced. Would recommend the pizza over the pasta Tiramisu (12.50) - pretty standard. Not overly sweet. Generous portion for the price. Wouldn't order it again Overall I thought the food was not bad and the service was pretty good. The seafood pasta flavours were something you can't make at home. The pizza was also good. This is a cute neighborhood joint. The prices are also good

Such a cute, cozy nook with excellent Italian dishes full of flavor. The service was outstanding…read moreand I can't wait to go eat there again.

I'm just going to give you some facts. What you do with it…read moreis up to you..... The truth is many Persian Groceries don't really pay attention to expiration dates and product freshness. They just don't. I have lived in Vancouver 30+ years and have probably gone through a dozen different Iranian markets. This is between North Vancouver, West Vancouver and Downtown Vancouver, Coquitlam and Port Moody. I live Downtown and every time I will make the trip to Mitra's Market to pick up what I'm looking for. With that said, Persian Sangak Bread happens to be my favourite type of bread....of all breads. This cute little grocery store is the one I count on for freshness. You'd be surprised how many other Middle Eastern Markets have expired products that smell and taste....well....old and nasty. I mean especially if it's as easy as just checking the label before placing it on the shelf. Yup. No, some just can't be bothered. The truth is.... The owner at Mitra's pays attention to detail, is committed to quality and upholds product expiration standards and dates, and I've experienced this for many years. So what do you get? You get superior products to the competition. I'm extremely picky when it comes to quality of any kind. This is the only place I consider when looking for Middle Eastern/Mediterranean foods.

Fantastic store. From the freezer items to the fresh foods ie hummus chicken pork all is excellent!…read more I come from the west end once a week to shop here.

Don't! Turn around,…read morego to the grocery store, get yourself a cooked salmon and a bag of lettuce. You'll save ten bucks. 1. I had to finish my salad with a leftover egg I had in the fridge. 2. I had to add my own dressing. 3. Tail end of the fish which makes an improperly cooked fish even drier. Conclusion: Extremely stingy portions. Both Protein & Dressing. (SEE PIC.) Ok..... I had the Salmon Salad. The size of the salmon I would say was comical if I hadn't paid $19 for it. It was so overcooked and so thin that technically It could've been Salmon Jerky. The Salad itself, which was a combination of cabbage, shredded lettuce, cranberries and edamame with a tiny sliver of a small avocado cut in half on the side. lol. I mean honestly I can't take this review seriously. It was as if a 7 year old made me their first salad. Again, perhaps cute if It hadn't cost me $19. Service? Not great. Not terrible. They took my money and gave me my food. That pretty much sums it up at this Fish Market on Wednesday, April 8 2026 @ around 12 noon.

It's a fish market / mini take out seafood counter. A friendly young lady was there making the lunch specials right in front of you. My girlfriend introduced me to this place. She work around the corner. I meet her for lunch. We both got the seafood bowl with rice also can get with quinoa. Fresh fish and veggies. For $13 is was a deal. We took our food and walked down the beach and had our lunch. The fish was cook to order. We waited about 5 maybe 10 minutes. If you're in a rush my gf says you can call ahead and just pick it up. The rice bowl was yummy, had corn, avocado, onions, tomatoes, so on and topped with a spicy mayo sauce. Overall, I was impressed. I will be back.

There's an older German fellow there, who is very efficient, fast and friendly. He has a gas stove and some cast iron pans and a small area to make his delicious sandwiches. I ordered the pork belly. He puts like 3 generous slices of pork belly on the cast iron pans, pan fries the meat, meanwhile he prepares your sandwich. He then puts the meat on there. It's wrapped in a wax paper, and off you go. There's no seating or anything. Once I dug in to my sandwich, it was soooooooo good. Yummmmmmmmmmmmy. There were other sandwiches on the menu, which I'll try next time. As well as potato salad, and a daily soup. I highly recommend this place!

Pinkel Wurst is only available in north-west Germany in winter time. The Black Forest Meats & Sausage department created the sausage on request, using special ingredients that needed to be imported from Germany and they delivered big time. I was transported back in time to my childhood and enjoyed every bite of Pinkel prepared with a classic Kale recipe, as in schmalz, onion, kale, mustard and Oats. If you know Pinkel go and get some. If you don't, try it and you might get to like it as much as I do. Black Forest European Delicatessen, (BFMEATS.CA) in Park Royal still had some the last time I visited. Also, they never disappoint with the rest of their products. PS. I introduced the Pinkel to a bunch of my friends, local and imports, and the consensus was very positive.
