Egg rolls

Stopped by to try the food. We ordered the skewered and egg rolls to start. The pork skewered and the egg rolls were tasty. I ordered a Bahn Mi and my partner ordered Pho. When the food came out I was advised that there was no bread. I waited about 20 minutes while my partners food was delivered to be told my order was not able to be fulfilled. I hadn't had time to go through the menu and my partners food was delivered already. I would have to wait additional time to have a new dish cooked. The egg rollsI I had were ok.

Juicy grilled pork and condiments - delicious!

We've been hankering for more good international food in Alpine so we were thrilled to see this place open. We ordered bahn mi sandwiches and the fresh spring rolls. The bread was crusty, like good French bread should be. The meat was juicy and flavorful; the marinade really comes through. Based on our previous experiences with authentic Vietnamese cuisine, these sandwiches were the genuine article, even a little better than what we've had before. The spring rolls included big and juicy shrimp, with a refreshing burst of mint. The only thing was that we asked, and paid for, pate on the grilled pork bahn mi, but it didn't make it. It could've been an oversight because they were due to close soon, but we were disappointed. That said, we will definitely go back and sit in the restaurant for the hot pot and other menu items.

It's nice to have a Pho restaurant in town. I ordered online. It was very easy. The staff is still trying to get a flow of things. It was busy when I arrived. I was surprised by the taste of the vegetable broth. It was really good. Those can be a hit or miss. It was a hit. I will be returning.

What the con hẻo- pho in Alpine? No way! I had zero hopes the food was good. I ordered a lot to give this a well rounded write up. I ordered pho in a hot pot bowl. I wonder what the hype was. It's an advance method of eating pho. Everything comes on the side, even the noodles. So I guess some people like it aldente. And some even like the meat rare. So, I guess this works. However, don't get alarmed. Even the veggies come out frozen. You have to throw it in the broth. The flavors were very authentic. We ordered the spring rolls. It rolled out delicious. We ordered the crispy tofu. It was under seasoned, but good to the last bite. We ordered the egg rolls and it was 7 out of 10. Ok here comes the con. First, they were only a week old so they're working out the kinks. They have "all new young workers." They could use some food service training. My order was screwed up and some food never came out. I had to get it to-go but somehow it was not in my to-go order. And that's why I took away 2 stars, but I gave them 1 star back because the food was great. Especially in Alpine.

Could help taking a bite first before the picture lol This is the "Pho Dip" which is a Banh Mi with a side of pho broth

Amazing flavor, authentic! Great service and portions so excited to have this in town!

Stoked this place is here. Food is really good and service was quick even while they're brand new figuring their stuff out. Go spend your money here so they stay in business. Will be back soon!

Pork vermicelli - everything was so fresh!

We were seated along the wall which had booth seating, which I prefer. For drinks I ordered a Thai tea no boba and the hubs a coke. We order the following items for dinner: Appetizers - - Crispy egg rolls - with pork (4 pieces) - served with veggies and fish sauce, these were tasty. - Salt pepper chicken wings - (8 pieces) they were a tad over fried but flavor was good. - Spring rolls - (2 pieces) with pork and shrimp, we ordered these Togo. Hubs enjoyed these for a late evening snack. Entrees - - Combination fried rice - chicken, shrimp and cha siu (Chinese bbq pork) I liked the flavoring of the fried rice - it was not bland, but I did mix in a tiny bit of hoisin sauce. - Pho rare steak - overloaded with green onions and cilantro. We always order pho but I really wasn't feeling it that evening, so it was all the hubs. If you love tons of green onions and cilantro, get it! The broth had a really strong flavoring of the cilantro. Overall dinner was fairly good. Seemed like there were regular customers that visited often. Staff were super nice and friendly. Parking lot was not packed at all. If in the area, I'd visit again. 2026: 7

We ordered the Bánh Mì Chảo (Chao 1) -- a sizzling cast iron skillet loaded with eggs, beef tenderloin, meatball, and hotdog -- and it did not disappoint. The eggs were cooked perfectly with runny yolks, the beef was tender and flavorful, and everything came together in this rich, savory sauce topped with fresh cilantro. It arrived piping hot and stayed that way. We also got the bánh cuốn plate -- steamed rice rolls filled with egg and ground pork, topped with crispy fried shallots, served alongside chả lụa (Vietnamese pork loaf), bean sprouts, and fried rolls. Light, delicate, and incredibly fresh. To wash it all down: iced Vietnamese coffee. Strong, smooth, and perfectly sweetened. Exactly what you want. The food is authentic, the portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. One heads up -- this place fills up fast during lunch hour, so come early or expect a wait. Thien Huong has been around since 1982 for good reason -- this place is the real deal.

It's a small, no-frills place, but the cashier is super sweet and friendly. The cooks are older, and it honestly feels like your parents are in the back making your food lol. Everything is made to order, so it comes out fresh every time. They do close pretty early (around 5pm), so plan ahead. It's also a great spot for seniors since the food is light, easy to chew, and easy to digest. Simple, homey, and comforting--definitely worth checking out if you're craving bánh cuốn.

The service was excellent the moment we walked in and continued all the way until we left. The entire floor staff were friendly, attentive, and incredibly hardworking--especially as the dinner rush picked up. You could really see them hustling, but they never missed a beat. The food was just as impressive as the service. We started with the shrimp and beef spring rolls with fish sauce, which are always a must for us. For our mains, we ordered a variety of rice platter dishes including grilled shrimp, BBQ pork, BBQ chicken, egg rolls, and a BBQ beef banh mi sandwich--everything was flavorful and satisfying. One thing that really stood out was our waiter, who memorized our entire order without writing anything down--very impressive! I also placed a to-go order for the #99 platter, and everything came out quickly and accurately. We were in and out in under an hour and a half, even during peak dinner time. When the service is exceptional everything else follows! Overall, a fantastic dining experience with great food and exceptional service!!!!

My order was done so quickly! I think this place is just a big secret because it wasn't too crowded. I ordered grilled tofu in the vegetarian spring rolls. Two orders, one for today I'm getting so hungry talking about them! 2 rice paper rolls stuffed with grilled tofu, lettuce, fresh mint bean sprouts & vermicelli noodles. This photo does not do it justice! Served with peanut sauce. So good - everything is so absolutely fresh - crispy vegetables. And the Stir fried egg noodle dish -crispy - OMG! I wasn't prepared for the "bird nest" noodles but was so wonderfully surprised (they need to put bird's nest noodles and more people would buy it - came with a bright tasting brown vegetarian sauce and amazing with the -vegetables and grilled tofu - (I ordered it that way). I did not touch the color on the photo. This was such a luxurious meal. So, they have a Buddha and what most people know who know Buddhists and their restaurants --Buddhist who own restaurants know how to cook fresh and keep everything clean - and they will not cheat you. So don't be all weird when you see the Buddha out front. Seriously. Having spent a lot of time in fantastic Asia and India - the restaurants - this is very comparable. With everything going on right now in the fields and vegetable rotting in the dirt because of ICE raids, they have sourced their venders with care and can offer amazingly FRESH vegetables. Usually when I comment about vegetables in my reviews, it's to only describe them as, Meh. Not this place!!! Looks like a great date location. It's only 20 minutes from Poway. And a world away from Pho Ca Dao in Poway that NEVER gets my order right, not only not-right, you pick it up and you're paying for something more expensive - that you don't want That place is so wrong.
