Combination pho was very tasty, service was quick and friendly. The broth really stood out, super flavorful and felt handcrafted. I would definitely recommend Pho and Grill International for a moderately upscale dining experience!! Definitely nicer than a hole in the wall but prices are not outrageous.

If you are a customer here, you are family! We had a delicious meal yesterday and chatted with Jonathan, the owner. He told us that he has not raised prices in over a year even though his costs have gone way up. The food is delicious here! The banh mi, pho, noodle and rice dishes are all a fantastic value and so satisfying. They have catered parties for us to rave reviews. Let's keep our local businesses like this one afloat during these rough times, especially when the bang for your buck is exceptional. Remembered to take a photo after eating most of the meal. The fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce is one of our favorites and the lemon grass chicken with rice was amazing!! Make sure to try their smoothies too!

Great local pho Spot in spring Valley/Rancho SD/ La presa area. Located in a small shopping plaza, it's hard to miss. I really like this place because: 1)delicious 2) affordable 3)convenient Definitely recommend to get when craving an Asian sensation flavoring!

So, my wife and I decided to hit up Pho Grill International after our walk, and let's just say it was an adventure! The place looks like it might have been decorated in the 90s and then forgotten about, but hey, who needs ambiance when the food is this good? The staff was like a well-oiled machine--busy, focused, and definitely on a mission. We were in and out faster than you can say "Dac Biet Vermicelli"! Speaking of which, we ordered the Dac Biet Vermicelli, and it was BOMBBBBB!!! BBQ pork, chicken, shrimp, and eggrolls all in one bowl? It was like the Avengers of Vietnamese cuisine came together just for us! The nuoc mam (fish sauce) was super, I was ready to slurp it up. - no diddy... Then we tried the Dac Biet Banh Mi, and oh man, that sandwich was so good it might've made me reconsider my life choices. If you're into amazing food and don't mind eating in a place that looks like it hasn't been redecorated since the days of dial-up internet, Pho Grill International is where you want to be. We'll be back for sure--mostly because I need more of that Banh Mi in my life!

Long leisure lunch on Saturday. The restaurant was half full when we arrived and there were people picking up Togo orders too. We grabbed a corner table next to the fish tank. I forgot something in the car, by the time I returned my Pho was being delivered. I added an order for Crispy Egg rolls too. I appreciated that the Egg rolls came with lettuce, mint and dipping fish sauce. Interior is bright and decorated with reds. Plenty of seating, looks like they have a party section as well. Server was very attentive. I had to kill two hours and they were very kind and allowed me to have a long leisure lunch. There are many menu options: appetizers, noodles, rices, pho and banh mis. Can't wait to come back!

3.5 We were near the area and we decided to pick up some food here. My family likes Pho soup so we placed two orders of soup, two orders of Pad Thai with tofu, and some egg rolls. I've actually enjoyed this place in the past because its convenience of being nearby and all, but for this visit it was off. I felt like the quality wasn't as good as usual. Oh and be careful looking up their website on the internet. Looks like it has a virus/ hacked.

Still terrific! I chose the BBQ pork bahn mi sandwich and the grilled shrimp spring roll. Whoo! What a wave of savoriness! The shrimp paste spring roll is like eating shrimp on steroids - TONS of flavor and umami. The French roll on the bahn mi sandwich was perfection - crusty and crackly on top, soft on the inside. The pickled vegetables were crisp and yummy. Delicious!

Confusingly where is the Pho restaurant open early morning, this one had pop up. Nice place, they treated us so well, food is super delicious, service is good and the floor is clean, last but not least the toilet is perfect. I highly recommend this place. . You should come and experience it at least once. I will definitely be back many more time.

It is such a comfort food place for me, having grown up eating Vietnamese dishes. The restaurant is clean and efficient. The banh beo (small steamed rice cakes with shrimp) and nuoc mam (fish sauce) it comes with is so good - you can either get each rice cake in separate bowls (as pictured), which is perfect for sharing, or just have them all on one plate altogether if you'd prefer to enjoy them all for yourself. Pour the fish sauce over the banh beo before eating! They have lots of options for bun bo hue (spicy Vietnamese noodle soup) depending on what toppings you want, and you can choose between the small and large size. Each bun bo hue dish comes with a side of bean sprouts, lettuce, and lemon that you can put into the broth. Their broth, meat, and noodles all taste very good. Would definitely recommend checking this place out!

Banh beo: undercooked, good nuoc mam Bun Bo hue: lacked depth of flavor, no lemongrass or aromatics that define the dish, fish cake ball was great and wish there was more of it Com tom nuong: they brought it to us missing the shrimp patty. Shrimp was cooked well and broth was clear and savory. I never expect great service in Vietnamese restaurants but there was one lady who looked like she'd rather be anywhere else but there. They know how to get people in and out FAST! Make sure you put your name on the waitlist tablet when you walk in. Once you're seated, the food comes out at lightning speed. My favorite thing to order is the cold rice vermicelli noodles with grilled pork and egg rolls. The veggies are always super fresh and crisp, the grilled pork is juicy with the perfect char, and their egg rolls are THE BEST. So crispy and filled with taro, pork, shrimp, glass noodles, and pickled veggies. Sometimes I'll honestly come here just to get an order of egg rolls as a snack because I crave them. I've had the pho a few times too, and it's also really good. Portions are generous, everything comes out fresh and fast, and the prices are still reasonable. This place is almost always packed, and there's definitely a reason for it. One of my San Diego favorites!

There was a bit of a wait to be seated, which is usually a good indicator that this spot is a crowd favorite. We started with the eggrolls. They were delicious and consistent with what you'd expect from a solid pho shop. That said, $11 for six pieces does feel a bit steep for the portion. For pho, I went with the Tai Chin, which comes with well-done brisket and rare beef. They are incredibly generous with the meat portions. I actually finished all my noodles and was searching around for spare strands under the abundance of beef left over, which is a good problem to have. The service was highly efficient across the board. Our food came out quickly, and the staff proactively brought out all the veggies and chilli oil without us needing to flag anyone down. It's a well-run spot that definitely delivers if you're looking for a warm, comforting bowl of pho.

Today, it's one of the most well-known Vietnamese restaurants in the city, and after this visit, I can definitely see why. One of my favorite things about coming here is the location. Even though it's right in Convoy, parking has never been an issue for me. I usually avoid the area because finding a spot can be a headache, but Phuong Trang has a large parking lot that makes stopping by so much easier. I came in for a quick takeout lunch. One thing to know before you go is they don't accept Apple Pay, so make sure to bring a physical card or cash. The staff was incredibly welcoming. They greeted me when I walked in, gave me plenty of time to look over the menu, and never made me feel rushed. That kind of hospitality really stood out. I ordered the Char-Grilled Beef Vermicelli and the Shrimp, Pork & Jellyfish Salad. The salad comes with shredded green papaya, celery, cucumber, carrots, shrimp, pork, jellyfish strips, fresh mint, crushed peanuts, and shrimp chips. The salad was refreshing with plenty of shrimp and jellyfish throughout. I especially liked the crunch from the green papaya. My only complaint was that the dressing felt a little one dimensional. I wish it had a little more brightness to bring out the fresh herbs and vegetables. It was still enjoyable, though. The Char-Grilled Beef Vermicelli was my favorite of the two. It came with vermicelli noodles, fresh herbs, pickled daikon and carrots, crushed peanuts, plus five grilled beef rolls wrapped around scallions. The beef had a delicious smoky flavor from the grill. The only downside was that the inside of the rolls was a little chewy since it didn't get the same char as the outside. Even so, every bite was packed with flavor, so it wasn't enough to take away from the dish. Between the friendly service, quick turnaround for takeout, and solid food, I can see why Phuong Trang has stayed so popular for all these years. I'd happily come back and keep working my way through their menu.
