The food and service were wonderful, we ordered the vegetarian egg rolls with the best sauce I've ever tried & shrimp stir-fried noodles,- so delicious, the veggies were crisp and so flavorful and the shrimp were large/plump but they were out of Thai tea (at 5pm) which was a bummer, but the matcha milk tea was just as good! Portions are generous enough to split AND take leftovers! The dining area was comfortable, they also had tables outdoors. However if you have to use the restroom, its way in the back and passing through their storage area is a little awkward. Bathroom was clean tho. They clearly have locals that visit regularly and this speaks volumes! If in the area, I definitely recommend, and would visit again. read more

This plaza has decent parking. There is outdoor seating available. Friendly staff and prices are relatively low compared to other "pho and grill" places. We always order similar items at Vietnamese/pho and grill restaurants. -Crispy wings ($12.25): we got fish sauce flavor. Wings were big and juicy with the sticky flavor. -Stir fried egg noodle combo ($15.99): This dish needed help. The noodles tasted stale and overly fried. The sauce could be thicker and seasoned more. The veggies were undercooked and thrown on top making it crunchy. -BBQ pork rice dish ($14.99): The meat was sliced thin and grilled with a charred smokey flavor. Would be so much better if they served broken rice instead of regular rice. -Pho filet mignon ($16.99): My mom really liked that the filets were beyond thin. -pho beef rib ($16.99): My fiancé is a pho snob and he said he's had better. The broth was clean, less aromatic spices. We came during lunch right when they opened as the first sit down customer and it took awhile for food to come out. The last dish took 35 mins from the first. Best to call in your order if you're doing take out. Since we order identical or similar items at "pho and grill" restaurants, the food here is decent but not the best we've had. read more

It was my first time eating here today. I've seen this place on Yelp for a while and decided to give it a try. It's a bit out of my way, so since I only have a 30-minute lunch break, I called my order in ahead of time. I asked how long it would take and was told about 5 minutes. I arrived about 5 minutes after the quoted time, expecting my order to be ready. I paid at the counter, and the employee handed me a water. I explained that I had already called my order in and was picking it up. He didn't offer an explanation and went to the back. After another 5 minutes with no update, a woman came out and when I asked about my order, she said, "I'm making it now." In total, my food was ready about 25 minutes after I initially called, which made me late getting back to work. I understand that things can get busy, but better communication would have made a big difference. A quick update or apology would have gone a long way and helped set expectations. The food was decent, and I would consider giving them another try in the future. I just hope for clearer communication next time. read more

Very unhygienic. Surprised with the high reviews. We went in and ordered an appetizer and 2 pho and while waiting, my sister went to the restroom, she stated it smelled like cigarettes and she saw racks of packaged meat on the floor. As we were waiting for our spring rolls that were sitting on the counter for a while, I looked back and saw a bucket of meat just sitting on the dirty floor! Very disgusted. It's a small very unassuming spot, but here you will find great taste! We enjoyed having fried egg rolls, vermicelli with pork, pho with chicken and tofu and veggies with rice noodles! My friend and I were going to order take-out yesterday but it was such a nice day and there was an empty table on the patio so we decided to eat at the restaurant. We shared a salmon banh mi sandwich (never had the option for salmon elsewhere) and we shared the spring rolls as well. Both were yummy and quite affordable. I think the bill was $18 before tip. The man and woman (couple? owners?) were super nice and very accommodating. The man brought out some soup for my friend (not part of the meal) and she said it was delicious. Ordered their Pho with brisket, eye round, and fatty flank with egg noodles with no cilantro or onions. Absolutely delicious broth with a perfect balance of flavor (cinnamon, star anise, ginger, cloves). Also ordered the Thai iced tea and a chicken bahn mi sandwich. The chicken was cooked and flavored beautifully. The bread unfortunately needed to be hollowed out as it was way too thick in contrast to the meat. For sure will be back! read more

We typically order Pho in Santee and decided to try something a bit closer to home. Hubby recalled seeing a place near Arco in Lakeside, so we gave it a shot. So glad we did. We placed an order for 2 different types of Pho, mixed fried rice and the orange chicken rice plate. It was amazing! Lots of meat and very filling. My son ordered the mango Boba tea, my daughter ordered a strawberry banana smoothie, and I ordered an expresso with condensed milk. All very good. Service was great. We placed the order via phone.
