I'd been patronizing their competition Ahi sushi for years until finding out that Ahi takes 10% of their servers tips, so I decided to start coming here instead and I'm glad I did. All the food here is absolutely fantastic. My favorite rolls are the spicy hamachi (yellowtail) spicy scallop, and spicy salmon. Best of all is the fact that all three rolls are so reasonably priced at only $6.95 which I have yet to find any other sushi spot can compete with these prices. They even messed up my order once and all I had to do was call and let them know, and they comped my next meal, no harm no foul. I enjoy coming here multiple times a month because their sushi is that good! read more

Chinese food and sushi under one roof... huh? This was my first visit after recently moving to Alpine. In a very busy restaurant, the kind lady who greeted me while answering the phone and cashing out a customer allowed me to take the restaurant menu to the car to look over. And what an extensive menu it is! I already knew I wanted sushi and to try something new. I ordered the Pink Lady Roll, made of tuna, salmon, hamachi, and masago, rolled in pink soy paper. I found a new (to me) yummy fish - hamachi! Fresh and tastes of the ocean, it was a delight. The pink soy paper, which I was also new to, wasn't my favorite. That's not the restaurant's fault; it's just a preference, and I missed the roasted seaweed. Well, I tried and found something new! The fried calamari looked frozen because it was in a stick-like form, but it was tender and delicious. Lesson to us all - never let appearances keep you from trying something outside of your comfort zone; you never know what your new favorite you'll find! Panda Machi in Alpine has good food; however, the service is not as good at Ahi Sushi. The staff does not seem as attentive and oftentimes you are squeezed into a space in the restaurant and the waiting time to be served is too long. read more

I can see why this spot got busy from the time I placed my order to when I got it. You have the option to go Chinese food or Japanese/sushi. I stick with sushi and it was all soo good and even still came with some fortune cookies. Food: I went with my daughter a while back, nice little sushi place in Alpine! The Pine Valley roll was a bit too "green" for me... it was good but a lot of cilantro and Jalepeno. My daughter got the Dream Roll and she said it was good. I would definitely come back to try more. Service: Our server was nice, no complaints. And they gave us enough space as we were eating. Perfect! Atmosphere: It is a small place, kind of tight inside but that's okay, Alpine is a small community. Tables for 2 and 4 people but might want to call ahead for a group larger than that. Price: Middle of the road, I'd say. Good rolls, lots of types AND regular Asian food as well, like rice bowls and noodles. So it's not just sushi. After tonight's dine in meal..we will never return...the food came out one person at a time and two of us didn't get our food for at least 40 minutes after other family members had been served. One of the meals came out cold. The women's bathroom was beyond disgusting..toilet paper all over the floor...floor was grossly sticky...toilet paper sticking to it..when telling the food server about how bad it was..she just looked at me and said nothing....after paying approximately $80.00..we went to McDonalds for a warm meal. Extensive menu with excellent options. I like how they have a Sushi bar, Chinese food and Boba. I had a salad and really liked their tasty egg drop soup. It wasn't watered down. Then I had the fried rice with Buddha's delight. A delightful mixed veggie with a rangoon and gyoza. I wanted to get a boba but i was too full in a good way. Absolutely love Panda Machi! It is such a great hometown restaurant where everyone knows everyone. The staff is great and super friendly. Tu at the sushi bar is especially awesome and will even make regulars custom rolls. We typically get the Panda Machi combo which is a great plate of egg drop soup, side salad, rice, a side, and a pain protein all for $13!!! It is such a good deal, super filling and delicious! My family came here for a birthday dinner (it's my aunts favorite sushi spot). We started off with some fried egg rolls. They were delicious! My cousin ordered the salt and pepper wings (also so delicious). But we came here for the sushi... I ordered the Pine Valley roll as they all said it was the best one... I was not impressed. The cilantro overpowered the fresh fish. My husband ordered the spicy tuna and my kids just got their usual California roll. These are all plain rolls, so nothing to rave about, but the best part of these rolls were that the fish was really fresh and cut well. A cold rainy Friday night didn't keep customers away. I pulled up to the restaurant for my first visit to pick up my takeout order and the place was packed with a line of customers waiting to be seated. I knew I must have hit the jackpot ordering from this establishment. I was greeted with a smile my order was ready I took it home and was so happy with my sweet and sour soup and six fried shrimp. They didn't forget one thing Chopstick, spoon, fork plenty of soy sauce fortune cookie oh and I forgot what the fried strips are called but they were good, everything was delicious needless to say I will return this time with friends in House dining, highly recommend!!! read more

I just love it here. It's a little bit out of the way for us but we try to go every month or so. Chinese food? Got it! Japanese food? Got it! Sushi? Got it! What more do you need? And it was just ok. Nothing special. My husband enjoyed his dish. Let's talk about the actual restaurant. It's dirty. There was dried on food on the walls. The corners and baseboard areas were full of debris. The ceiling vents need dusting. Our wait person was inattentive and not detail oriented, not efficient. Delicious sushi rolls and lomein. Every time I come to Alpine, this is where we feed our Sushi fix. They have a delicious, mouth-watering dynamite sushi bowl!
