I'm probably the happiest person right now. I'd post photos of the food but the second it was set in front of us it was devoured. Soooo good. Packed though because if this so be patient. The sushi chef is a charmer, suggested the best rolls and he was of course correct. Japanese beer to choose from and some delicious fruit teas that are made to order. I love the fusion type menu with Chinese or Japanese dishes. We opted for the honey walnut shrimp, crunchy roll and garlic edamame. Each item was the best we had ever had. The shrimp were huge! Less than happy; the waiter & server were both very pleasant, but I ordered PORK egg foo young (specifically asked if it could be made with NO shrimp, was told yes!!!), only to get home, 15 miles away, & discover it has SHRIMP in it. When I called I was told 1) it was a miscommunication on my part, 2) if I come back, they'll remake it for me. Well on the drive home out of San Diego heading toward Phoenix I had a little town called Alpine and stopped in this Chinese Japanese restaurant. It's nice looking place and service is really good no complaints. The soup was really good I had wonton soup was really awesome and I had four spring rolls with sweet and sour sauce which were awesome. The Jasmine hot tea was wonderful. The only thing that really went wrong was the main course I got a chicken and rice bowl with teriyaki sauce with the teriyaki sauce was kind of like a dark Smokey Teriyaki one that I've never tried before and it just left a bad taste and it's kind of didn't do it for me personally. Now, someone else might like this particular brand of teriyaki sauce I just didn't work for me. I've been going to this place almost once a month. But this place is extremely dirty. I don't understand why they don't do a deep cleaning everywhere I look is dirt in the corners of the room. The floor is slippery. You can tell that they have not done a thorough cleaning in this place in years. The food is good, but I just don't understand why they don't keep the place cleaner. The bathrooms are dirty, and if the bathrooms are dirty, the kitchen's gotta be dirty too. I've tried to overlook how dirty it is, but I will not be returning anymore. read more

This trip our friends suggested we try take out Chinese Cuisine and the second time was much better. The sweet and sour pork was very tasty along with the gyoza. This had to be the worst meal out I've ever had. I ordered teriyaki chicken and the chicken tasted off, like it was too old to eat and it wasn't even stir fried, it was boiled and had teriyaki sauce dumped on it. The chicken wasn't cut into bite size pieces and had fat on it, so it wasn't edible. The vegetables were mushy, not crisp like normal stir fried veggies are supposed to be. It tasted like it was left over from yesterday and microwaved and then it was lukewarm at best when it was served. My meal was rushed so I didn't get to finish my first course (soup and salad) before the main dish was set down in front of me. The salad wasn't cut up into bite size pieces and tasted like it hadn't been washed. I didn't eat it! The whole meal was disgusting! I'll never go back to eat there again. I know wonderful Chinese restaurants in San Diego that serve great food steaming hot, fresh cooked and delicious! Well worth the trip to get a great meal, but not at Panda Machi! read more

My husband had the lemon chicken and I had the orange chicken lunch specials. WOW!!! They came with egg drop soup which was bursting with flavor and a salad that was heavenly. It had a cream cheese wonton and a potsticker on the side, yum!!! Love the Murals on the walls, A very pleasant atmosphere. The staff was extremely attentive, friendly and efficient. They even made up our drinks so we could take them with us when we left. This is my new favorite Chinese restaurant and we will be returning. Great food and portions! The food is a bit pricey but definitely all shareable or enough to always have leftovers. The employees are all very friendly and they are always welcoming. Sometimes food for to go takes a little longer than elsewhere so make sure to leave yourself time they make things fresh.
