I went to get a mani pedi and after signing in was told to pick my color. I choose a blue for my gel mani but was not given a chance to pick my pedi color. Sitting in the pedi area the water was cold but before I could say anything I asked if I could pick my pedi color. There was some confusion as she thought when I picked a gel color it was for both, no I wanted a regular pedi, I received an eye roll. I've gone to this nail salon twice since I've been in Gaithersburg. The nail techs do a nice job and are pretty nice, but after my second appointment, I will not be returning. I broke an acrylic nail after my first appointment (my own fault) and just wanted to have it fixed so they asked who did my nails in order to have them fix it and I mentioned who it was. When the nail tech came to me, she didn't remember me and that was okay! But it was awkward because we were just standing there and it was as if she didn't want to fix it since she couldn't remember me...it was just a plain color no designs. Finally, she had me take a seat and I showed her on my phone the profile she gave me on Venmo to give her a tip during my first appointment. She then said "oh yes that's me, I forgot." I brushed it off and my nail was fixed at no cost anyway. No big deal. During my next appointment, a different woman did my nails and jokingly complained more than once about my designs taking too long. I felt as though it was rude and tacky of her when it's expected that nail salon techs can do designs and services and we as customers pay a lot of money to have them done. I normally get acrylic nails with tips and gel polish. I don't always get designs, but when I do, I don't appreciate someone complaining to me about it taking too long when they get paid to do those services and receive cash tips from me. On top of that, although my nails looked good, they were a little sloppily done... small drops of white polish on the transparent areas. Very, very disappointed with their work and then the conduct and attitude of the Manager. I have never ever had such an experience before. On March 21st I walked into this nail place because I just happened to see it while driving around in the area. I asked if they do gel nail polish and how much is the cost. They told me $35 and a tech took me. Her work was not great and I even had to take the nail file from her to fix my nail shape and edges. But I thought it's just the first time, no problem she will learn my preferences for next time. I tipped her $5 and left. To my utter surprise in one week the gel polish started peeling from all sides of the nails! In just one week? All other times, when I have got this done by other spas in Potomac and Bethesda, it last for almost 5 weeks. I get the gel polish on a monthly basis not on a weekly basis. So I thought ok, the tech messed up and I will go talk to the manager. But WOW, the manager blew me away. She was unapologetic and rude. Raising her voice she asked me how many days it has been and I said it's 10 days today but it started peeking in a week. She said "that is what you get for $35. It only lasts 10 days at most. The one for $50 lasts a month." I said then someone should have given me those options when I came as a new customer. Tell me that we have two types of service-one for $35 lasts for 10 days and the other for $50 lasts for a month. And I will choose and then it's my responsibility. But that was not done. No one told me I was getting the inferior service. But She refused to accept any responsibility. I said I am sorry, I will have to review you on Yelp, Facebook etc. to share my bad experience and she retorted back "yeah yeah go and write what you want - I don't care." Shocking! Nina did my nails. Do these look like a fresh set? They are... They weren't totally filled in, they were bumpy (the acrylic and gel were not done well) the edges aren't smooth. They cut/burned me with the drill. The false nails were too small on most nails so my actual nail poked out. On their feedback survey I was honest so they called me back. Instead of giving me a fresh set, they filed down my real nail even more, my nails are so damaged now. They were very argumentative saying they did their job so they don't understand why I wasn't satisfied. They were also very late both times. read more

Was treated really poorly by the woman in the back of the salon doing my nails. I like a certain look and she kept rolling her eyes and showing such impatience. My nails look terrible. She did not listen at all then she made me sit in wait while she and another woman employee went in the back gossiping. I was very upset. I will NEVER go back. Who wants to pay money for rudeness. I love how this place now is under New Management with over 3000 color selections They are by far the most sterile(new tools, files, buffer, and pumice stick) along with the lining the pedicure stations with new bag for each customers. This should be the a standard practice everywhere. I got the Milk and honey and Boyfriend got the Work Pedicure(for men), his feet needs a lot of work with heavy calluses- and the tech make them soft and clean as baby feet- he is a happy man for the day! They also offer eyelash extensions and eyelash lift which I will try next time when I come back! The spa itself has a relaxing atmosphere, there weren't wasn't any chatter amongst the workers unless necessary and the calming music helped give the spa extra relaxing ambiance. But the service took a wrong turn - I've now had two unfavorable experiences and won't be returning, despite the convenience. The most recent experience was a mani-pedi, with gel removal on my hands ($60 pre-tip). The gentleman technician who did my nails was transactional, condescending, and pushy about selling me on dipping and getting my eyebrows waxed. Even my friend who was with me commented on his tone and attitude. Her technician seemed okay, but I didn't scrutinize her results so I can't speak to the quality. The gel manicure lasted about three days before it started to peel, and the pedicure started chipping within 24 hours. I decided to give the place another chance because it's so close to my house, and went back for an eyebrow wax and a pedicure. Once again, the pedicure chipped within 24 hours, and it was the WORST waxing experience of my life. The woman clearly had no idea what she was doing, and she waxed off almost half of one of my eyebrows. THEN she asked if I wanted her to do it to the other side so they'd be even. I get my nails done here probably every two or three weeks and they are always polite, friendly, and do a great job! I've been going here for years and have had one time that I was not satisfied with my nails. They chipped the next day, I came in and they fixed them for free. Terrible. I went in on a quiet Thursday morning. There was one customer in the entire salon. I got a milk and honey pedicure ($45) which was ok. The man who was attending me stained my pants with the mint mask and then left mask behind on my feet plus left nail polish on my toes and didn't do a very good job on my cuticles. I also asked for a "classic" manicure, no polish, expecting a nice clean buff on my nails. Nope. Not only did he rush through the mani, but he didn't bother using any kind of conditioner or anything on my cuticles and did a horrible job of clipping them. Three days later and they are peeling and painful and raggedy. I could've done that myself at home. I paid $62 plus a nice 20% tip for unsatisfactory work and service. Awful. Horrible service. The first time I went ittook almost 3hr to do gels. The second time the lady wa so Hardin my nails. The 3rd time, they say they're open until 7 but they usually send their staff home early so when you rush to get there after work at 6pm they don't have anyone left to do your nails. Decided to try this new place as it's close to home a few weeks ago. Nicely decorated and big. The woman who did my nails, destroyed them. She used the electric file to remove my gel nail polish and went so far that my nails beds started burning. My nails have finally started growing back enough to feel strong again. She did also attempt to paint my nails - with gel, but that didn't go well either so I just told her to stop and we could leave my nails as they were. I was there for 3 hours!!! For a gel manicure that never even happened! Oh and the kicker, I got charged $15 Needless to say, I will never go back. I got a manicure this week and was really pleased with the safety measures in place. They started with taking a temperature scan and hand sanitizer. The seating in front of the technician had plexiglass and a space for my hands just underneath. Physical distance in place, masks in place. AND it was a great manicure! Even though it's a beautiful salon, I would NOT recommend this place. I got a mani/pedi and it was probably the worst I've ever had. My feet were not moisturized after the pedicure and there was nail polish around my nails on my hands AND feet. The male technician was very rude and insistent on waxing my brows even though I told him numerous times I planned on getting them done at another salon. He kept pushing the issue to the point that I was very uncomfoLastly, a patron left and it was CLEAR they were talking about her and making jokes. Completely unprofessional. This was s the second time I have been here. The first time I asked for an ombre nail coffin shape. The nails were uneven and when I asked the technician to correct it she yanked my hand around and had an obvious attitude for the remainder of my appointment. I still left a substantial tip simply out of principle. Today I had another appointment. Fill-in and pedicure. Notice I said appointment. They took two other people before me. When they finally put me in the pedicure chair they turned on the water and just left me there for 15 minutes. My toenails were only halfway painted and there was polish on my skin. When I got to the fill in; she was halfway through and looked at me and said excuse me. She got up in the middle of it and went to go do somebody's eyebrows!! She came back finished it my nails. They look terrible but again I tipped out of principle. I will never return to this place. This salon was an oasis. Hands down. I had the Milk and Honey pedicure. They really take the time to provide a thorough, high quality massage with the pedicure service. A lot of places you go these days rush through the service and do not provide a quality massage. My technician, Tony was the best. He provided great customer service and I felt really relaxed and welcomed. Also, this place has the best massage chairs. They are really. Comfortable and you don't feel awkward in them. The massage options are extensive and very high tech. I recommend the Full Air massage option. I will definitely be a regular here. read more
