Honestly, happy is an understatement. After years of frequenting another nail salon, I took a chance on MiniSpa with the recommendation of my friend. First of all, they accommodated us and stayed a bit later than they probably would have liked to seeing as we came in at 5pm. That in itself feels like going above and beyond. I will admit, I was a bit nervous at first because my tech was a little unfriendly at first but warmed up after a bit. Regardless, she killed it! This is the first time I can say I have gone to a nail salon and walked out with ZERO cut cuticles. No other salon can say that because I leave with at least one cuticle bleeding.. Every. Single. Time. I came in with a vision of what I wanted and Tina was phenomenal! Seriously, so happy I tried this place out, I am definitely going back here forever!! read more

I've been going to this nail salon for over 5 years. Although I have tried other nail salons in those years I always go back to minispa. The salon is bright and airy, clean, don't overbook/make you wait, and have a large polish selection. I give my usual nail salon two thumbs way up! read more

I came into the spa today to inquire about getting a dip manicure. I was entering as a new customer and was looking for a new spa as the woman I had gone to for years had left. The woman who met me at the desk, said someone could take me right away. I then asked if she could make sure that whoever it was very good, because I was having problems with the current dip manicure that I had from another spa. I was very polite in the way I asked and did not have a tone in my voice. She immediately changed her tone and became angry. She said to me if you don't trust us then we can't help you today. You will have to make an appointment for some other time. I am not sure if that meant that she didn't have anyone who was good at a dip manicure at that particular time, or if she was just being extremely rude because I asked the question. I felt very upset when I walked away because I was excited by the look of the place and thought it might be a great place to come for regular manicures. I don't know if I will ever visit this place again because I felt so turned off by the way I was treated at the front desk. I felt chastised for asking for someone who was skilled at what I was looking for. read more

I loved my experience here. Not sure the nail tech's name but super sweet! She really gets every single nanometer of my nail! They play tv with captions and also play smooth jazz/classical music. Very zen here!!! Love it. Currently have a promo with $5 off of a gel manicure = $35 gel! read more

Very clean salon and accommodating people . I have been seeing Jenny for over 10 years now and she is the only person I will see . She is so thorough and professional . I have followed her from her last salon to this one because she's that good . Very peaceful environment . Would definitely recommend. read more

Terrible Service, Zero Customer Service, Rude unprofessional staff almost everyone there but especially Jenny. Jenny was abrasive from the get go, rough, abrasive when asked a question. She assumed I had booked one kind of service and did not like that I corrected her about what I really wanted. Then got really rough and smudged my polish several times but did not like being told she should check it. I left after the pedi even though I was there for a mani pedi and when I was leaving she said "go and don't ever come back here"! Such audacity! Don't ever go there and more over don't ever go to Jenny. I will be lodging a complaint against this business. Oh so now you apologise and lie at the same time Tina (owner). You accuse me of refusing to sign your receipt that's insult over injury I was unsure as most merchants don't need signatures these days so I politely asked. Given the service I should have refused payment. This is a terrible terrible business run by terrible people. Folks stay away. I am going to complain to the BBB to review your license on grounds of mis treatment of clients and lying to cover your behaviour. Accusing clients of things that are untrue! And if you look at the reviews Tina (owner) half of the folks say the same thing very rude. Someone need to take serious action against this ill treatment of clients that come in and support your business, This is a dishonest business from Tina owner down to staff especially Jenny. Don't waste your time and money here. I have a complaint logged against them for dis respectful behaviour toward clients. read more

Nice ambiance and warm vibe was certainly welcoming at first, but the staff... not so much. No body greeted me, I had to go out of my way to get myself situated. While I actually prefer a quiet nail service, this technician was poking my hands as a form of communications to instruct me what to do next. I might be biased due to this one particular experience, but she gave off such an unwelcoming vibe, i know I won't be returning again. The place definitely has a potential, so I will give three stars. read more

It's a very nice place and everything seems clean but please don't get me started on the staff. I got a Groupon for gel manicure and as I walked in this lady came up to me with an angry face and she said "what do you want". First of all, girl, you do not talk to a customer like that. Anyway, I explained that I had a groupon and she just snatched my phone out of my hand!! She was frowning the entire time as if I was the one disrespecting her and when she pushed my hand to put in the UV light dryer she pushed my thumb to the wall of it and chipped my polish and then gave me attitude for it. Honestly it's not worth it to pay a couple of dollars less and be treated like I did something wrong. Never going back like ever again. read more

I've been here twice now, once by myself and once with my teenaged daughter and I highly recommend this salon. Every service was done with care and the space is impeccably clean. Prices are reasonable and all technicians we have experienced take time and care to do a wonderful job. read more

I was looking for a nail salon closer to my house and thought I had found it here. The first time (pedicure & gel manicure) was terrific. Then I started noticing that the pedicures would chip much sooner than they should. I also noticed that the polish seems diluted, i.e. when the first coat is applied it is thin and looks watered down. The gel manicure also starts to gap (gel pulls away from the nail tip) after a week. It is clean and pleasant, that's why two stars, but I'll be going back to my regular place as the quality of the service is poor. read more

Workers were extremely rude over the phone! The first time I called I wanted to see if there was an availability for my daughter and the man over the phone yelled at me extremely rudely with an attitude saying there was no free spots. Plus when I called a few minutes later to cancel my appointment and pointing out the poor customer service I have received she hung up on me! I will not be coming here again. read more

Wonderful new spa/nail salon next to Safeway (a little hidden). I followed Linh here from Mirage nails because he's the best. He's been doing my nails for about 5 years now and my gel manicures always last at least 3 weeks. He's very detailed and takes his time. Always well taken care of. They have a HUGE selection of nail polish, which I love. Decor has a chic and upscale look compared to typical nail salons and super clean! Look forward to trying other services. read more

i hated my experience here. very disappointed. their prices are unreasonable & they treat their customers very poorly. they don't greet you when you walk in the door & the workers have such a bad attitude, especially the ladies. go here if you want to be treated HORRIBLY. i sat down & the tech IMMEDIATELY started to talk about prices, which were extremely high & unreasonable for nails that you won't even enjoy. i've gotten my nails done here a few times & i've dreaded every moment afterward. that was, until they treated me very very disrespectfully. that was the last straw for me !! read more

I decided to buy a Groupon since it's relatively close to my home and I normally go out to Germantown from Potomac.. Although the atmosphere was nice, that's where it ended. The Groupon was for a Gel Manicure. I made an appt expecting a gel manicure. However, the groupon ( for a $37 service) was for a gel polish manicure. I assumed for that price it was for gel powder ( I needed a gel fill). Even though they didn't use accurate wording on their Groupon, I was willing to pay an add'l $8 for the gel fill, which is the difference they charge. on their price list. They refused The owner/manager was rather rude and so was a manicurist. She was literally pointing her finger in my face. I told her that wasn't necessary and eventually walked out. I will stick with V.T. Nails in Germantown, which is a little farther away and far better, more reasonable, and friendlier. read more

First time here Lovely space . Spotless. Pleasant atmosphere .super comfy massage chairs. Will definitely come again . After giving this place five stars I went in for another pedicure .This was a walk in but the place was basically empty so it wasn't as if I was causing a great disturbance . The gal who helped me this time was unpleasant and barely cracked a smile . She was also impatient. With nail salons on every corner , I won't go here again . read more

This is such a great, new nail salon! It is clean, a very open and peaceful space and my tech was amazing. I had a gentleman do my nails and he was meticulous and very pleasant. There are lots of nail places around here, but this is my new nail place for sure! I am very happy with my services! read more

Let me start by saying this is one of the cleaner nail salons I've been to in a long time. I had Sarah S. and she was absolutely a joy. She didnt try to upsell me anything or pressure me into a polish color or a service I didnt need. Im glad she was honest and up front when she recommended an alternate color similar to the one I picked looked better with my skin complexion. I hardly call that pressuring. The prices are a little more than I would usually pay, but they're worth it when you're being given the level of service Sarah provides. I got a mani and a pedi and my pedi still looks amazing even though I'm very rough on my feet. My nails I just did clear since Im taking a break with the Gel. Ive gone to her twice now and the first time I had gel and man she made it last almost 3 WEEKS!!! Idk how she did it but damn usually my gel starts to peel after about a week and a half. I like to get the almond shape nails and she has that on point !!! I wont be going anywhere else or to a different nail tech. I know a great nail tech when I see one. Cant wait to go back for the new winter colors!!! read more

fFabulous new nail and wax spa! So clean and beautiful. And in a great shopping center with lots of parking right in front. The ladies are all talented and did a super job of manicure, pedicure and waxing. We brought a whole group to get ready for a wedding and all of us were thrilled with the service. There are lots of pedicure chairs so we could sit and gab together. It was a wonderful pre-wedding party! Will be coming back with my Mom and daughters! So glad I found this lovey location on 122247 Darnestown Rd. read more

First visit for manicure and pedi. I was very pleased on all levels. The manicurist took plenty of time and I was happy with her skill. She was pleasant and focused on her job. The shop was beautifully designed and even more so, it was extremely clean. Foot bath and instruments were as clean as any could be. I will be back! read more

Spa manager/owner Brian is very irresponsible and disrespectful. He would not let me know if he could honor my request after calling him 3 times. He would keep saying I have talk to the technicians to let me know. On the 3rd time he hanged up and then he didn't answer. There are many other better spas in the area. I went there because of their Groupon and one of their technicians Bee is really good with designs. I would not recommend them at all due to the rude and obnoxious behavior of Brian. This is no way to treat a customer who is trying to become their regular customers. read more

Good things are : clean place woth friendly people. Massage that comes with pedicure is nice. But the actual pedicure wasn't that great..each nail had a different shape after the pedicure .too pricey for that service. read more

I have my regular nail spa. however, Groupon has a nice deal so I chose this place this time. the staff answered their personal phone while she's working on me. such a nice atmosphere. that's it. the staff has no skill, no manner. disappointing. if you would have to go, don't buy other service. just go for Groupon. insanely rip off.(Ah, there is no complimentary drink although Groupon say so) read more

Every place has one rotten apple so avoid Sarah Sab if you visit this salon. Every other technician is great but she is very rude to clients. She is too aggressive and debates clients over their color selection and insults clients feet for being too cracked or dry. The owners of this salon should throw her in a guest service class immediately to learn proper manners. read more

Called to make an appointment for 4:30 for two pedicures. Clear conversation of what we wanted. We go there 5 minutes early and were told she thought we said 3:30 but we called after 3:30 so that is not true. She had an attitude problem as soon as we walked in. We waited until 4:35. I asked how long the wait was going to be and I got an attitude once again and was told she was the only one available but she was going someone else's nails. Their loss of a potential repeat customer who always tips 20%. Not a good way to start a business. read more

Yes they are a little more expensive than other places in the area. HOWEVER they also are better. I've had three different ladies do my manicure and each one lasted longer than any other place I've been to. This is officially my new go-to place. read more

I had a groupon and thought that I would re-try the spa. It has a nice atmosphere and ambiance. I had been for a pedicure when they first opened and they were not familiar with filling the basins and I got sprayed (a real bath) with water on a cold day. No one apologized, compensated or added to the pedicure. I decided to try the gel manicure with a groupon. while the staff is not overly friendly, the manicure was exceptional. My daughter and my manicure has lasted 4 weeks. read more

I walked in here randomly on a Monday based off of Yelp reviews because I was in desperate need of a pedicure. So I walk in & I'm greeted by a man (who I later found out was the owner) and he told me that I could get taken care of soon & that I should pick a color. The main reason I'm giving 4 stars is because the owner sat me down in a pedicure chair & had me wait for 30+ minutes. Thirty minutes. My water got cold, twice. Which thankfully he was able to add hot water too . Finally, my nail tech gets to me & she was amazing. She also informed me that she thought her boss would 'do my pedicure but instead just left me' yeah girl, me too. But other than being kept waiting, this place is great & I'll totally come back for a pedicure, but I won't be walking in without an appointment. They have a great color selection and their pedicure area is so cute & they put covers over the pedicure bowl (++++++!!!!!!) I LOVE when salons do that. Check this place out if you ever get the chance!! read more
