The pedicure area is separated form the front and they dim the lights so you can sit back and relax. All the Techs are very capable and the take their time. I have found my new favorite nail spa . I've been to a few different nail salons in Olney and they honestly have all done good service wise but the vibe wasn't to my liking. They always felt off, a friendly but not welcoming feelings. This location just feels warm. It's extremely nice staffed, they took me with out an appointment with no hesitation and it was a very clean calming and relaxing environment. It was so nice I wanted to get the higher luxury services but unfortunately I didn't have the time. I'm going to schedule my next appointment so I can splurge and really relax and enjoy myself. Came in to give my daughter a birthday present/new school year mani/pedi. As soon as we came, showed them a picture of what we wanted and asked if they could do it. They said yes. Got our pedicure and then they could not do what we wanted with her fingernails. They said that we had to wait for another person and then that technician said they didn't want to try (without even looking at the design). How about next time, just be honest with what you're able to do and not able to do. And, understand you are in a service industry - so don't be rude. read more

I've been a few times now. The place came highly recommended for a mommy and me date from the folks on Nextdoor. It is cute and clean inside. I didn't love my service the first time, but my 4 year old daughter sure did. I wasn't sure I would go back until some friends recommended that I see Minh and try the dip. So I've seen him twice and my nails came out great both times. My nails lasted 3 weeks with no issues. He's very meticulous and pays attention to detail. This is a new spot-decided to get a pedicure. It opened 7 months ago per the owner. It's nice, very clean, products are super organized and staff are friendly. The menu is a cute booklet with different types of pedicure to choose from. I picked the basic for my 1st visit. That being said-I had an appt at 9 with Hannah. When I arrived-they we're still closed *sigh*. Once they opened - staff was super friendly and I was excited for my appt. I picked my color and sat down waiting for Hannah. Well...it wasn't Hannah and I wasn't told the name of the young man doing my pedicure...or why the switch. The pedicure was definitely basic - the polish wasn't applied well. I didn't feel the love (lol). The massage on the other hand was absolutely fantastic...I felt the love there. Maybe I'll come back for just the foot/leg massage!!! read more

My powder fell off in less than a week. I also got my eyebrow waxed and she ripped my skin off along with it. I told the nail lady that when it happened and she was in denial and then continued to laugh at me when I got frustrated because I wanted her to trim my eyebrow to be thinner on top of waxing it. I came in for a pedicure. There were about 4 other people there. The woman who did my pedicure clearly rushed to get mine done so she could get the additional customers who had come in. When I asked if she could buff my nails instead of putting on nail polish, she said they don't have the ability to do that. Really? At a nail salon??? I didn't even get the cheapest pedicure. She finished my pedicure before any of the 4 people who were already in their chairs when I arrived were done. When we were walking to the front, she had the nerve to say "I didn't rush anything" (I didn't even ask). Won't be going back there again! read more

My first experience at Summer Nail Spa in Olney, MD was very unpleasant. Visited the salon twice to check it out. I asked them about their service and asked if an appointment was needed. They said no appointment. He also explained what was included in the service I mentioned I was interested in. Today, I was told very rudely to turn off my cell phone, the pedicure was not even a pedicure, but an insult. He wouldn't cut my nails shorter, and he DID NOT, clean under or around my nails. No clippers or nail cleaning instruments to clean/remove dead skin around my nails were used - al all! Rip off! When I left their nail spa I immediately went somewhere else to get a real pedicure!
