I am new to the area, and was desperate for a mani/ pedi. I popped in on a Thursday morning around 11am, no appointment. There were only a few customers, so they were able to get me right in. Cathy was my technician and she was fabulous! They have several options available for both mani and pedi. I chose a 55 min pedicure (sorry, can't remember the name) but it included hot stones, massage, plus all the basics. I did the hot stone manicure, which I also really enjoyed. Both had a honey sugar scrub that smelled wonderful. Lastly, I decided to do a lip/ brow wax and again, Cathy did a great job. I can't wait to come back. This salon started out as a great place for pedicures but fingernails are a different story. The last two times I had an appointment, they slipped in a walk-in before me and delayed my time by 40 minutes with no apology. They have horrible customer service and overbook to make money. While this seems like a nice large salon, the owner(s) are rude and don't care about customers, which is surprising since there must be at least 10 other salons within walking distance in the Kentlands. The latest - my daughter and I thought we would give them one more shot for a mother/daughter day. The owner lied to my daughter and told her she could paint a design when she really didn't have time. She told my daughter it was ugly and then lied to my face and told me my daughter said it was ugly and she painted something else which I could tell was not liked. She told me my daughter loved it. Another lie. I was surprised about being lied to my face and treating my daughter this way. Her set of fills and polish look like a crap rush job. When I spoke to the owner a third time, she started yelling at me in front of everyone about her 40 minutes that she spent on her nails. So rude, confrontational and unprofessional. I didn't want to pay but did because my daughter was embarrassed. If you want to have a peaceful relaxing nail day, don't go here unless you love crappy service and nails that you could've done yourself at hone. There are tons of nail options nearby with kind and professional personnel. Google nail shops in the Kentlands and you will find many options. read more

This is my second time here, sadly I will not be returning. I got a a full set of SNS and they ended up uneven, bumpy and dirty. The technician seemed to be in a rush even though I came in 30minutes after they opened and the place was empty. Nail length and shape were never compared to see if they matched. He asked me 3 times if I wanted to get my brows cleaned up which I found rude and uncalled for. The place is clean and nice but that's about it. I ended up spending $60 on a set of nails I don't like when I've spent $45 for the same service and better results at other places around the area. Maybe it was just my technician but based on that I do not recommend going and suggest you save your money. read more

I'm really disappointed to be writing this review, as I had high hopes for the salon. I came in last night for a regular manicure, they seemed to really try to push you to get gel but I made it clear I wasn't interested. Upon getting seated, my nail tech shapes my nail, and proceeded to put on a base coat. I asked why I wasn't having my cuticles cut, etc but she told me I had asked for a polish change. I corrected her that I asked for a regular manicure, which resulted in the tech saying that "someone else will take care of me." I was seated and waiting for 5 minutes with no one coming over. Finally, someone else came over and again, tried to push gel nail polish on me. Again, saying I wasn't interested this time, she said "next time come in and I'll give you $10 off towards a pedicure." There was no follow up on this at any point in the visit. The new tech filed my nails unevenly and at a slant. She ran off after; leaving me sitting another 5 minutes waiting for someone. The previous tech had come back, and I asked her to fix the uneven nails. My nails were painted unevenly, and chipped within the first couple hours of leaving the place. Horrible service, and horrible communication. If you're considering trying a new nail salon like I was, it's best just to go to your usual salon or another nail salon in the kentlands. The work was not up to par, and it appeared that only one woman was really running the show and therefore service and quality of work suffered as a result. read more

My nails look good but they aren't doing enough with corona virus protocols still using old nail files on everyone/ used tools without cleaning which according to state board you aren't allowed to do regardless of a pandemic you're supposed to dispose of nail files after each client and clean and disinfect tools after each person to keep everyone safe in a general. they also aren't cleaning the led light before each person nor wiping down seats if it's busy not having people keep enough space although they did have social distancing sticker. keeping the gel polish out to touch and look at without wiping down after. I feel it's important to keep places as clean as possible and not be in the same routine as before. Very nice place though. read more

First time there, not going back. Their polishes are all pretty old and they kept pushing me to get services I repeatedly said I don't want. I was getting a mani/pedi for myself and a pedicure for a family member and at least 5 people ran up to us the second we walked in asking us what we're looking for... it was overwhelming. Once we sat down, they started telling us different prices than that of their website and what the receptionist had told us. They charged us extra for my family member's callus removal (even though we were initially told it's included in the package we were purchasing) and they didn't even end up removing all the calluses. Lastly, they were stressful. We wanted a relatively relaxing experience but the entire time they were rushing us, giving us the bare minimum (like smudging nail polish on my fingers with their fingers instead of using nail polish remover to clean it) and they were on the phone.. on speaker.. for almost our entire time there. Save your time, money, and peace of mind -- go elsewhere. read more

Reasonably priced, nice salon in a good area, but it's dirty. Reuses curdled acrylic and dip straight out of the bottle and used files/buffs. Also not very welcoming or friendly and they're more focused on getting you out then giving you what you ask for. read more

Let me start by saying a year ago, I would come to this place regularly with two friends of mine and LOVED it! Since they got new management, the entire place has gone VERY downhill. I will say the nail polish variety is fantastic and the place looks clean. The pedicure chairs are top of the line and give a great massage! That being said, I have some words about some of the employees. Last time I went, I was rushed through a gel manicure with a gentleman as my nail tech. He left polish around the edges of my skin, didn't take care of my cuticles, and the polish was thick and lumpy. It was peeling off days later. On top of that, there is another woman who works there- I believe she is friends with the new owner- who is the PUSHIEST woman I have ever met. Not to mention when I had her do my acrylic nails, she left my entire hands soaking in acetone for over 40 minutes, which is TERRIBLE for your skin and nails. She then looked at my nails and said they looked bad and talked trash about who did them last, when I told her she was the one who did it, she denied it and then tried to get me to go to her at another nail salon next time. Very unprofessional. I will never go back for any nail needs after those experiences. read more

We had the best time, the staff is fantastic, and our nails are looking great! Last Friday, we celebrated a big birthday for my mom. My aunt and I flew into town for the festivities. My sister, who lives here, booked our party of 4 for mani/pedis. The new location is so clean and very cute! The chairs are literally the best. Highlights: My aunt was thrilled and bought sandals to show off her toes! She had a bad experience 15 YEARS AGO, and hadn't had a pedicure since. It took a lot of persuasiveness to even get her into the chair. The tech kept assuring her that she would take wonderful care, laughed with her, and kept telling her to relax and not look. My aunt had THE BEST time. It really was life changing for her! Jessica did my nails. I wish I lived here so that I could see her regularly! She is THE BEST. She suggested that since it was Mom's birthday, I sneak over to the music and pick a Pandora station Mom would like. Jessica turned that music up, and the whole salon started singing along to the best 90s jams! I cannot thank Jessica enough! She really helped take these memories to the next level!!! We drove from Columbia so my boyfriend could get a pedicure. He said it was amazing!!! Vicki is the best and we will be regulars.

The first time I went they did a really great job. So I went back to get my nails done I was told I needed a new set because of the design or type of nails I wanted . Fine. Usually salons are SUPPOSED TO SOAK OFF YOUR ACRYLICS!! He used fake nail tips to pry in between my real nail and fake nail and basically rip them off and it hurt so SO a much, I know this is against board regulations. I can easily call the board and report it. I asked if he could soak it off he said no because he had another client after me.. I don't care if you have a client after me I made an appointment and that is my time to get my nails done professionally. It felt like he was ripping my actual nail off . It hurt so bad I kept pulling back and saying owch.. he began to laugh because I was in pain. I showed a picture of what I wanted it kind of looked like the picture but not really. Im not going to go back. My nails still hurt I asked for a refund and called them and they kept insisting that Tony took the time to do my nails but it wasn't even what I wanted. Disrespectful and Prejudice!!! I just walked into this salon with my daughter and asked for a manicure and was told by the front staff to proceed and pick a color. Shortly after that, a woman looked us up and down and said "we're too busy and can't do your nails"! I mentioned I was just told by the front staff to proceed and the front desk staff then changed his story also saying yes we're too busy. I was very confused as there was only one woman sitting in the waiting area with her daughter as well, and she also looked perplexed by the interaction I was having with the staff. It's very possible that they were busy and I would have had no issues waiting or coming back if they had courteously explained that, however that was not how they made us feel. They made us feel like our business was not wanted because of whatever prejudice they had formed, and unfortunately it felt like it was due to our race. To the management of this business, be very mindful of how you treat people, especially being in the service industry! I personally will not patronize your business and if my interaction with your staff today represents the character of your business, I hope you will invest your time and energy in correcting this behavior and making your business a place where everyone is welcome! read more

I had a great experience here. I got a pedicure, and I thought they did a perfect job, and they really took their time rather than trying to rush through it as some places do. Very nice massages throughout (at multiple points -- with the scrub, with cream, and then with oil), and my toes look perfect. Very nice atmosphere, very clean, very comfortable chairs, and they were super sweet with my 4 yo who I dragged along with me. I highly recommend trying it! read more

It is a shame because she had to go somewhere else because she got such a bad taste in her mouth from the person's awful attitude. I went here to get a pedicure with my mom and did not have a great experience. We came in for the milk & honey deluxe pedicure which was a more expensive option offering more services. The pedicure was not luxurious in any way, and it definitely did not live up to our expectations considering we usually get a basic pedicure at a different salon that was much better than this "deluxe" one. The ladies doing our toes chatted to each other the whole entire time while doing our nails and the quality of our "massage" was terribly sad. They simply rubbed different types of scrubs and lotions on our calves which actually ended up making my skin irritated because they probably spent about 20 minutes on our calves and hardly touched our feet. The workers acted like they didn't want to be there. They didn't talk to us until the very end when we had to pay. I was really disappointed. I felt I was rushed through my manicure with no care or concern. It was the fastest manicure I have ever had.I had to point out areas where my clear nail polish had not been removed from the technician. I had put a clear base on myself earlier in the week, she filed my nails so quickly with no care for shape . After the polish was applied there were areas on my nails that were not covered with nail polish I pointed out the areas and she slapped another coat on my nails . I stayed for a pedicure because I had scheduled both but was disappointed with the service as well. She never put the jets on during the pedicure and my feet were in standing water the entire time. She proceeded to clean the pedicure bowl as I was sitting in the pedicure chair and cleaned the rest of the chairs in the room . I will never return. I walk in and I liked the loo of the place and I picked a color and a design. I sit down and I didn't undertand the design was a gel like polish so you needed a light color as the bottom coat. My lady was so rude about and was NOT patient. She rushed through my nails and legit 2 days after 4 of my nails that were done withGEL chipped and started coming off. ALSO at the end of my horrible appointment they charged me 6 extra dollars due to the design that was on 2 nails! They did NOT tell em before the design was on my nails to tell me each nail is $3. Last of all they had the audacity to lie and say it was on the brochure. I grabbed it and said "can you please circle where it says this" THEY COULDNT! It's not on there and the lady I had was rude and the overall price was ex with the horrible quality. Never again read more

My teenage daughter came with her friend to get a manicure on Labor Day . Her nails looked not very neat. She of course chose white as the color and honestly the nail technician was not very detailed oriented. Will not come back here again. Their prices are higher than the other nail places in Kentlands and the quality is not great . read more
