Parking is easy. Bagels are not really proper bagels which have a chewy exterior and are boiled. These bagels are more like bread.. soft, nice bit not chewy like a NY bagel would be. I pulled an all nighter and watched as they opened up shop, so I knew I was going to get FRESH of the FRESH bagels. I ended up trying their chocolate chip bagel with blueberry cream cheese. Maaaaaaaaaaan. This was some next level bagel stuff. It was chewy, doughy, had a good bite to it, with the smack of chocolate chips. It was spectacular. Finger looking GOOD. The cream cheese.?.?? I never steer away from plain cream cheese. But I took my chances. I put my big girl pants on and tried a new flavor. And woOoOoOowwwwyyyyy it was good. And it paired with the chocolate chip bagel so weelllllll. I've also had their tuna bagel beforehand and that one is just as good. A little different but definitely a good tuna salad bagel. 10/10 I love this location and their bagels. Location is small with very limited seating inside and outside. They have self serve coffee as well inside. Parking in the plaza.

I think these breads and pastries are nice, but what brings the fifth star is when they use their breads for sandwiches. My wife ordered a blanco toast, which had ricotta, avocado, and a bunch more flavor bombs over freshly baked sourdough toast. I highly recommend their 'works" bagel sandwich. I had it on a sesame seed bagel with a very tasty scallion cream cheese. What made it amazing was their use of perfectly ripened, sweet heirloom tomato, thinly sliced red onions, briny capers, delicious olive oil, and fresh dill, that gave perfect balance and perfect seasoning. We sat at a communal bench/table to enjoy our breakfast items (which they stop serving after 10:30); however, we noticed that others were eating some delicious-looking sandwiches served on their fresh baguettes. I know that I have to come back for those!

But if I was in the area, I'd say this was a solid choice if you were looking for a bagel. They also had a lot of different types of pastries -- I noticed a lot people ordering those. We tried their butter croissant and croissant cinnamon roll. The croissant was okay, not the best. The cinnamon roll was tasty, I liked it better than a regular cinnamon roll. We came mainly to try The Works bagel (bagels are served only until 10:30a). I liked that all the other toppings (heirloom tomato, cucumber, onion, dill) helped to balance out the saltiness of the cured salmon. The salmon was so-so though, not really the star. I surprisingly really enjoyed the heirloom tomato, so I'd get probably skip the cured salmon next time and just do the Heirloom Bagel. I also tried their Matcha Einspanner, which was kind of watery. I'd pass on their drinks.

[Parking]: The cafe is located in the same parking lot as Vons and I haven't had any issues finding available parking spots during my visits. [Atmosphere]: Nothing to write home about and the interior decor was meh. I initially thought it was a donut shop, but they mostly sell breakfast sandwiches, croissants, and cookies now. There are few tables both indoors and outdoors. [Ordering]: Order at the counter, receive a buzzer, grab a table, and pick up your order at the counter when the buzzer rings. [Menu]: They sell breakfast sandwiches, deli items, cookies (e.g. ube) and coffee drinks. Yelp's top recommendation is breakfast sandwiches. Customers need to choose a style (e.g. Original Breakfast), bread (e.g. croissant), and meat (e.g. bacon). The staff recommended the bacon breakfast croissant. For drinks, the store has a sign stating Caramel Ice Coffee, Vanilla Latte, Matcha Latte, Fruit Tea, Cream Foam Thai Tea, and Vietnamese Iced Coffee. *** Original Breakfast (meat, egg, Swiss cheese, tomato, avocado - bread = croissant + meat = bacon - $13.65): Soft croissant and I was a fan of the fillings - two thumbs up. Almond Croissant ($5.35): Interesting croissant and not what I was expecting as it had almond paste filling rather than almond slices. The bread was fluffy but a bit cold. *** Overall this is a solid café for locals to stop by. P.S. - Redondo Beach Dog Park is just around the corner.

I usually order their Iced Americano made with their house espresso which has a slight taste of honey. The baristas are also nice and they consistently make my drinks really well even when the cafe gets really busy. The space plenty big with lots of chairs, benches, and tables. I will come back later to sample their pastries. Enjoy!

No one was in there when I arrived but the employees seemed to be working on take out orders already. Their menu had the right amount of breakfast type of bagel sandwiches that I was looking for - a bagel with cream cheese, a bagel & egg only sandwich, and a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel. The bagel consistency was nice and chewy. The only qualm was with hubby's order. I asked for easy on the cream cheese and his bagel ended up with A LOT of it on his bagel so he had to scrape it off. Usually I'd eat the extra cream cheese but I had a bagel breakfast sandwich instead. *Note for next time: Get the bagel sliced and toasted with the cream cheese on the side I also picked up a loaf of their sourdough bread. Hubby is picky about sourdough but he really enjoyed the tang/flavor of their bread. It would definitely be somewhere to stop by when we're passing through or in the area again.

One of the things I haven't mentioned was that the restaurant was very crowded during my first visit. I also don't have as much experiance writing reviews at around the time when I gave the rating. But I firmly believe that the reasoning for the three star was because of my conflicted thoughts with the tasting aspect of the food, I felt that the green garden avacado toast egg sandwich which lacked in flavor along with the cinnamon muffin. So in short, I didn't really enjoy the food personally. But objectively, the experiance was very well--Which is why I am changing my rating. As I have previously mentioned on the last review--I did, however, enjoy the ambiance of the place. The decor and overall concept is quite amazing. The cafe had a contemporary vibe and the patterns were unique in a way that made it stand out. The service was also good, had no concerns regarding the staff. But to sum everything up, I do believe that a four would be a more reasonable rating than the previous. But I did decide to give the place another try and did end up enjoying it, along with understanding more about writing reviews. So I sincerely apologize for giving the place a low rating without explaining specifics.
