Only 1 employee was working yet there was a line of 6 people ahead of me. 2 people who came in after me got tired of waiting and walked out. By the time I was 2nd in line, the person ahead of me asked the one lady working: "So it's only you working today?" To which the lady replied, "No, there's one other girl but she's in the back" and at that point another lady came out (upon hearing herself mentioned) and then FINALLY there were 2 people helping because before there was literally just one lady both making the bagels and ringing up people on the register which was very slow. It took me about 15 minutes to get my bagel. When I finally did get it, it tasted how a bagel should taste although it was slightly overcooked (a little pet peeve of mine is when they overcook the everything bagels since then it gives the burnt aftertaste). Only the Everythings were overcooked though upon my inspection. I also got a plain bagel and it was good. This is the best bagel shop in the immediate vicinity however I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

In comparison to other bagel shops in LA, this spot falls right in the middle. Unfortunately, what…read morereally holds it back is the price point and the overwhelming hype--both from long lines and TikTok buzz--that doesn't quite match the experience. The scale tips more toward the downside when it comes to the bagels themselves. The toppings aren't particularly unique, or consistent, and the bagel had a noticeably firm texture that didn't stand out in a good way. What initially drew me in--and ultimately prompted this review, my first review--was the coffee. After trying 50+ coffee shops over the past 2 years alone, I can honestly say this was one of the more disappointing lattes I've had. I ordered a whole milk latte, and the best way to describe it is simply: watery. It wasn't milk-forward, not sweet, and surprisingly not even very coffee-forward. Instead, it had a slightly herbal, almost oily, burnt-bean flavor that felt diluted with water. I also ordered the carrot cake latte, which had the same base issue. The carrot cake foam helped mask it a bit, but it tasted more like a strong sugar cookie flavor than anything close to carrot cake. In the end, giving grace, perhaps it was just a "bad barista day". Overall, it's not terrible--but definitely not worth the hype or the price. *If visiting on the weekend arrive before 9:30 to beat the line if you dare.*

Every employee was very kind and patient with everyone including me. Got my bagel and coffee in 10 minutes, both were fantastic. One of the best bagel and coffee spots in LA. Will absolutely come back!

The inside is large and spacious with a lot of seats. It's really open and has nice natural lighting and there is also a little patio area with outdoor seating. I really liked the vibes of the cafe and that alone would convince me to come back. There's a lot of various merch on display as well as house coffee beans and bottled drinks. There's also an area with board games and books to borrow. The cashier at the front was really nice and chill. He listed the different options for milk for my lattes and refilled the water tank at the end of the station after being notified it was low. I love that they had a chilled water tank that's self serve in the cafe because that hit after my run. For drinks I got a teddy graham latte with oat milk which was a seasonal spring menu item. It was topped with cinnamon which gave it almost a little spicy kick in the beginning that I was not mad about. The oat milk was so creamy and I liked that the latte wasn't overly sweet. I also got a matcha latte with oat milk for my mother-in-law. The matcha was delicious and the drink again was not overly sweet which can be the case at some other places. I didn't get any food this time but the pastries were all very temping and looked so good on display. I also saw some other customers eating sandwiches that looked hearty so I may need to make another trip here to try out some of the food. Overall, really nice cafe that I would definitely recommend to anyone coming to the area!

My daughter had to be at her meet by 6:45, so I showed up at 6:15 to pick up some bagels for breakfast. No one was in there when I arrived but the employees seemed to be working on take out orders already. Their menu had the right amount of breakfast type of bagel sandwiches that I was looking for - a bagel with cream cheese, a bagel & egg only sandwich, and a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel. The bagel consistency was nice and chewy. The only qualm was with hubby's order. I asked for easy on the cream cheese and his bagel ended up with A LOT of it on his bagel so he had to scrape it off. Usually I'd eat the extra cream cheese but I had a bagel breakfast sandwich instead. *Note for next time: Get the bagel sliced and toasted with the cream cheese on the side I also picked up a loaf of their sourdough bread. Hubby is picky about sourdough but he really enjoyed the tang/flavor of their bread. It would definitely be somewhere to stop by when we're passing through or in the area again.

Bagels are chewy and very flavorful. We usually buy a half dozen with a cream cheese tub and toast them at home. What we don't eat that day go in the freezer. The staff does an adequate job taking orders but it always amuses me how 3 varieties of 6 bagels becomes a memory challenge that requires multiple times repeating the order. This has been true at every one of the half dozen bagel shops we have visited. There is plenty of parking behind the store and the seating inside is adequate as well. The electronic menu boards suffer from the same shortcoming that every establishment that uses them. You need to wait until the screen that you want to read pops up again. Would recommend for great bagels. At this point, haven't tried the sandwiches or anything else on the menu except for the rye bread loaf which didn't pack the same punch as the bagels.

I looked up a local bagel shop and went to Uncle Stevey's! PERFECTION! I went home to make some eggs, turkey bacon, avocado, and matcha to make a nice breakfast at home and it fully satisfied my craving. The everything bagel had a great amount of topping, the chili garlic crunch had a nice heat, and the cheddar hot honey was perfectly sweet with a cheesy crust.
