    Perfectly poured oat milk cortado

I've had the pleasure of trying Cafe Kev on three occasions, and each time has been better than the last. My go-to drink is an oat milk cortado, but I only order it occasionally as most shops rarely get it right. However, each time Kevin has made it, he has executed it perfectly. There are hundreds of options when choosing where to buy coffee, but rarely do you find a place that does it well and with fantastic customer service. If you ever have the chance to try Cafe Kev, I HIGHLY recommend it!

The coffees are so good, we got a second round. I've been here a few times now over the course of the last few months and can't recommend it enough. Definitely the cart to choose for your next event - personal or business! The owners are so kind and the cart is beautiful.

I've lived close by for years and I gotta say, after coming to Quality Seafood twice (once in Nov…read more '25 and in March '26), I will definitely stop taking this South Bay gem for granted. I've only had the pleasure of having the following items below, but I'll be back in the coming years to try more. - Calamari [7.7/10]: regardless of what size you order, the portion is generous. This place doesn't overdue it with the batter and lets the flavor the fresh squid shine - which I adore. Only giving this dish its rating because there are a few Italian spots in Torrance that have my heart when it comes to the best calamari. - Fish Tacos [8.5/10]: Every bite gives a nice crunch of both batter and fish. I've had unpleasant experiences where I've had pockets of crispy batter, here the fish tacos are so great it actually doesn't need much support from lemon and/or tartar sauce. Be sure to order a couple of these bad boys during happy hour for $5 each. - Clam Chowder [8.3/10]: This place hits the mark on the texture of a classic chowder. Admittedly my cup could have used a touch of salt. I would have liked a bigger portion for what I paid for, but if you're in the mood for something hot to compliment your fried seafood - this is worth getting. This is also featured on the happy hour menu for $5 - Garlic Fries [10/10]: My favorite bite from this place so far. Not on the happy hour menu, but 100% worth getting and eating with your fish, shrimp, crab, lobster, etc. Perfect amount of seasoning and that white wet sauce on top is so so so addicting. The unsung hero of my most recent visit was Jose over at Station 20. In addition to taking my order, he single handedly called out orders for everyone by the dining the area during the end of happy hour rush. A whole wave of customers came in less than 10 mins I placed my order so I can only imagine how overwhelming things were on the service side of things. For my most recent visit, most of my order came in and my garlic fries came in last. I could tell there was a mix up in the kitchen, but Jose apologized and said a new order would be ready for me in less than 5. Definitely worth the delay/wait imo. Food is great. Seating is limited. Customer service is superb. But once you fish your food, you gotta take a long walk along the pier. It's a wonderful way to rejuvenate and make sure the quality seafood digests well. Can't wait to explore more of the menu, including the happy hour drinks.

I've been coming to Quality Seafood for the past couple of years, usually on Fridays for fish…read moretacos, and I've ordered the same fish taco and shrimp taco combination 40 to 50 times. It has generally been a place I've enjoyed and recommended, which is why this stood out. There's always been some normal inconsistency in portion. Some days the fish is bigger, some days smaller. Same with the shrimp, sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less. That never bothered me. It's part of a busy seafood counter, and I've never felt the need to say anything. What I got today was different. The fish taco was on the small side and dry, but the shrimp taco was the issue. It was served fried, very dark, and overcooked to the point the shrimp was tough. When I opened it after a few bites, I realized I was mostly eating tortilla and toppings. There were only about three shrimp total, which is noticeably less than what I've consistently received here before. In prior visits, I've also been asked whether I want my tacos grilled or fried, including the shrimp, and I've consistently chosen the lighter, non-fried option. What I received today was not that. I approached the counter politely and simply said the taco wasn't good, pointing out the quality and portion issue. I wasn't trying to make a scene and I'm not someone who returns food, especially over something this small. I was more pointing it out so it didn't keep happening. I was told nothing could be refunded because I had taken a few bites, so I asked to speak with a manager. That's where this went sideways. Instead of listening, the manager immediately dismissed it. She repeatedly told me that what I described was "not possible," insisted they have never prepared shrimp any differently in her 27 years there, and said they only ever serve three shrimp. As someone who has ordered this exact item many times, I was essentially being told that my own experience did not happen. The conversation ended with me being asked to leave. I've worked in and managed restaurants. Mistakes and inconsistencies happen. This was a simple situation that could have been handled in seconds, either by replacing the taco or offering a refund. Instead, it was denied outright and escalated. This wasn't about a $5 taco. It was about how it was handled. Being told that your repeated experience is "not possible" and then being asked to leave is not an acceptable way to handle a reasonable concern.

This review is for the Paramount location. I got a few items: Dino rib, pork ribs, brisket, sausage, mac and cheese and corn bread. I'll start with the positives. The mac and cheese and corn bread were decent. Also they took 15 minutes to give me all the varied food I ordered which should have been my red flag to run, but I decided to live dangerously and was punished severely for it. Now on to the travesty, the meat. The theme for today was dry, old and shameless. The pork was somehow undercooked and dry. Which if you can endure the cruelty, is actually kind of impressive. The brisket resembled beef jerky. I'm including pictures of the brisket since those speak much more eloquently than I can. I love to cook and I infamously over season my dishes. But all these meats were at a whole another level. Not salty but aggressively peppery and just ham handed. The rub was flavorful but it blew out my palette instantly. Please take this to heart: less is more. In terms of meat quality? Cheap. My Dad is a butcher, I can tell. Everything being reheated did the meat quality no favors either. The seasoning was further exacerbated because the ribs, both dino and pork, were almost entirely bone. So you have a ton of seasoning on a lick of meat. It was a recipe for disaster. And price? Expensive, especially for what I received. Insulting for what I received. I'll end it here. I don't want to waste your time like this place wasted mine.

What an amazing way to enjoy a nice weekend. The bbq was awesome. Tender, smoky, and tasty. We got to try these items. Lamb rack - very tender not gamey at all. Peking Duck - came with a very interesting fun blackberry sauce. Taste foie gras like yums. Crispy Pork Belly - super crunchy and basically melts in your mouth ooooweee! Favorite bite of the day. Short ribs - super beefy and tender Pork ribs - Smokey and tender Corn bread - soft, crumbly, and sweet. Yums had like 3 pieces. Baguette - crispy crust, soft airy interior with a nice chew (reminds me of sour dough) Paired the bbq with some beer and cocktails. Super fun dining experience. So close to the beach so we got to check that out as well. Heads up the lot next door is $20. Should Carpool.

My wife and I went with friends and had NO idea what we were walking into. We got there early and ended up waiting almost two hours before they even opened. I was hungry hungry and getting close to hangry... but the wild part? Everyone in line was in a good mood. People were excited. You could tell we were all about to experience something special. When the doors finally opened and we walked in, it felt like a show. You've got Adam at this huge cutting board, chopping smoked meat right in front of everyone. The smell, the energy, the sound of the knife hitting the board -- it's dinner and entertainment. We had the pork belly and ribs. Each plate came with a solid handful of pickles and peppers that cut through the richness perfectly. The pork belly had insane texture -- tender, flavorful, with that little bit of crunch that takes it over the top. Then he drips that mop sauce over it... I was in heaven. The two pieces of Texas toast underneath just soak everything up like a blanket for the meat. No joke, my whole group went quiet while eating. That's how good it was. That meal actually inspired me to buy a smoker and start trying to smoke meat myself. I try... but Adam is out here making magic. Second time was in Venice at Gin Rummy Bar. This time we had ribs again and the Dino beef ribs. Those Dino ribs? Ridiculous. So tender, so rich -- straight meat heaven. The kind of food that makes you close your eyes for a second. Now I literally look for excuses to be near Venice just to see if I can catch the pop-up, even though he sells out all the time. Big thank you to Adam and the crew. This isn't just great BBQ -- it's an experience.
