Over two years ago I bought a house in Camarillo. The water tasted awful and was very hard on our skin. The owner of Advanced Water Solutions, Jay, came out and gave me a quote for equipment, installation, and monthly services. It was very fair, so I went ahead with it. The gentleman that installed the system was friendly, neat, and competent. I have enjoyed my systems (filtration and water softening) since then. I am putting my house on the market and needed both systems removed. Although the filtration system was out of contract, the water softening system is in contract for another 11 months. I called and spoke with Peggy in the office, and she said that she would get back to me with an early termination number. I was expecting over $1,110, and when she called me back, she told me it would only be $300. I was thrilled. Today Tim came to remove both systems. I called this company to repair our GE Water Softener. Their technician came out and determined we needed a new rotor, and offered to replace it for $400 ($400 for a 30 minute job to replace a $35 part?!!). The owner came out the next day and tried to convince us to replace the GE softener with one of their overpriced water softeners and whole house filtration systems. He had no real interest in fixing our softener. Something didn't seem right so I declined. Next I called Sears Home Service. They were able to fix our softener for only $140. The part Advanced Water Solutions wanted to replace wasn't even part of the problem. When I called to complain the office person informed me that it was because I hadn't purchased the most expensive filtration system. Our water softener started leaking. It turned out to be the fault of the water pressure regulator not a flaw in the water softener. Alanso diagnosed the problem and was able to fix it quickly and efficiently. This is the second time we have had problems with the pressure regulator and it was diagnosed both times by Alanso.
