I have been thinking about getting a water softener and filtration system for some time now. True to the superb reviews I read of Josh's professional service on Reddit, my experience was a very professional and exceptional service. I purchased the Water Softener and Reverse Osmosis drinking water units for our home. Consultation experience: Josh was the first vendor to contact me after listing my search on on Yelp. He came promptly for an in person presentation to test the city water in my home and explain all the options. I was very impressed by him not trying to "sell" but rather ask questions to learn what specifically I was looking for the use of my home water. Once I decided on going with PureLux H20, he was able to send his technicians out to my home within 4 days to install the unit. Workmanship experience: Hardy and Hugo were the technicians, and they were extremely informative and diligent. They showed up punctual to the time they gave me in advance. I appreciated that they were very conscientious to ask all the questions in advance of where I would like the unit installed, briefing me on ease of access location as well as possible noise that might be a disturbance if too close to an indoor room. The installation was done within the time frame they gave me, and they left the work area clean after they left. Follow up: They came out again to my home after the unit was installed for follow questions and calibrations. All throughout the service, I was very pleased by the genuine concern for providing the best customer service from Josh, Hardy and Hugo. Water quality difference: The water in my house now is noticeable softer (no mineral residual left on glass) and the drinking water from the reverse osmosis now tastes much better, without the chlorine taste from the city water. Hardy connected the reverse osmosis unit to the refrigerator (for ice maker, and water dispenser) in addition to the tap spigot. The quality difference in our home water is noticeably better in all respects (smooth, no odors, tastes better, no mineral residual) and well worth the investment in the Water Softener system installed by PureLux H20. He truly cares about the quality of his products, work, and customer service and takes pride in what he delivers at an affordable price. He still answers questions from us even though we already paid for our softener and install two years ago. The small things matter and this really is a great business model that focuses on customer first. I've had the water system for about 2 months now, so now I'm ready for a review. :) My friend who is into very high quality items referred me to Josh. Josh was easy to communicate with to set up the meeting and was very thorough when we met. He wasn't pushy or reading a script -- he listened to my concerns and addressed them thoughtfully. Josh seemed trustworthy and knowledgeable. When it came time to install, 2 men came to install the system outside as well as my kitchen counter (drinking water). They were professional and thorough as well. They even pointed out a leak I had under the house. Now to the system. After the first week or so of particulates coming out of the drinking spout (Josh said it was still fine to drink), I have super clear water to drink. The drinking filtration system is made in Taiwan, FYI. The main system outside is made in the USA. The water is very "slippery," which is standard for all water softening systems. As such, be careful when washing dishes, as I've already broken a couple of china. I wish there was a way to bypass the water hose spouts so that they didn't spew out filtered water (I water my garden a lot), but there isn't. All in all, I'm very satisfied with the product, sales and installation process, and price for this system! I highly recommend Josh and his system. :) read more

I really wanted an ROS system for my apartment and was happy when I found Purelux, they were able to install my system easily and the water tastes great (I got the alkaline system). My sink doesn't have a place to install a spout so I just had them leave a line underneath the sink and I just fill up glass bottles for the fridge. Needed a water softening system for the condo, and a drinking water filtration system for the kitchen sink. Saw the positive Yelp reviews (one from a nearby neighbor), and went with PureLux. It was a very frictionless process. Micah came over and checked our environment to determine the best solution/equipment for us. Micah has a great combination of sincerity, charm and professionalism. I really appreciated that, from beginning to end, everything happened the way he said it would happen. No big surprises. Sometimes things go smoothly with the initial sales person you deal with, but then the actual installers show up and aren't so nice. Not this time. 2 guys showed up, one to handle the water-softening system and the other to handle the drinking water filtration system. And both of them again, were very nice and very professional. They finished the job in about 3 hours and explained the need for salt for the softening system (every 6 months) and replacement for the drinking water filters (every 18 months). The drinking water quality was excellent to the taste. I had a measuring device that showed a 15 parts per million purity score (very good). A few days later Micah made a follow-up visit and his device showed a 9 parts per million purity score (even better). The water has also certainly changed as far as hardness is concerned. I can feel the difference in the shower where the little needles of water from my shower head create a bit less of a sting, and my hair and skin feel more soothed afterward. Altogether, we had a very positive and fruitful transaction with PureLux and Micah, and I'm looking forward to them coming back out in 18 months to change out the drinking water filters. read more

We have had a whole house system plus RO drinking water for three weeks now, and I can't believe we waited this long to do this. I thought I had dry skin for years. It was just our water. I don't need to use clarifying shampoo on my hair anymore-- I get a good lather with regular shampoo now and there is no residual buildup. We were interested in a water softener system (whole house) and were considering a water purifier/alkalinizer (under the sink). We have very hard water, (it turns out) with high levels of Chlorine and Bromine etc in Burbank, CA. Josh and Hardy (tech) are both to great to work with. PureLuxH20 was referred to us by our group of close friends (all of whom already had system installed by PureLuxH20). Our system was the 5th time purchase in our group ! We got a good price. Josh initially explained the system over the phone. He came out to do an initial water test complete with a water sample to taste - which had great taste, explained things to us re:test, emailed the results. We then discussed options for how/where to install the system outside. Next, his guys (Hardy and an assistant) came over to do the under the sink install along with the counter faucet. You will have options on the under sink purified water reservoir tank sizing and the faucet finish (chrome/satin nickel being standard) ... PS pro-tip: if you need something different like stainless steel finish, don't forget to request Josh prior to placing your system order since those are special order and need lead time ! Finally, on another day, Hardy came back with the whole house softener system, did the plumbing, wiring per our discussions and finished the install. Josh was kind enough to come out after the install per our request to do an after-install water test for us to have peace of mind. They are responsive when you have questions/concerns. They are professional, really nice to work with. Very positive experiences with both of them. The water feels great on the skin, helps a lot with the white residue/scaling left behind everywhere (counters, appliances, bathroom, faucets/fixtures etc) and tastes very good for drinking.
