So after 5 years with Culligan, we switched to Pro Water's state of the art system to clean up the water coming into our home. We also got the reverse osmoses system under the kitchen sink to further clean the water. This was such an easy and smooth process. We put in the order with Brad, scheduled an appointment for installation and our installer was Maurice. These guys know what they are doing and they made it very easy for us. The set the expectations and we didn't have to do anything. It took us about a couple hours where we couldn't use the water but then all we had to do is flush out the air from the new system. It's the third day now and everything is working great. WHY WE CHANGED: Just got tired of increasing monthly rates and having to open the garage for the techs to switch out the tanks. My Puronics water softener was toast after 11 years so I decided to start looking at other water softener companies. Frankly, I was tired of the annual maintenance charges to replace proprietary filters for my RO drinking water system and paying 5x more than my buddies for replacements. I started doing my research and realized that most water softeners are the same and there is a huge difference in water softening capability between salt based and salt-less units. The difference comes in the valves, service, warranty and expertise to size the unit right for the household based on size and occupancy. In addition, I learned that carbon filtration helps eliminate odors and chemicals and helps with the longevity of the of actual water softener unit. I used Yelp and got in touch with several water softener companies and stayed away from the proprietary ones like Culligan, Ecowater, and Puronics. I spoke to Brad and he was a wealth of information without the hard sell. We discussed what happened to my Puronics and confirmed their diagnosis that my current unit was done. Pro Water offers different combos and I told him I wanted a 2 tank system and he was able to recommend one. These units are generic in parts so I can DIY if necessary. They fill the resins and all the other things that go into the tanks and use Clack valves which are the workhorse of the industry. Brad came by and since i was already plumbed, the price was very competitive and saved me at least 2K from the Puronics unit I was quoted. He answered all my questions and was pretty straightforward. Brad helped me cut through the fog of confusion that was preventing me from solving my water problems. Brad arranged for a consultation at my home where my problems could be investigated and properly diagnosed. He personally came to my home, arrived right on time, and tested my water and water pressure providing a thorough check up.
