Favorable water conditioning system designed for a single family residence. Purchased mine with new home about 15 years ago. I bought the system because shortly after moving into our house. The water was very hard example- I could see white mineral deposits on shower glass doors and faucets. The system was able to help with hard water issue but it did not eliminate it completely. Check photo of pre sediment filter. Note the big difference in color. All that brown stuff in filter is who knows what. You are bathing and eating that yuck. Tip: if u purchase system you can buy the replacement filters for much less on eBay. read more

Note: this 'review' in not about their 'system' only their sales practice: We interviewed three companies when considering new water conditioning/softening system. "LIfeSource" was one of the three. We decided to go with another company. No objection to "LIfeSource" their system (which I'm sure is terrific for what it does) in concert with the costs just wasn't what we were looking for. But the text messages and emails keep coming. No thank you should have been enough and while we appreciated your time the answer was no. And now I'm under a two year agreement with a system we're very happy with. I finally 'blocked' their number from texts, alas there is no 'unsubscribe' option to the emails. It's not that big a deal just be aware and careful about the access to contact you in future. I owned and operated a small retail business which I started from scratch and as good as we and our product mix was some folks preferred our competitors. We absolutely LOVE our new LifeSource system. We just bought our house and this was one of the first upgrades we made. We believe in whole home water filtration, and looked at a bunch of other options. As this purchase was pretty up there, she didn't push us at all, if anything we requested some referrals before moving forward which she provided outside of us doing our own research with others. The entire process was fairly quick. We first checked to see if we qualified to finance it which we did so we now have zero interest for one year. "It is time for replacement". I also found out the unit for the carbon system only lasts 10 years and the second system only lasts for 5 years. It is a good system, why can't they be honest, they are not installing a LIFETIME SYSTEM! DON"T BE FOOLED. IT GOES OUT OF WARRANTY, THEN YOU HAVE TO REPLACE IT ALL ONCE AGAIN. I really liked the Life Source Water System until about three years into having it. We started noticing more and more water spots on our shower and dishwasher. I called Life Source and their recommendation is to back flush the system every 15 days. They say this is due to the amount of hard water Ventura has. They even came out and did a test and the water in Ventura East End is off the chart for hardness. So we have to purchase other expensive equipment just to make the water drinkable. WOW! The whole system is just ok. It does make Ventura's water drinkable out of the tap. As far as the descale tank they sell you, is NOT WORTH IT. I was told by the very nice tech when he installed the system, that in 4 years the descale tank will need to have the beads inside replaced and this runs around $250.00. I just happened to look at the tank today and noticed the date on it reads 8-16-21. Wow! 4 years came up quick. So I got a jump on the service call and the lady told me that the service is $250+ $1500. for a new descale tank. So the company doesn't reuse the huge descalser tank, they throw is away and charge the customer. So I pay $6000.00 for the system and then every 4 years I have to pay another $2000. This was never told to me when we had the rep or the tech come out. It is a good but very expensive system for Ventura water. DO NOT GET THE DESCALE TANK. IT DOESN'T WORK. Plus the system waist a lot of water, especially if I have to back flush it every 15 days. The company wasn't honest about all the prices up front. If they would have told me about the extra money every 4 years I would NOT have purchased it. read more
