My family have been a customer for over 20 years. Up until the last 2 years, service was professional, kind, and prompt. Since 2022, we have been trying to get service and filter changes, with no acknowledgement or response. I have tried calling, texting, and email. Nothing. Billing is sporadic at best. We won't receive a bill for 4-5 months at a time. Billing is also inaccurate. I've sent payments through certified mail, with tracking numbers, and they still claim they never received payments. I can't get anyone to answer calls to pay my bill, and they aren't capable of finding my mail in payment. How do I pay?? Unfortunately, this company has been a pain to deal with. When we first started using them, 10 yrs ago roughly they were great. The i dont know happened over the past few years it went to complete crap. Couldnt get anyone to service the water softner that wouldnt work anymore. When i finally did get a hold of someone I just had someone try to up sell me into a more expensive softner instead of just fixing what I signed up for. They wouldnt exchange the filter in my reverse osmosis system so when i did it myself the filter came out black, supposed to be white. Have been calling for 6 weeks to try to get someone to repair my softener. it's less than 2 years old, and is the second one that we've had Water Pro install (the first one broke after 6 years). Their voicemail box is full, and if they do answer the phone, they say they'll "try" to get us on the schedule. Bottom line: they've sold us two crappy water softeners and now they can't be bothered to call us back. I hate to light up a locally owned small business, but that was why we chose them. I purchased a water softener and reverse osmosis system for my home. FrNk was a delight to work with. After a week, Frank installed the water softener. He was fairly quick and very neat. A couple of days later, he installed the reverse osmosis system, under my kitchen sink. Again, very quick and neat. For an extra fee, he was able to connect the reverse system to my refrigerator ice machine. Overall, I am very happy with the equipment and the installation. We have had this drinking water company for almost 7 years now. We have had to call to get out filters changed and complain that we did not receive our monthly bill. When we called this company to get a filter change and maintenance they responded that we did not pay the last month billing so they were not coming out to do anything until they received the payment which for the last 2 years they were sending a paper bill every other month. So we decided to finally cancel our services when they advised they were increasing the price another $10 per month. For What??? Bad service. No need for that kind of service. read more

I am a water fanatic. I was getting water from Palomar Springs and they got bought out by Sparkletts. That is absolutely not good enough for me. So I went on a mission to find a better water source for my house. I was looking for clean water and alkaline if I could get it. So then I looked at a bunch of reviews and considered having alkaline water delivered to the house but that was pretty expensive and they were getting really bad reviews. I didn't really see anywhere else that delivered water to the house that was anything other than Sparkletts or crappy water like that. So then I went on their website of water pro. I was gob smacked to see that I could get a reverse osmosis water machine then that makes the water alkaline for $30 a month rental or paying $1000 for the machine. I was paying $160 a month for water being delivered that's how much water we use. So it was it a great choice. We decided to go with the reverse osmosis water machine/alkaline water. He even hooked up the water to our ice and that's awesome to have alkaline ice for the house. I now know that we are not drinking fluoride we are not drinking chlorine in the water and that it's the purest clean water available. From the day I called which was a Friday they were able to come on a Monday to install it. Frank came and he was so capable and honest, it was so refreshing. He runs his business with dignity and respect. It is a wonderful feeling to know that you are buying what you think you are buying. He informed me the machine I had before that was the clean water in the house was actually not anything other than charcoal cleaning it. I was misled by the other company and I'm glad I knew it so I won't ever purchase from them again. We are renting so we are going to do the $30 a month for this machine and then when we move we're going to just out right by one of their machines. It is a relief to know I can trust someone and if anything goes wrong I can call them and it'll get fixed. I don't write reviews that often but I could not help myself but to let myself write this review. If you are looking for a water system if you even know a little bit about water you're gonna want what I bought the reverse osmosis alkaline water machine that is the only way to go. If you wanna get extra fancy, you can buy a hydrogen water machine and put your alkaline water in that and then you have hydrogen alkaline water, and then you're officially fancy! Well this was a total disappointment... I was able to quickly get in touch with someone over the phone and scheduled a reverse osmosis system installation for the following week. On the day of the install, I waited, waited, and waited...and no one showed up. I attempted to then call multiple times, to no avail. No one answered and no one returned my calls. My wife stayed home that day to be available for the installation and no one ever contacted us thereafter. I am still dumbfounded at how a business can 1) not show up entirely and 2) then not return any calls. I was hopeful that their product was a great value, but never had the chance to see for myself. Don't let Frank's youth and hard working attitude fool you. Frank is the company's install guy and is one of the few geniuses I've met in life. His mind and hands are active and resourceful. Frank helped us figure out so many odd nuances that were perplexing about our house and property, none of which the inspector, gardener, plumber, realtor, or husband of the person who previously lived here could figure out. Frank stayed until 2:30 in the morning to install all the systems with integrity and left our property looking pristine. We ordered the whole house filter, softener, and alkaline RO. He drove all the way to Santa Barbara twice, first for the quote, then the second for a very complex install that took 16-17 hours plus driving time. He kept a positive and energetic attitude the entire time, working and finding solutions. He was kind and generous to our gardener and puppy as well. He literally lives off of passion and honesty - that's what drives and motivates the company, too. They are good, but very busy. Flaked on one of my appointments, but were very apologetic and took care of me the following day. Nice family-owned company. Filters work and affordable. Pretty straight-forward. As for the other person who posted on here. I think you may need a bit of a science lesson. Regarding pH, it goes from 0 to 14. 7 is completely neutral. Anything below 7 (0 to 6.9) is acidic. Anything above 7 (7.1 to 14) is alkaline or basic. Therefore 7.2 is alkaline. Granted its not a high alkaline reading, but it IS, in fact, alkaline. read more

I will never use this company. In my experience, the owner is highly unprofessional. My recently deceased father had their water system in his home. I called and set up an appointment for them to remove the system as soon as possible as the home is going on the market. I was told someone would SHOW UP to remove the system between 1 and 3 pm the day of the appointment. I asked that the tech text or call to give me an idea of when he/she was en route. I waited at the home from 1 pm until nearly 2:30 pm. I called and apparently got the owner who told me he was now in Ventura and did not intend to come back. He apparently made a "confirming call" that translates into HE DOESN'T SHOW UP if you don't answer right away! He offered excuses but NO RESOLUTION for having STOOD ME UP. I simply asked him to come back after his last appointment, so as not to disrupt other customers' schedules for the day, AND HE REFUSED!! To me, this showed a complete lack of integrity as well as total disrespect for me and my time. His arrogant refusal to return and make good on the appointment HE MISSED is inexcusable. read more

After researching local companies I decided to call Water Pro and I am so happy that I did. Frank came and installed the water softener and new piping that it needed (I am doing the monthly rental). He made sure that I understood what was being done and explained everything to me upfront. I paid Water Pro $2,639.88 on 5/3/19 for the installation of a new water softener and whole house water filter. On 5/9, I called to ask for a final invoice for the job and for the documentation (user manual, warranty paperwork, etc.) for the new equipment. She said she'd email it to me. Never got it. I called again on 6/10 and she said she'd email it to me. Never got it. I called again on 7/1. No one answered but I left a message on their voicemail. Never got any type of response. I bought a TDS (total dissolved solids) tester and have tested the water coming out of my kitchen and bathroom taps over the last couple of months. The lowest count was 826 for my kitchen sink cold water, and the highest is 1463 for the hot water coming out of the bathroom sink tap. The other readings range from 926 - 1293. All these readings make my tester glow red, indicating they are far above federal standards for safe water. I am extremely disappointed in Water Pro and feel like I've been scammed. I admit my error in not getting at least three estimates before having Water Pro do the work. I didn't because when we first moved in at the end of 2017, I checked around and based on the excellent reviews on Yelp, I had Water Pro replace the reverse osmosis filter at our kitchen sink for drinking water. Frank came out and was so friendly and efficient, we were very pleased. So when it seemed we were having problems with our water softener, I called Water Pro again and Frank came out. I trusted him when he told us we needed a new water softener and gave me an estimate of $1,616.25 for the job. Later he offered to install a whole house water filter for an extra $1,023.63, but didn't give me a revised estimate in writing, or a final written invoice. He told me he had to rush off to deal with a family emergency, and of course I agreed - family first. I thought our water problems would be solved. I have no previous experience with water softeners and whole house filters, and still am not sure how to determine whether a softener is functioning properly. All I know is one is supposed to add salt every month or two. Even though I've done research online, right now looking at the new one I am not sure if it is working correctly. But I have learned enough to read a TDS tester, and surely know that any respectable contractor will leave the customer with the documentation that comes with the new equipment the customer has purchased, and will provide an accurate final invoice. Instead, what I have is a $2,639.88 charge on my credit card, dangerously high TDS levels, a water softener I am not sure is working correctly, and a contractor that has repeatedly failed to respond to my calls. read more

I had a 5-stage reverse osmosis system installed by Frank about a year ago. He was as nice, helpful, and courteous as could be. The install was done perfectly (my newly remodeled kitchen and counters were not damaged one bit). The water was insanely pure and tasted great...it tested at a 10 with a TDS meter (and is now only a 20 a year later). Pure distilled water is a 0, bottled filtered water is a 50, and regular tap is between 250-400 with a TDS meter. Unfortunately, Water Pro does not service my area anymore, so I am losing the benefits of this wonderful company. They are truly a FAMILY business though, so the parting was handled with the utmost respect and care as they helped me with the purchase of my own system. I was renting their system (at a lower price than any other company could offer, I might add), but it now made sense for me to purchase my own system. Get this...although I am no longer a customer of theirs, Frank STILL answers my calls and guides me through every question I have about what to buy, how to install, how to change a filter, etc. If you live in the area that Water Pro services, this is the company to do business with! I had quotes from the top 3 names in ventura after having a horrible experience with the last water softener company. We won't go pointing fingers at them. After reviewing all the quotes and the options I decided to go with water pro because they seemed to be the most knowledgeable and accommodating to my needs for my family, as their skin is very sensitive to hard water. They brought out the top of the line system and also the 5 stage RO system. Frank was very knowledgeable and installed the unit in the corner of the garage very careful to not take up too much space. Sure this was a little extra work but it shows this company goes the extra mile with the finished product in mind. He made one small hole for the drain line and hooked everything up very neat. He tested everything for leaks and then went on to install the RO under the kitchen sink. The entire install only took a couple of hours but there were zero issues and this is a family owned company. I felt very safe with them in my home I even left him there to go get something to eat. I would recommend this company to all of my family and friends. I feel your not just a customer to this company you are also part of their family. A lot more than I can say for some of the other options you have in the county.
