Unfortunately the contractor decided to place the gas line and valve to the pit within the masonry work, leaving no way to access the line should the need arise. Flash forward to about a week and a half ago, and the valve in my backyard fire pit became stripped and was no longer opening or closing with they key. I am a DIY guy 95% of the time, but I am not about to go messing around with a gas line, so I called a local fire place shop to ask about repairs. They told me the job required a plumber and recommended Lloyd's Plumbing service. I called Lloyd's, left a message and... never heard back. After a couple days I searched on my own and found Gallegos Plumbing. I called them and asked about an estimate. The gentleman told me there was no charge to have someone come out I had an appointment scheduled for the next day. The communication throughout the entire process was spectacular. Within a couple minutes of hanging up the phone, I had already received an email and text confirming my pending appointment, and even had a reminder email and text the next day. Bill Jeffries was the gentleman who came to my house. He called me to let me know he was on his way and also asked me about the issue I was having with my fire pit so he could be as prepared as possible. He showed up on time and was very friendly. He took a look at my fire pit, spent time answering my questions, and walked me through three different solutions that could work. He was honest and transparent about the estimated costs for each potential solution, which I appreciated. But seeing the concerned look on my face, knowing that I was looking at a higher cost than expected due to how my fire pit was built, Bill offered a fourth solution that I could try myself, and walked me through how he would do it. In my experience, this just doesn't happen these days. Bill was genuinely interested in helping me figure out my problem and not just looking to make some money. After 30 minutes of his time, he gave me his card, shook my hand, told me to call if I needed anything, and bid me a good afternoon. I was left with no charge for the time or the visit, and a potential solution to my problem that I can try myself for the cost of a few tools and an afternoon. Gallegos Plumbing came through huge, and I feel that their service and expertise is second to none. Bill was extremely professional, friendly, and listened to me. I will most certainly be calling Gallegos Plumbing in the future for all my my plumbing needs, as mine was a great first experience. I am glad I found them, and I would recommend them to anyone needing plumbing service in their home. It's hard to find good, honest, hard-working businesses these days who put their customers first, but Gallegos Plumbing is one of those few. Highly recommended, and I can't say thank you enough.

A few years ago I used Pro Solutions and Jerry came out for a water pressure issue that impacted our sinks and shower. Jerry was thoughtful and a good communicator on the issue. He fixed the issue immediately and that experience stuck with us. Fast forward to this week, we used them again. Thankfully, no emergencies but I had one toilet needing a tweak and needed hardware changed in one of my bathrooms for the shower and sink that was long overdue. Even though my request wasn't an emergency, Jerry offered to come out within hours of my request to fix everything and was communicative even late into the night (when my toilet started acting up so I frantically messaged them) talk about stellar availability and service. Next day I had Jerry at my door, he was punctual, professional and did a great job of explaining everything so that I could understand what needed to be done, the pricing, and options for the replacement pieces. It was all a seamless and easy process. Jerry was also quick and efficient which was another bonus. What gives this company extra brownie points in my books though is their honesty...To elaborate, I had partially fixed the issue with my toilet before Jerry came but there was still something slightly off about the water levels... after telling Jerry he was able to tweak the part that I didn't know how to fix and literally in seconds, he had the issue resolved. Given what a quick fix it was and that he was already out to help with other plumbing issues, he didn't charge me for the toilet fix. Little things like that go a long way because any other plumber would've likely charged me just for even touching it/assessing it. That shows me that they care about their long-term business and customers, so they aren't out to make a quick buck. Honest, hardworking people are the kind of businesses I'll always go back to for repairs and projects. Two separate experiences and I was a happy customer both times. He arrived right on time, started by scoping the sewer from an existing cleanout, and clearly explained what he was seeing and what it meant--step by step--so we felt informed the entire time. What really impressed me was how thorough and persistent he was. He continued the inspection from the front of the house where the cleanout was extremely difficult to locate. When he couldn't find it easily, he went through the toilet, pinpointed the cleanout location, found that it was buried underground, uncovered it, opened it, and ran the camera through that line to make sure there were no root issues or hidden problems. He didn't stop there. He also opened a sealed cleanout and ran the camera through that side as well, just to confirm the other portion of the house didn't have roots or any concerns. That level of detail and effort gave me a lot of confidence in the condition of the sewer lines. I was more than pleased with Matt's work--professional, knowledgeable, and truly thorough. But when we needed to change out an old bathroom vanity for a new one, we knew we had to get serious about it. And if you hire a plumber to do the work, which DOES involve some plumbing, then it costs way more. I resigned myself to the search and literally just contacted the most popular handyman service in my town based on Yelp reviews. Guess what? thank goodness I did! 805's Handyman (NOT to be confused with "805 Handyman") responded right away--even though it was a Sunday and the World Cup games were on. I uploaded pics, sent in the details, got an estimate, and made an appointment. On the day of, a nice truck drove up with the logo painted proudly on the side (not a guy in a fancy sports car, like handyman #9). Two sturdy guys came in and got down to business right away--no fuss, all smiles, and dare I say it? Like they loved what they do. (Unlike handyman #7 who was a former engineer and complained the whole time, even refusing to do some tasks!) Long story shorter, the bathroom vanity switcheroo turned out to be bigger and messier project than expected. It ended up involving some retiling, grouting, electrical adjustments, alterations to trim, painting--and the plumbing bits and installation and removal. The workers were quiet, helpful, communicated the whole time and were just generally old-school excellent (unlike handyman #4, who was nice, but got everything crooked and a bit wonky, bless his heart). The 805's Handyman workers did ALL the plumbing/installing/electrical/tile work/painting--the whole shebang. And the end result is a sweet transformation for our upstairs bath (I also asked them to take care of a few more items on my to-do list, which they did quickly and again, with smiles). The whole thing was very gratifying. So much so, that the next time something in our house needs fixing, I will actually look forward to hiring 805's Handyman again. We're lucky to have them in the Ventura area and they are popular on Yelp for very good reasons.

I swear Dean is the most patient (no pressure) sales guy I've ever met. Yo say he is thorough is an understatement. He carefully looks at all information available from the types of systems to the pros and cons of each and tailors them to the individual's requirements. The best part is he doesn't oversell you on things you don't need. In my case I wanted a system to eventually be ready for an electric car. Dean wisely advised not to buy the extra pieces now when they would be of no value to me, but ensured my system would be ready for upgrades when I was ready. Since our initial install we have upgraded our system on 3 occasions, each time carefully planned out to maximize the value of the equipment and to get the best bang for the buck. I called Jerry Rous Plumbing based on a word of mouth recommendation, and I'm so glad I did. Even though it was late at night, Jerry called me back right away (I didn't expect to hear from him till the morning) and gave me advice on a temporary fix to get my family through the night. He came out first thing next morning and inspected my line, then showed me exactly where the problem was. He even showed me on the camera monitor what was causing it and gave me several repair options, both temporary and permanent, and even diy options if I wanted to save a few bucks. I've never met a more honest plumber. Truly a good guy who isn't out to gouge you. He also inspected the entire line and showed me where other problems may potentially occur so I could take that all into account when deciding on a repair path. In the end, I had him take care of the problem temporarily, since he has much more advanced tools than I as a homeowner have and could therefore do a much better job, and when I decide on a permanent repair path, I will definitely have Jerry Rous Plumbing do the work.
