A few years ago I used Pro Solutions and Jerry came out for a water pressure issue that impacted our sinks and shower. Jerry was thoughtful and a good communicator on the issue. He fixed the issue immediately and that experience stuck with us. Fast forward to this week, we used them again. Thankfully, no emergencies but I had one toilet needing a tweak and needed hardware changed in one of my bathrooms for the shower and sink that was long overdue. Even though my request wasn't an emergency, Jerry offered to come out within hours of my request to fix everything and was communicative even late into the night (when my toilet started acting up so I frantically messaged them) talk about stellar availability and service. Unfortunately the contractor decided to place the gas line and valve to the pit within the masonry work, leaving no way to access the line should the need arise. Flash forward to about a week and a half ago, and the valve in my backyard fire pit became stripped and was no longer opening or closing with they key. I am a DIY guy 95% of the time, but I am not about to go messing around with a gas line, so I called a local fire place shop to ask about repairs. They told me the job required a plumber and recommended Lloyd's Plumbing service. I called Lloyd's, left a message and... never heard back. After a couple days I searched on my own and found Gallegos Plumbing. I called them and asked about an estimate. The gentleman told me there was no charge to have someone come out I had an appointment scheduled for the next day. The communication throughout the entire process was spectacular. Within a couple minutes of hanging up the phone, I had already received an email and text confirming my pending appointment, and even had a reminder email and text the next day. Bill Jeffries was the gentleman who came to my house. He called me to let me know he was on his way and also asked me about the issue I was having with my fire pit so he could be as prepared as possible. He showed up on time and was very friendly. He took a look at my fire pit, spent time answering my questions, and walked me through three different solutions that could work. He was honest and transparent about the estimated costs for each potential solution, which I appreciated. But seeing the concerned look on my face, knowing that I was looking at a higher cost than expected due to how my fire pit was built, Bill offered a fourth solution that I could try myself, and walked me through how he would do it. In my experience, this just doesn't happen these days. Bill was genuinely interested in helping me figure out my problem and not just looking to make some money. After 30 minutes of his time, he gave me his card, shook my hand, told me to call if I needed anything, and bid me a good afternoon. I was left with no charge for the time or the visit, and a potential solution to my problem that I can try myself for the cost of a few tools and an afternoon. Gallegos Plumbing came through huge, and I feel that their service and expertise is second to none. Bill was extremely professional, friendly, and listened to me. I will most certainly be calling Gallegos Plumbing in the future for all my my plumbing needs, as mine was a great first experience. I contacted Jorge and hired him last month to replace a well pressure tank that had failed. I asked…read morehim if there were any parts that were needed to install it properly and he said that he would bring them. He showed up and did install the tank (had to go to a local hardware store since he didn't have 1" PVC pipe, which was suspicious since it's standard for pressure tanks that hold 52 gallons) but did not install the necessary Tee junction that allows the tank to maintain a safe pressure from the holding tank and regulate the PSI of the water entering the house. So I have had to buy those parts (they are expensive!) and hire a different plumber to install it properly since it was done unsafely and would also cancel the warranty for my new tank. Recently the work he did 2 wk ago failed and he never provided me with a work order or receipt so that I could get my money refunded via the Yelp Guarantee. He actually put me and our property in danger so I will report him to the contractor's license board, my husband is a contractor and I am aware of how to proceed. While Jorge's price was reasonable, his work was faulty in fact I don't think he even knows how to do this work, there are youtube videos that show how to do it correctly and the local guys at the hardware store were better informed than Jorge who is the owner of the business. His work FLOODED OUR GARAGE and WAS NOT UP TO CODE, he is doing work illegally by California contractor standards. When I told him I wanted a refund and have filed a complaint against him with the state (our only protection against scam contractors), he threated me with "an attorney" which actually HELPS my case against him with the CSLB and how we decide to proceed legally. I am a Veteran which is why I selected this business (he trades on being military owned) but I now greatly regret hiring him, I not only lost my money, he put us in danger and I cannot retrieve my money via Yelp since he didn't give me any paperwork or receipt to proove he'd done the work. Another reviewer mentioned that he didn't not provide a receipt for that job either. He claims he will email it to you but he ghosts you when you try to contact him, he's unavailable and doesn't answer or return calls. I will NEVER hire another contractor via Yelp again, they seem to be scam artists. IF you decide to hire this guy, INSIST on getting a bid & receipt for all work or you have no YELP GUARANTEE, he knows hos to get out of your protection with a friendly handshake. KEEP copies of all communication and be prepared to report him to the Ca CSLB when his work fails, then take legal action to retrieve your money. Ask yourself if it's worth this hassle.

The first company that came out charged me $99 for an inspection and estimate and claimed that I needed to replace all my vents (switching from single-wall to double-wall). Pablo, however, explained that this was unnecessary -- he could redo sections and install a new cap on the roof for about a quarter of the other company's estimate. During my research, I also considered installing a tankless water heater to avoid dealing with vents altogether and obtained estimates for that option. Pablo offered to install a high-quality tankless at a reasonable price, while other companies suggested lower-quality units at equal or higher prices. I decided to accept Pablo's bid and am glad I did, because he provided excellent work. I really appreciate his reasonable pricing and straightforward approach.
