Worse, he claims my backflow device is no longer made... and a new one will cost $800. Two days later he sends me an email, asking $375 to replace some parts. Hmmm, so I checked. The entire FEBCO 765 device is only $150, dead common, and easy to buy. They also sell a full service kit (all the interior parts) for $50 ($12 if you buy from China). So everything this idiot claimed was a lie. These devices are dead simple (two plungers and a spring)... But this guy is a crook who wants to exploit his clients. People this dishonest should not have a license from the state.

I was told by the Fire Department that it is a legal requirement to have a contractors license for replacement or repairs of the backflow or to work on the system. I will be reporting this company to the contractors state license board to protect other consumers. I have reported them to the Fire Department also.
