Over all the place was nice and clean but restrooms need more TLC and attention. FOOD: Garlic Chicken Wings Good flavor seasoned well. Not spicy at all. We all like it. BBQ Beef Ribs For us this item lived up to it's hype. Extremely tender and flavorful Beef Ribs drenched with smokey sweet BBQ sauce. Presented with Corn Bread and Caramelized cripy onions. BEEF Burnt Ends Platter Very flavorful but not as good as the Ribs. The veggies in the Platter were really good. Chili Cheese Burger Well liked by the person who ordered it. Crispy Chilli Chicken Sandwich Well liked by the person who ordered it. Fries Nothing special. Fries had to be ordered separately as they are not part of your pricey Burger. Mango Lassi Mango Lassi was acceptable. Nothing extraordinary. Falooda Now this is not what Falooda is. This was a very tasty dessert. I would call it Ice Cream Tutti Fruitty. Generous portion can easily be shared. Overall the place is a good choice if you are looking for a break from traditional Desi food. Bit pricey though. bad service and overpriced food! Waited over an hour and a half for our one of the two items we ordered. The other item we ordered didn't come out for another 20 minutes. Also will like to add when we did receive food we had no utensils or napkins given to us and had to wait almost 30 minutes after our food hit the table for our server to even check on us. read more

After seeing an IG video about this place I was eager to give it a go. I love bbq and from what I was on the video everything looked really good. Videos are deceiving. My friend and I sat down in a nicely appointed space that seemed clean and spacious. We headed to the room on the left and were told that area was closed. I didn't really want to sit by the front door but was left no choice. Ok. No problem. We were handed menus and the process began. I ordered a $9 glass of watermelon juice that tasted like cucumber and my friend ordered a diet coke. We ordered our meal and waited. And waited. I would say that approximately 45 minutes later our food was delivered. Mac and cheese, collard greens and a smoked bbq beef back rib. The rib had a petroleum taste that I just couldn't get past. Most likely from improper smoking. The collards were the highlight as they were cooked perfectly and nicely seasoned. The Mac and cheese was flavorless and dry. Maybe I'll give this place another shot after a month or so but for now my quest for a great bbq joint is still going. read more

Maybe not as big as Texas, but still I'm usually never happy with most bbq places, I'm always skeptical because everyone advertises their bbq as being tender and juicy and then it ends up being dry As we walked in, the chef/owner literally stopped by and gave us an entire breakdown of the menu! Super sweet guy! We ordered short rib sandwich, chili burger, masala fries, and spicy wings. I was SHOCKED at how tender and juicy the meat was. The short rib sandwich literally had the bone slide out with little effort. The meat was juicy, tender, flavorful and their bbq sauce was perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and savory! The masala chips had a very unique flavor profile and was absolutely delicious. Even the wings tasted so different from anything I've ever tried, but still BOMB as fuck! And wings normally end up being dry, but even the wings were tender and juicy!!! Overall super impressed with this place. The wait to be seated was short. The service was lacking due to what appeared to be not enough staff. The wait for our order was about 45 min. We ordered the super bbq platter with an offering of all of their proteins and a few sides. We had the Mac and cheese, greens, cornbread and some fries. As far as Barbecue goes I've had better but this wasn't terrible. The best protein was the beef ribs. The winner of the sides was the cornbread, very tasty! The prices weren't outrageous and as a table of 4 we left with plenty of leftovers. My main critique is the chef needs to define the flavors more or offer a variety of different sauces. They should also place paper towels on the table as the small napkins were annoying while consuming such a messy meal. I'd try this place again just not now. First off-food was great. No complaint there. Server was nice and attentive. The main issue was the cost and how it was handled. Ordered a Cajun burger which was $17. $17 for a burger with just some sauce on it is ridiculous, even with current prices. No sides. A regular burger is $11 so you charge basically $6 for a bit of sauce? 18% tip was automatically applied which is aggressive. You aren't owed tip, let the customer decide to give you tip. My experience isn't everyone's experience. I've lived in NC and TX for at least two years each. Thus, I've had BBQ from popular states. I've also had TX style BBQ in NJ that was as close to TX as I can get. Thus, the potential exists. After watching an IG video about Addy's, I was excited to make the the hour trip to check it out. Needless to say, it was a disappointing experience and not worth the $43 for one person (bottled water and sparkling water). I'm sure there are good things on the menu. On this day for me, it was a bad dining experience. I politely explained this to Addy. I didn't ask for a discount or a refund. I chalked it up to a bad eating experience. My hard earned money could've been spent on a different restaurant. I ordered the mac-n- cheese, because my server wasn't sure if the broccoli mac-n-cheese ($5 more) was available. I also decided on the Juicy Lucy. The food took a while to come out. The first batch of mac-n-cheese was bland after tasting from the middle. Maybe 4 bites later, I asked for a to-go container. I planned to season it at home. Addy stopped by to ask about the dish. I explained politely that "It tasted okay. Just cheese and noodles w/o seasoning." To his credit and w/o asking, my server told me Addy was making a replacement. According to Addy, his apprentice chef didn't follow whatever standards were set. The second batch was seasoned. Eventually, the Juicy Lucy arrived. Addy stopped by to ask about this dish. It was listed as served medium on the menu but it was overcooked and dry. Also, the fresh cut fries were soggy and room temperature. If the burger took 30 minutes, there's no reason for stale fries. It was a plain burger swimming in BBQ sauce with cheese, cucumbers and onions for flavor. I may have eaten 1/3 before I realized it wasn't worth the effort. I don't like wasting food, since up to 40% of a landfill is food. The 2 versions of mac-n-cheese came with me, but the burger and fries were headed for the landfill. I'll end where I began. My experience isn't everyone's experience. I think Addy should figure it out. Why is McDonald's a good restaurant to many? They serve consistency. It's common for restaurants to respond to reviews with "Come back and we'll make it right." It is not necessary. The person trying a new restaurant shouldn't have to come back for a do-over. Why not strive for better consistency. I'm happy I didn't take my foodie female friend with me on a date. I definitely would've been annoyed that I potentially could've spent $100 for a bad experience. read more

Love supporting Halal businesses, especially when the food is fresh, hot, and delicious. You might balk at the prices but the presentation alone is enough to make you say "WOW, worth the price of admission". Aside from the smoke from sizzling dishes filling the room and making it hard to breathe (all part of the experience though right?), the clean and fancier looking interior makes this an unpretentious but slightly classier affair than most Halal restaurants. "BBQ Short Ribs": already dreaming about the next time I come back for these. Perfectly meaty, fatty, and drenched in delicious sauce. For a kick, I might ask them to make these with their "atomic" sauce. The cornbread on the side is crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside; they look like gold and they taste just as rich. "Brisket": very oily, but well made. I would've liked more flavor, though the hollandaise like sauce on the side was great for a dip. I loved the roasted veggies, but I think the brisket in the sandwich form would've been superior because the coleslaw is needed for balance. "Blackened Cajun Burger": LOVED IT, now one of my favorite burgers. Some of the other stuffed burgers on the menu are just too meaty. This one had a rich smoky, Cajun flavor and was grilled to perfection. "Curly Fries": generous portion and just the right amount of frying, could've used a little more seasoning. "Wings": garlic wings were like chicken Alfredo. The "atomic" sauce was probably the best, a slightly spicier BBQ sauce. Overall I thought the wings could've been a little crispier. "Chicken Tikka Mac n Cheese": the Mac n cheese is really well made, but this ended up being mostly the chicken tikka. Honestly, if you come here and eat the desi dishes (like the "Chicken Mikakshi", which is basically off brand tandoori chicken) you're doing yourself a disservice. Second time here today. The kulfi falooda we tried today was really good. At first I was not sure if this was going to be worth the 9$ but it is actually a large size cup that will fill two people easily. There's lots of kulfi, jelly, roohafza, pistachios, vermicelli and basil seeds that make this falooda taste amazing. We've tried the mac and cheese and the juicy Lucy as well and both were great options. This is now a fan favorite in our house. read more

Amazing AMAZING food! Chef Addy is a phenomenal chef with incredibly unique flavor creations! Formerly located in Teaneck, Addy's BBQ is now open in Edison, NJ and the food has gotten even better than before! While everything on the menu is very good, the standout dish in my opinion is the Chicken Mishkaki. It arrives to your table sizzling and bursting with sweet spicy tangy flavors that will leave you wanting more! And please, don't leave without trying their Mac and cheese. I can't tell you how sad I was when Teaneck closed because that meant losing access to this insane mac and cheese! I'm thrilled it's back in my life! Food usually was good, incredibly mediocre this time. Came in as a family of 4 for iftar-- we ordered at 6:30, so that our food would come in time for iftar. Right before we arrived, they called us and told us the food would come at 7:30 PM. I don't understand what was the point of us calling ahead and being confirmed when they wouldn't meet that anyways. While eating, we wanted to order another dish of wings, but the waiter told us the chef would not be taking orders for the next 45 MINUTES. The restaurant wasn't even close to full-- only four other tables were full with very small groups and a couple sitting together. They clearly need more staff. The food was also pretty mediocre. Steak had blood even though we asked for medium well, and we had to send it back. Wouldn't recommend if you're looking for an iftar spot. read more

Please don't waste your time here. I came here a couple months ago and the food was good. I decided to come again with my family and it was the worst experience ever. The service was terrible. It took so long to get someone to take our order, and then some of the food came before we even had plates or cutlery, which also took long to get. It looked like barely anyone was working at the restaurant. They didn't have ANY steak, briskets, or burnt ends, which is ridiculous since this is a BBQ restaurant. We got the only BBQ available, which was the ribs, and then some appetizers and chicken. All of the food was good except for the bbq ribs, which tasted and smelled strange and felt like they were not fresh. We asked the waiter to take the ribs back but he brought out the owner who proceeded to make a big scene. The owner didn't listen to what we said at all and was extremely confrontational. He proceeded to call the POLICE on us and didn't even come out to speak with us and resolve the issue. Horrible attitude and service at this place. We definitely won't be back. read more
