I stopped into this restaurant to get dinner with a friend. When I arrived I parked in the plaza lot. I walked in and was greeted and sat. I was served by some amazing servers! We had: Strawberry Lemonade 1/2 Dozen Fresh Oysters Calamari Basket Shrimp, Lobster Tail, Mussels, Snow Crab, Scallops Cap't Loui Sauce Beignets and ice cream My favorite was the dessert of course and the Calamariwas well seasoned! All in all a good experience!

My goddaughter and I visited this place, and we had a fantastic experience. The seafood was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. We ordered a seafood boil with snow crab legs, shrimp, mussels, and potatoes, and every bite was delicious. The Cajun seasoning had just the right amount of flavor and spice, making the entire meal incredibly satisfying. The atmosphere was fun and welcoming, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. We also enjoyed the drinks, which were refreshing and complemented the meal perfectly. If you're looking for great seafood in the Edison area, I highly recommend Cap't Loui. Great food, great service, and a great experience overall. We'll definitely be back!

I love the capt loui chain and love to go to one every chance I get. The capt loui sauce is so garlicky and flavorful and the Edison location might just be my favorite one I've ever tried! The waiters are very nice and attentive and my favorite part is the outdoor sinks after devouring the meal with our hands. They provide things like hair ties and lemon to help remove the smell on your hands. The location is huge compared to the Fort Lee, I wish it was closer to me so I could go more often. Would love to come back when I'm in the area!

The best seafood boil in the area now! The flavor of their Capt Loui sauce is so addicting. You can get it in different spice levels. I've tried hot and medium, and prefer the hot but my other half can't handle it! I also find their lunch prices a really great deal. You pretty much get a half pound of 2 items for the price of like one half pound at dinner time and it comes with garlic noodles. Get the garlic noodles and DIP them in that sauce! My faves are the shrimp with head on (get the juice inside the head!), and the clams. The scallop ended up a little overcooked when they cook it in the same bag as other types of seafood. Snow crab legs are excellent too if you want to drop a little more. Also, they have some fried baskets which was great for my kids! Win win.

My husband and I decided to give this place a try after many of our friends said great things. We arrived at 5 PM on a Friday and the restaurant was pretty empty. However, by 5:30 it was absolutely packed. I would highly recommend making a reservation or coming early like we did. Let me start off by saying this is not a cheap date night, haha. With the seafood we picked it roughly cost $160 for a 3 lb bag with 2 Cap't Loui coolers. One mistake we made was picking 1/2 a pound of clams. Unlike mussels that come on the half shell clams come full shell which weighs much more. Additionally, some of the clams didn't open up which made them unsafe to eat. The other seafood choices we picked were snow crab, shrimp head on, mussels, and scallops with the Mild Cap't Loui sauce. Sides were sausages and broccoli The 3 lb boil only comes with 1 potato and 1 corn on the cob. I wish it came with 2 that way its even across each person. The mild had a tiny bit of a kick but was super garlicky and flavorful. I love garlic so it was the perfect amount. But I could see for people who aren't fans of garlic not being a fan. FYI, there is complimentary mouth wash in the bathroom! Such a plus. All the seafood was cooked to perfection, nothing was overcooked. We will definitely be coming back again if we want to splurge on date night.

I've visited this place twice now, and I have to say, the seafood boil is truly special. It's so delicious that it keeps bringing me back for more. The service is wonderful, though it can get quite busy, so making a reservation is definitely a good idea. While it is on the pricier side, I think it's well worth it at Cap't Loui. The medium spicy option is quite spicy--I know my spice levels!

I went back to Cap't Loui tonight and it was everything I ever needed. I got lucky and found parking right away so it was a good start. The service was quick and the food came out hot and fresh. We got 5lbs of food. Head off shrimp (2) and 1 pound of crab legs, mussels, and calamari. It came with 3 free sides. We did double fries and broccoli. Everything was so good. We did medium cap't Loui sauce and it has a kick so if you can't handle spice, stick with mild. It was delicious. The server came over to check to make sure everything was good a few times and we really just enjoyed the food and the experience. No complaints here. Can't wait to go back.

It was busy we went on saturday evening. Food was delicious. I feel like it was overpriced for such a small portion. We ordered the clam chowder soup, 3 lbs seafood deal and 2lbs seafood deal. Got shirley temples for drink. My friend got garlic bread which she didnt like but she also got other non seafood since she was allergic to it. The decor they had was really pretty. The servers were friendly as well.

I've been counting days for this place to open. This is their grand opening weekend and there is a free snow crab with email signup promo for the weekend. If you've been to a seafood boil before, you'll know what to expect. You choose your seafood, sauce and sides. It's all mixed into a bag. We ordered the shrimp and crawfish and potatoes. The medium spice level is tolerable for me, but maybe it would have been more enjoyable a notch down. It's more like medium high. Hubby said it was the right level for him. The sauce flavor was on point. We chose the capt loui sauce and it was flavorful. The shrimp was large and meaty! The snow crab was also meaty. Crawfish was not my fave though. It was small and it didnt taste like anything.

The scallops, shrimp head on, crab legs medium sauce and garlic noodles are my fav!!!!!!! You can also ask for sauce on the side to dip it's so good here the only downside is the parking the complex is packed!! But all the food around there is very good

Bang for buck!! We got pick 4 lbs and get 3 free sides, cap't loui sauce on medium heat. It was the perfect amount of spicy and the seafood was fresh. Service was friendly and fast, lots of servers bringing out food and gloves and utensils. The funnel cake fries are delicious, light texture and sugary. The staff sang happy birthday to at least 10 different tables while we were there, so fun!!

What really stood out to me was the presentation. The plating is decorative and gives upscale, fine dining vibes, which makes the whole brunch feel elevated rather than just casual. The atmosphere is one of my favorite parts. It has a cute café-style brunch vibe with an airy, light, and inviting decor. It feels relaxed but still aesthetically put together. The service was also excellent--our server was very attentive and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. I also liked that they offer mocktails and allow BYOB for alcohol, which gives you flexibility depending on your preference. Now, just to be real--this place is popular, so expect a wait. It can get crowded and a bit tight inside, especially during peak brunch hours. Parking is also something to plan for since there's limited space (the lot only fits about four cars), so you'll likely need to find street parking. Overall, I definitely recommend Blossom Brunch. The food, vibe, and service are all on point. Honestly, they're doing so well that I hope they expand soon--it's clearly a spot that's in demand and could benefit from more space.

The pancakes were definitely the highlight of the meal. We ordered the sampler sizes of the Tres Leches, Fruity Pebbles, and Banana Pudding pancakes. Out of the three, the Fruity Pebbles pancakes were by far the best, flavorful, fun, and wellbalanced. The Tres Leches pancakes, while good in concept, were overwhelmingly sweet. The Banana Pudding pancakes, however, were enjoyable and had a nice balance of flavor. For savory dishes, the Crab Cake Benedict was excellent and full of flavor. Unfortunately, the Chicken & Waffles Benedict did not meet expectations. The chicken lacked seasoning and crispiness, making the dish taste bland overall. I was not a fan of that particular entrée. On the other hand, the regular Chicken & Waffles dish was much better and came with three wings coated in a tasty hot honey sauce. The service and hospitality, however, left a lot to be desired. Although our waiter was kind , the timing of food was lacking. Also they did forget to give us utensils and we had to ask when one of the dishes arrived (because they didn't all arrive at the same time ) . Our table of four initially received only three drinks, leaving one person waiting an additional five minutes for theirs. The food was brought out one dish at a time rather than together, which disrupted the dining experience. The last dish to arrive, the Chicken & Waffles and Eggs Benedict ,came out so late that the rest of the table had already nearly finished eating. Overall, while some of the food items stood out positively, the lack of coordination and attentiveness in service negatively impacted the overall experience.
