K-BBQ always a yes for me!! We came here for Thanksgiving and it was cool since no dishes needed to be cleaned, no groceries, no cooking, no prepping... sometimes you just need to take a break. It wasn't crowded at all when we came at 1pm. We had a party of 6 and the booth fit us comfortably. On a holiday, each person was $31.95. If you wanted to upgrade to the premium which had the waygu and more it was an additional $20 and that means each person would need to pay the same price so we opted out of the premium and it was a great choice since everything was delicious. So you get to select 4 meats at a time and then your sides. And of course the complimentary items like Kimchi, Radish, their own style of Mashed Potaotes. My favorites: - Pork belly (all different flavors) - for the plain pork belly dip it in the sesame sauce and salt so yum - Bulgogi - Shrimp with the heads Sides: - Japchae - Corn Cheese - make sure to heat it up on the grill before eating - don't make my mistake lol - I love steamed egg and they didn't have it so that's why they didn't get 5 stars from me - Of course white rice Dessert was the Hotteok - really good! Note: You cook your meats (not like Cast Iron which I prefer who cook it for you) and each time our 4 meats are done they would give us a new pan to grill. Be careful with the carbs... you easily can get full. Enjoy your meal ours was yummy and hit the spot.

Good food and a good deal, could almost just leave it at that. I'm usually not a fan of AYCE because I feel I'm subsidizing people that can eat a lot in a sitting, because I sure can't! But for the strong variety of things you can get and for the quality for this price is pretty fantastic. I mean you can easily spend $20 or so on a katsu or fried shrimp dish alone in restaurants. With that said, I only wished the batter on their fried things, such as their KFC and the fish katsu, was a bit lighter and thinner. But not like they're being weighted and charged by the ounce, so whatever. The thinly sliced brisket and bulgogi were my favorite choices. The banchans were all pretty solid, especially considering that a lot of AYCE places sometimes neglect having any, and they even have Korean-style potato salad (mashed potato salad). The daengjang jjigae was legit and the double dragon shrimps are hopefully here to stay. The sauce for KFC is good, but I feel proper Korean fried chicken should have a thin batter and double-fried, which unintuitively makes it less greasy (this wasn't oily, but did have a more fast-food style batter). It was pretty crunchy though so honestly just a preference. Kimchi fried rice was good. Fish tempura was a bit dry, but was a solid piece of white fish. Hotteok came out piping hot and fresh. Our server was pretty good as well. We didn't get the premium upgrade this time around, but the meat selection did seem worth it if you're picky about your meat and what you'd pay elsewhere for a serving of a similar cut and quality. That said, I wish they added some premium sides to the premium selection, such as gyeranjjim (steamed egg), naengmyun, and/or kimchi jjigae. But we're nitpicking here with how many things there is to eat! Overall, I'd probably return when I get the chance.

Current offering of Double dragon (fried shrimp).. it's good.

We came here the other night. The food is great -- delicious. The service was pretty good, but can be improved. Reasonably priced. Sometimes, they forget your order. I did like how they serve based on rounds so you aren't over ordering. The place seems somewhat disorganized, but overall there's a lot of space between each table. Seems either understaffed or disorganized. The ambiance seems somewhat dark and cold looking compared to other Korean barbecue spots I've been to. Price wise -- the regular dinner menu is just fine. Plenty of options. I have been to the Las Vegas location and there were more offerings than this spot, but this spot is still very reasonably priced when it comes to the regular dinner menu. We really liked the: Spicy Samgyubsal - nice cut. I like it! Honey chicken - we love this!! spicy calamari - I actually liked this at this location than the one I had in LV. soondooboo soup - great! I gotta have my soup. corn cheese - you gotta have this as a dip. K-Gochujang Beef Belly -- really tasty, we preferred this over the premium chadol because of the flavor. I wouldn't order the Korean fried chicken again though. It was too doughy. Calamari rings and double dragon (new offering) were good fried foods, but I get it... when you go to a buffet, the rule is to not eat rice, starch, or fried foods. The food was good and we wish we got to try more, but we were full by round 3. In the end, I would come back for the food.

Wow, one of my favorite Korean BBQ spots in Jersey. Delicious fresh food with unique seasonings and glazes to make each dish feel unique. Classy ambiance and very stylish with comfortable booths, range hoods over table top grills to prevent smoke and most of all excellent A+ service. Already looking forward to my next visit. Pro tip - bring a group, you won't be disappointed!

    The Capri drinks were yummy

First time dining here, our server was Keayshawn G he was informative , patient ,friendly, attentive and came with great recommendations!! Enjoyable and tasty food would absolutely come back and try other options and some of the fav!! Restroom was clean ambiance was very nice we went after 6pm on Monday and the place filled up not even a hour after. Some water droplets trails on the floor I noticed walking back from the restroom and was still there after my partner went to the restroom before we left, I was surprised because we went at two completely different times and he said " I almost slipped on water"

I love Korean BBQ and couldn't wait to try this restaurant! When I arrived and I parked in the lot for the plaza. I walked into a nice restaurant. Jade was my server and she was great. This spot is BYOB. I ordered: Zero proof Lemon Capri Blueberry mint lemonade Glass Noodles Korean Fried Chicken Premium Marbling marinated short rib Wagyu Pollo Asado Cajun shrimp I loved the food and the Korean Fried Chicken and the short rib was my favorite! All in all I had a great experience!

I'm a big fan of AYCE KBBQ but I think this place fell short compared to what I'm used to. Banchans were nothing special. Having to pay additional $20 for premium menu was not really worth it when there was maybe only 3 things that were worth it (long bone short rib steak, premium wagyu, center cut short rib) Everything else was overwhelming because there's so many options. Service was also pretty slow considering it was not crowded and there wasn't many people. We went around 3pm on a weekday. We found ourselves having to wait around for the grill to be changed. Overall, I don't think I'd go back. I feel like there are better KBBQ in the area.

Went here for lunch with friends. Tables are great for large groups and there's so many options on their menu. We ordered all the sides they had available I really enjoyed the kimchi fried rice and the bim bim bop paired with all the proteins we got. From the garlic chicken, bulgogi, and steak. Everything came out reasonably fast and once cooked everything was delicious . Just make sure you have the right temp on the grill or it will take a while. Plenty of parking and there's so much going on around the restaurant. So if you're in the area and are really hungry, you won't be disappointed if you stop here at Gen's.

Good quality meat and diversity of options. When you sit down, they tell you to start with a round of appetizers, but that's optional- you can (and should) start ordering meat right away. Something interesting I didn't expect is the thinness of some of the meats, e.g. the rolls of beef pictured below (along the lines of what you would expect at hotpot). They cook faster and taste good though, so no complaints there. Service seemed a bit touch and go. It was a bit hard to get our server's attention, even though the place was definitely not busy when we were there. Perhaps a bit of growing pains due to it being a fairly new/revamped restaurant.

I think this is newly opened. Place is clean and spacious. Alot of tables. When we dine during lunch there is only one server which makes it slow but service is good. Meats and cooked foods are delicious. Restroom is clean. High chair seen. Spacious parking space.

Overall experience is just ok, nothing special to rave about. This place hasn't been open for all that long so we purposefully waited a bit before going. Upon arriving on a Friday night, we were seated immediately. I was surprised that it wasn't all that busy as I'm used to new places being packed. The waiter explained to us how there were 2 menu options for all you can eat; the regular dinner for around $30 or for an additional $20, there was a deluxe menu with higher quality meats like bone in rb and wagyu. Since this was our first time, we opted for the regular dinner because my thought process was, if a place isn't at least decent for the regular price, i would not pay for deluxe. When ordering, you were only allowed to order 4 meats and 2 appetizers at a time. We thought that would be ok but when they brought out the meats, the portion size was so small that we thought they should of allowed us to order more. The meat flavorings weren't anything special compared to other buffet places. We were excited to see that they had korean fried chicken as one of the appetizers but when it came out, we were very disappointed. Pieces were small and overly coated with sauce, not to mention that a lof of the pieces were nothing but fried breading. They also did not have the option of having lettuce to wrap the meats in which made eating just meat to be quite heavy. The only options they had were radish and rice paper but they had run out of radishes. Our waiter was very nice but in regards to service and being that they weren't all that busy, i thought it could of been better. It took a while for us to flag down our waiter to order more food and the fact that each order was so small, it really turned us off from wanting to return. Overall, not a very good experience for a place that we were super excited to try. Especially since the place it took over, Picnic Garden, was one of my favorite places. It would be nice if they had some self serve options, especially for the sides. As for ambiance, the interior is nicely decorated and clean. There are plenty of booth seats and well as big tables and the best thing was the huge exhaust system they had to pull out all the smoke. That was one thing that I appreciated. i

Very clean restaurant in a shopping plaza with plenty of parking. There's a Korean supermarket next door. Service is good, you do have to flag down the staff if you want to order more. You are limited to 4 meat dishes per round but you can order as may rounds as you want. For sure you would not leave hungry. Lunch prices are very competitive and you will find it hard to find a better value in the area. Can't even think of a real negative even if I tried.

We came for dinner on a Friday around 6pm and it wasn't too busy but was filling up by the time we left (7:30pm). The staff are super friendly and our server was attentive. We got the regular dinner but you can pay $20 extra for the premium dinner menu. The regular dinner had a huge assortment. We liked most of the things we ordered especially any of the pork belly items. Drinks are really affordable and their lemonade/flavored tea are bottomless. The place itself is huge and super spacious. Even the tables are large enough to fit a group of people. We absolutely loved this place!

A few logistical tips: while there is street parking, a public lot is conveniently located right across the street. The dining room is quite intimate with only about ten tables, and since they don't seem to take reservations, I recommend arriving early or being prepared for a wait. If you don't want to wait, they do offer takeout! Another suggestion is to browse their menu online before you arrive, the selection is extensive! We showed up without a game plan and needed several minutes just to decide because there were so many tempting choices! Luckily, our waiter was incredibly patient and helpful, answering every question we had. Once we decided, the real fun began. Every single item, and I'm not exaggerating, was phenomenal! We started with the fresh squeezed orange juice, which was sweet and perfectly portioned, along with a vanilla latte and a cappuccino. Both were classic, rich, and creamy. For the main course, we chose the "Chill + Qill It" Chilaquiles, which featured traditional corn tortillas topped with cotija cheese, avocado, pink sour cream, eggs, and your choice of protein. We also tried the Parkside Classic Sliders; the chicken was exceptionally crispy yet tender and juicy, served with eggs on a brioche bun. We opted to upgrade to the truffle fries, which were delicious! Although our sliders accidentally came with pickles, the staff was so kind and immediately offered to remake the dish or swap out the bun. Finally, we had the Grilled Chicken Egg Ranchero. It was like a breakfast version of nachos, loaded with beans, peppers, onions, an egg, those same crispy tortillas, and more of that signature pink cream! We couldn't leave without satisfying our sweet tooth, so we finished with the Cinnamon Roll French Toast. It tasted exactly like a fresh cinnamon roll, the glaze was incredible, and the bread was perfectly crisp on the outside while remaining fluffy inside. I honestly cannot wait to go back and work my way through the rest of the kitchen's creations. This restaurant is a absolute must-visit for their unique combinations and superb flavors!

Took 30 mins to get our appetizer, another 20 minutes to order our meals and then another 30 mins to get our food (no I'm not exaggerating it was a near 2 hour experience). Food was good, but when it got to us it wasn't hot and could tell it sitting under a heat lamp for a while. 2 tables got there after us and left before us. Understaffed and/or untrained. I'm really not one to leave a bad review anywhere, but this was just crazy. We finally made it here after exhausting all the nearby restaurants. The restaurant is medium in size, with pale yellow walls and cushy burgundy seats covering the dark brown floors. Framed black and white photos adorn the leftmost wall while the name of the restaurant is on the rightmost wall along with a framed painting. Finally, in the back, you can see the counter, which has a lucky cat and some plants on it, as well as a large painting of pink flowers in a pond behind it all. We ordered the following: Baby oyster omelet, which has pan fried baby oyster omelet with chives- this was delicious. We haven't had this for a while and enjoyed it a lot. Golden fried eggplant, which is lightly fried eggplant with cubes of bell peppers and onions. We all liked this dish a lot, as well. It was nicely fried. Claypot egg noodle, which has pearl noodle with minced pork, shrimp, squid, bean sprout in egg gravy. We've been looking for this entree for a while. Last time Hubs had this was 15 years ago and it was 30 years ago for me. Hubs loved this dish. Basil fish filet, which is stir fried fish filet with bell peppers, onions, basil leave and mushrooms. I thought this looked sweet and sour and was surprised it wasn't. Daughter liked it a lot and was addicted. Hubs was shocked at how flavorful it was. There were plenty of onion and peppers. There is parking in the back of the building but we managed to find a parking space in the front. It's a little tricky parking there but we managed. Service was quick and minimal. Will definitely return to try other items on the menu.

This restaurant is located in a pretty good spot on Ryders lane where it's easy to get to going north or south, being that left turns are allowed when coming from the south and from the north there's 2 entrances to turn in. Exiting is also not terrible since there's a traffic light to help you make the turns you need to get on the road. The decor is also pretty good. It's a upscale feeling interior. Plenty of parking spots outside. With this said I wondered why it was so dead inside. We had the roti canai which was tasty but too burnt on the outside. My carcinogenic pet peeve. The chicken curry it came with was tasty but too sweet. The pad thai with shrimp tasted pretty good but again it was too sweet. Do people actually want it this way? C'mon let's do better. I understand Thai food is a blend of flavors with one of them being sweet but this was too much. The drunken noodles were delicious but also (to a lesser degree than the pad thai) too sweet. On the bright side they were stir fried well, fresh tasting and the texture of the noodles was good. The service was friendly but forgot our soda order. They told me that next time I can request the sweetness level a little lower. I ordered the drunken noodles with a spicyness level of 2 on a scale of 3 and that was perfect. The stir fry was also fresh and the noodles delicious. The prices are ok. Around 17 a dish which I guess is normal post pandemic. 3.5% cc fee so cash is king to save a few bucks. I would only become a repeat customer if they don't burn or make my food too sweet next time as requested. This is really like a 3.5 star review rounded up because this area is enhanced with much needed diverse dining options.
