Came for a birthday celebration on a Monday night. Byob. The price was perfect per hour for a room that fit 6-8 people (they have various room sizes, smaller and larger). We all had a blast. The front staff were helpful and friendly from reserving, to checking us in, to helping with the mics and giving instructions. We didn't try the food, but ambiance was great. Songs were of the older pop/karaoke songs and were missing most current hits, but a clean space that didn't smell like cigarettes - to drink and sing? And plastic cups already in the room to use? Disclaimer - I did not eat anything here. However I held my birthday party with friends and family here this month and the service and ambiance was excellent. Their largest room can hold about 20 people. For a Saturday night, each hour costed $100, this was on par with the other karaoke spots in the area. The room ambiance was amazing and better than other places I've been to. The music selection was good, we had to use their YouTube feature for most songs but it was still very good and everyone had lots of fun! They let us bring our own food as it was a bday. It's a karaoke building with a very interesting entrance and parking lot. They have multiple rooms and the rooms look nice. The karaoke system is fairly easy to navigate and the mics work well. The rooms may smell like smoke but they appeared clean. Also the room has a bathroom at least the one I was in. It is BYOB and it is 100 dollars an hour so I would go with a big group. Found a new karaoke place in the Rutgers area! The facility is very modern and new. They have a good (most importantly, recent) selection of English and Chinese songs. They have small, medium, large, etc rooms. The employees speak very limited English so depending on who you get, communication can be an issue. I believe they mainly speak Mandarin. At the entrance, they request you to sign a form, basically saying if you damage anything in your room, you have to pay for it. They also charge a 20% service fee to your total. The Karaoke monitors in the room can be changed between different languages. There's also a second panel against the walls so other ppl can switch up the songs. Its BYOB so bring your own! They will provide ice buckets. They don't allow outside food or anything aside from alcohol. They have a small shelf that sells drinks and you can buy from there. You can also bring cake if you're celebrating a friend's birthday. They'll help you light it and provide candles, utensils, and plates. They didn't really assist us with much but there's a service button on the wall if you need them! All in all, a pleasant experience. read more

For someone like me who like to sing out loud and dance in a supermarket, restaurant or store when there's music playing without a care what people think, my poor boys have to endure the embarrassment. I mean, I do it all the time, lol. Having been here twice, I highly recommend this place for a fun night of singing your heart out. I first heard about this place through one of the workers there. I even got a tour of the place before it opened. With several speakers in each room and two mics available, you can sing along with a friend if you want. They have a pretty good selection of music videos that come in Chinese, Korean and English. I just wish that they have a more vast selection of American songs. Everything is control from the panels in your room. Here are a few cool features: - You can preselect your music choices so that you don't waste any time deciding. If you book a 2 hour limit, believe me when I say the time goes by quickly. You can also stop and skip to the next song if you're not feeling it. - You can choose to sing along with the artist or just the lyrics - You can choose a song and compete with your friends, there is a rating system telling you who is the better singer. - There's a button for you to press if you need assistance. I will say that it's quite pricey and it's properly due to the fact that there are no other completion around. - Mini room $50/hr (2-6 people) - Small room $60/hr (4-8 people) - Medium room $70/hr (6-12 people) - VIP room $100/hr (up to 20 people) The one major drawback is that they tack on a 20% fee even when you don't require much of their service. But coming here with a group of friends and splitting the bill helps. So put on your rock-n-roll outfit, grab a mic and give it a try, it's so much fun!! Some pros for this place: 1. Rooms are relatively clean and looks modern 2. System equipment is pretty good - control panels on multiple sides of the room and compatible with the mobile app, music and mics are loud and clear without much feed back or echoes 3. Songs are reasonably up to date Cons: 1. The price is outrageously jacked up due to lack of competition in the area, a small room on a weekend night costs a big whooping $70/hr and they do not let you redeem any dollars spent towards food or drinks like most of the other karaoke places 2. Poor air quality - a supposedly non indoor smoking allowed shop with "no smoking" signs everywhere smells absolutely like a cigarette dumpster. I don't particularly care if you allow smoking customers to smoke in the rooms but vent that sh*t out properly so other non smoking customers don't have to suffer from 2nd hand smoke 3. Tips - I don't mind tipping but why do you print a 20% tip on the bill when there was essentially no service or even interaction between us and the staffs other than checking in at the reception and asking for the bill at the end? I understand standing by is somewhat of a service but I don't think it justifies a mandatory 20% for a small group that did not order any food or drinks read more
