The ambience is really nice-- I love the 2D black and white paint art. People literally line up to go to the one like this in NYC. The food? It's a bit mediocre. Don't get me wrong-- I'll still come here over some of the better tasting spots of its kind (like tasty moment, lao wu's, etc.) because I didn't have to WAIT here. They open early on weekends and you can walk right in (for now). The xiaolongbao (soup dumplings) are not bad. The skin is a bit thicker than I like personally, but the flavor is there. The wontons in chili oil were underwhelming to me. Then they have some random dishes like pho (but it's pretty mediocre). I think they can make improvements to their menu, but there's potential here.

A medium sized venue in a strip mall complex, so plenty of free parking. Bright comic style art interior incorporating Asian culture. No frills kinda place, nothing fancy. Staff are attentive and the service was fast. We had Dumplings in Chili Oil, BBQ Pork Bun, Chicken Stir Fry Noodles, Sesame Chicken, & Coconut Lemon Tea. The food was good, but not amazing. This place is definitely more of a trending venue that you could go to once for the unique interior. Again, the food is good, absolutely no complaints, but it wasn't so memorable that I'll be rushing back or telling everyone to go there. If invited, I would happily go back though. I ordered: Passion Mango Perfume Lemon Tea Shrimp Wonton Soup Beef Noodle Soup Szechuan Shrimp Fried Rice Pepper French Fries Dry Noodles with Beef My favorite dish definitely was tve shrimp fried rice! All the dishes were actually really tasty! All in all a good experience!

Chopsticks Charm has a super cute, unique 2D cartoon style vibe that immediately stands out. Service was the real highlight, top tier even for takeout. I ordered to go, and the woman helping me was incredibly patient and kind. I showed her photos of what I was looking for, and she helped me place my order on the kiosk while offering suggestions, which made the whole experience genuinely pleasant. I also noticed dine-in guests ordering on iPads, which to me was a cool touch. Everything was packed neatly for me to take home in small cooler bags. I tried the passion fruit perfume lemon tea, which tasted very authentic, perfect for those who enjoy traditional Vietnamese tea. It wasn't bad at all, just not my preference since I lean toward sweeter, bubble tea drinks. Food wise, I had the dry noodles with beef and the shrimp stir fry with chicken. Both were okay and cooked to order, but it didn't quite hit the flavor mark for me. While I don't feel a strong pull to return, I can absolutely see others enjoying it. Great service, thoughtful experience and worth supporting if it fits your taste.

I had visited Chopsticks Charm back in January. There was a short wait as we had arrived during a lunch rush on a Saturday. The restaurant has a fun aesthetic in a 2D cartoon vibe. When we were finally seated we got a tablet to enter our order. We placed our entire order in the tablet. We got soup dumplings, bok choy, pork chop, and noodle. Everything was prepared fairly quickly. The soup dumpling was okay--the wrapper was on the thicker side. The filling to wrapper ratio was a little off for me. I really liked the pork chop. It was an okay meal.

Super cool new spot with such a fun 2D décor concept! The space is surprisingly spacious, and the menu has a lot of options to choose from. We started with the turmeric chicken wings and the pork soup dumplings, both were amazing. The dumplings were perfectly made, and the chicken was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. I also tried the passion fruit Perfume drink, which was a little too sweet for my taste, I would skip this next time. For entrées, my husband had the beef soup, and I went with the Dan Dan noodles (with the spice on the side, definitely glad I did that). The noodles were absolutely delicious, though I wish the portion size was larger since I've had bigger servings of Dan Dan noodles elsewhere. Overall, I'm so happy I stumbled upon this place! Obsessed with the vibe, loved the food, and can't wait to come back ASAP.

I understand why this went viral on TikTok - the interior design is so unique! The environment did feel a little casual, where you would walk up to the counter to order. I ordered for takeout, with the dry beef noodles. The total came out to $16 with tip. I won't say that it was the best noodles I've had... and the flavor was similar to mixed packets I've gotten from Asian grocery stores. I'm still happy I got to try this place out though!

Came across chopsticks charm on social media & then decided to actually go here for my lunch break. This restaurant is still fairly new so I'm sure they'll have so much more on their menu eventually. Menu does have a lot of pork for those who don't eat pork. I ordered a spicy cucumber salad.. I do like cucumber a lot but unfortunately the sauce was not so pleasing. It tasted more sweet, which I wasn't expecting. I didn't finish. I also order pan seared chicken dumplings, which I absolutely did like! They were soft on top but crunchy in the middle & I ordered a side of chili sauce to have it with the dumplings. I had to order the dumplings again to go. As a drink I ordered a passion fruit perfume tea & for me it didn't taste too sweet & I love how it had the passion fruit seeds to it. Very tasty! Next time I'll order the coconut perfume tea. Service was good! Owner was very sweet & waitress was kind! She has knowledge of the menu. After I walked in it got very busy so it did take time to get my check after. Ambiance was pretty cool, they way they have the restaurant set up as 2D & the design of it was amazing. Overall it was okay, I would come here to try different other items in the menu to give it a try.

Decent spot. The interior was super cute especially for content. We had gotten the soup dumplings, chicken wings, beef noodle soup and the Dan Dan noodles. The chicken wings and soup dumplings were good but nothing spectacular. But the noodles were cooked a little too well done as it was a tad bit too soft for my liking. My friend had also tried this place and she said hers was perfect and chewy. So there an inconsistency here. I would go back to try again

The decor.

This was my first time here. This place was aesthetically beautiful!! The server came out immediately to greet us, provide us with the iPad to order. She circled back to explain menu items before we ordered. The food is made to order so it took a little time, but the wait was worth it. You can take pictures and walk around the cafe as you wait. The food was flavorful and delicious. My son didn't like his ramen, but I weren't home and remixed it and he enjoyed it!! We will definitely return!!!

We were a party of 3 and really enjoyed ourselves. This place is really cute with its 2D cartoon-like decor. The food is very good - and we ate well! Service was great too. Loved this place! Will be back.

I love the decor and the food options are great! It is a bit out of the way since it is in Jersey but totally worth the travel and give it a try!

It's a cute place. The appetizers were tasty. The soup dumpling was ok. Definitely can find better dumplings in Edison. The Beef Noodle soup was in the bland side. The pork chop rice was tasty but portions are a bit small for what you're paying for. The tea and boba drinks were good. Would come back here just for the apps and drinks. The service was good. Our waitress was nice. Place is clean.

If you're in NJ and craving Hong Kong-style wonton noodle soup, head to Wonton Guy in Edison. It's a no-frills local gem tucked away in a tiny strip mall off Route 27, with a few parking spots out front and more in the back. The space is small (only 10 tables!) and nothing fancy, but the value is hard to beat. It's always busy, and after you take your first slurp of the soup, you'll get why. Service is fast, so the tables turn over quickly. I was able to grab a seat when I walked in on a Saturday evening. The menu is simple and offers 3 main options: 1.) noodle soup with toppings 2.) soup with toppings (no noodles) 3.) lo mein with toppings served with soup on the side From there, you pick your noodle type (egg, flat rice, vermicelli), as well as up to 3 toppings (wontons, dumplings, beef brisket, etc.). There are also a few side dishes like shredded pork in chili tomato sauce, deep fried fish skin, and curry fish balls. They even sell some items raw like wontons, noodles, dumplings, and sliced beef. And the best part is... the prices are very affordable! Most of the dishes are around $11-$16. My order: *Two Toppings (wonton + beef brisket) Noodle Soup [$12.75] - Where do I begin? Every single part of this meal SLAPPED. The wontons were MUMBO JUMBO and generously filled with fresh, plump shrimp that were sweet and juicy. The noodles were soft and springy. The beef brisket was SO tender with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. And the broth? Super rich, aromatic, and savory. It's made of shrimp skin, pork bone, dried flounder fish, dried shrimp, and dried monk fruit, but it doesn't taste fishy at all. Each table is stocked with condiments like vinegar, homemade chili oil, and soy sauce to customize your soup. The chili oil packs some SERIOUS HEAT, so watch out. This was hands down one of the best noodle soups I've had. I was sad when I finished it :-( *Hong Kong-style Milk Tea [$6] - I really enjoyed this! The black tea was bold and strong--almost too strong for me, but the milk balanced it out nicely. I only wish it had boba! Everything tasted authentic. Quick backstory: The owner comes from a family with GENERATIONS of experience making wontons and running noodle shops in Hong Kong. He grew up there and brought those family traditions to his own restaurants in Toronto... and now Edison. All those years of experience clearly show in his food. The broth is simmered overnight, and the wontons are freshly prepared every morning. No shortcuts here--just decades of tradition, skill, and a whole lot of love in every bowl. Ugh, I wish I lived closer because I'd be a regular. It's hard these days to find a place that REALLLLLLY delivers a memorable meal that's both tasty, reasonably priced, and served in generous portions. If you're within driving distance and debating whether it's worth the trip--DON'T! Wonton Guy is absolutely worth a visit, even if it's just once. I drove an hour to try it, and I still think about those wontons all the time... no joke LOL.

The food comes out lightning fast. Everything is very reasonably priced. Best of all, it's all delicious. I tried stuff outside of my comfort zone and I loved it all. My favorite were the pork juicy buns (soup dumplings) but the most unique thing was the pan fried noodle which was like a crispy deep fried noodle that would soften as it sat in the sauce. We were second standing outdoors waiting in this big fat long line. Immediately upon opening for the day the line nearly forced entry near stampede and this cafe was immediately packed to full occupancy of patrons with free seating. The Yelp reviews are accurate and truthful. The food is great. This is a small cafe with only approximately eight tables. I do not recommend large parties of five and greater. It is no-frills, but not exactly "hole in the wall" type that lack in aesthetics for upscale lavish atmosphere but the deficiency is resolved in the food quality. There is one sole functioning restroom in the whole business, ergo, stand in line and wait. We entered hungry in a lugubrious sense of deep sorrow, but exited hunger pangs fulfilled. When exiting upon completion of our lunch meal, there was a line that quickly formed outdoors waiting. Unfortunately, access to this cafe in Edison, NJ is by car only and there is a free parking lot that is shared with neighboring businesses located in a small shopping complex. There are no business cards, and no takeout menus available. Customer service is efficient as the staff worked methodically hustling busy to take orders and fulfillment. Our male waiter was attentive to respond to our inquiries and make suggestions based on our desires. I was able to keep the sales receipt. Price is in the rationale realm of stagflation totaling $41.75. Nota Bene: No table hibernation as the table turnover is fast pace with a line overflowing outdoors which cannot interrupt the flow. My foodie synopsis: Pork steam soup dumplings, 6 pcs, siu2 lung4 baau1, 小籠包, $8.75 Very juicy, flavorful and great. It was served piping hot. This is my favorite default dish for every visit at any Shanghainese ethnic cuisine. However, there were no serving tongs provided for this particular appetizer which is industry standard. Preserved cabbage with pork noodle soup, syut3 coi3 juk6 si1 min6, 雪菜肉絲麵 $9.50 This is a satisfying Chinese comfort food. This noodle soup was abundant with noodles, pork and chopped vegetables. It provided warmth to my very broken heart. Shanghai chicken in wine sauce, zeoi3 gai1, 醉雞, $8.95 A traditional Chinese cold appetizer, aka Chinese Drunken chicken made with Chinese Shaoxing cooking wine. It has amazing flavor and texture to be deliciously enticing. Of course, the cooking wine brings flavor to this appetizer making you want more. Shanghai pan fried U-Don noodle, soeng6 hoi2 cou1 caau2 min6, 上海粗炒面, $11.95 Abundant noodles with good consistency and it not heavily filled with grease and oil.
