I was in the area after a spa day and decided to try this spot based on the reviews, plus it was open pretty late which was a bonus. When you think of all you can eat Korean BBQ, you usually expect lower quality meat, but this place surprised me. The meat quality was actually on par with some à la carte Korean BBQ spots I've been to. I'm not too bougie to eat at K-Pot Korean BBQ & Hot Pot, but compared to K-Pot this place really blows it out of the water. My favorites were the bulgogi and the galbi, both were really flavorful. The banchan was solid, sauces were good, and the servers were attentive and helped cook without rushing you. Ventilation was also really good, which matters at places like this. Also loved that they were playing 2000s to 2010s K-pop, which is a vibe. Overall I really enjoyed it and would recommend. 7 of us were hungry and couldn't decide if we wanted K-Pot or this place. I'm still sitting at the table with my family writing this review because we may not ever go back any K-Pot again. Honestly, I was so skeptic because my daughter said that you don't cook the meat yourself here, that instead, the server will. We're so used to driving out to the city for Korean or Japanese BBQ where we pick out our cuts and cook them ourselves. However, after tonight, I've been converted. Our servers Eric and Jinju were exceptional. There was never a moment that we needed anything from the moment we were seated. Eric helped us with the menu and suggested popular cuts while Jinju left no gap in service. If Eric was away from our table, Jinju was not too far behind, and vice versa. They never hovered either. Just there when you needed them, and space when you needed it. We truly enjoyed the selection of proteins we chose, the unlimited sides, the sauces, the service, the atmosphere and the attentiveness of our servers. I'm not the biggest fan of KBBQ because honestly, when I choose to go out to eat, I am not trying to cook my own food. My friend loves this place, and since it was her birthday, I obliged. We came on a weekday and even then, there was a lot of people there. We didn't have to wait too long and got a table for 4. Although I'm still not a KBBQ convert, this is probably the best experience of that kind I've ever had. The food was good and they even have a server assisting with cooking the meat. I am not a big meat eater and since that's basically the whole point of this place, I will only be back for other celebrations with my friends. The venue is spacious and looks really nice. There's a device at the entry to do it yourself. 7 minute wait, not bad at all. It was my friends' first time at a place like this and mine at this specific place. They loved the concept, we all loved the food. There is a QR on the chopsticks wrapper to review the menu. You order 3 meat choices at a time plus sides. We got through 5: spicy bulgogi, 360 steak, pork belly, short ribs, chorizo. Plus kimchix2, rice, dumplings, and popcorn chicken. It was the perfect amount of food for us! We didn't feel at all stuffed and definitely not still hungry. I ordered a soda and they give you a cup to use at a self-serve machine that has so many options. Reminds me of the Coca-Cola factory tasting room in Atlanta but all options in one machine. Interesting KBBQ vibe place that is all you can eat! It looked like a Texas bbq style restaurant. When you walk in, there is a meat carving area where you can see workers cutting the meats into several pieces. The place was crowded over Black Friday night. We had to put our name in an electronic list located near the waiting chairs by the front. Once it was our turn, a nice young waiter explained the ordering system. There is a QR code to view the meats they can grill (there is a limit of 3 meats they grill at a time to avoid waste). It also showed an appetizer list as well. The appetizers are unlimited but beware of waste. The place has the option to order drinks and dessert for an extra charge. For the appetizers we had the kimchi, ox bone soup, vegetarian soft tofu stew, dumplings, popcorn chicken, steamed egg, japchae, and tteokbokki. I liked the dumplings, popcorn chicken, and the quantity of kimchi offered. We ended up trying the Hot Spicy Chicken, Sweet Chorizo, marinated short ribs, and spicy pork bulgogi. It pains me to leave this one star review but it was earned this evening. Our party of 3 arrived around 6pm. There was a 10-minute wait even though half the place was empty. I've been here a few previously and all was fine. Tonight was not. We had a server named Izza or Izzia or something like that. Out of the hundreds of places that I've eaten at in my lifetime, I could comfortably say that she was one of the top 3 worst waitresses ever. She was lacking energy. She clearly didn't want to be there at work and never ever cracked a smile the entire 1.5 hours that we were there. We were only allowed to order 3 items at once. Fine. There would be a long wait in between orders and she would turn the fire off our stove. When the orders arrived she would then have it sit a few minutes before she turned the fire on---as if to stall having to cook the meats for us. We only ordered 3 rounds of meats for three adults in the 1.5 hours of time that we were there. When we ordered the last round she told us that it would be out last round even though there's a 2 hour time limit and we were there just 1.5 hours. Several tables around us were already eating when e first arrived and when we left. We don't know why she gave us an attitude. We will never return. This is our go-to place when it comes to KBBQ. There are some others in the central NJ area, but none have the quality to match what Butcher offers. We love their soy-based sauce the give in the beginning and our family always get soups, egg, and dumplings for our sides. Make sure to include garlic, the lettuce wrap, and kimchi. We love the brisket and pork belly cuts, but recently have gotten into the marinated kalbi and bbuldak chicken (ask for extra cheese and sauce). I love how they've been experimenting with new cuts here and there. We also love the hospitality that we've received from Manager Song. She recognizes us and makes sure our family is well taken care of. It gives it a very homey feel full of warmth. It's the perfect place to go when you have the meat craves. Honestly, a wonderful Korean BBQ! I wasn't too certain if this was going to be a Korean BBQ place or some "pretend to be" Korean BBQ place. This is the real deal! Plenty of seating and they do take larger parties, but call ahead for that. The air was clean, which is great because any AYCE BBQ place can get smokey with the meat cooking in the open. The staff were kind and were able to answer our questions. They gave good suggestions as well. The only confusing part was we were told we could go help ourselves at a soda area, but we didn't see that. There were some other stations, but other staff told us that they'd get us those sauces, dishes, etc. Not a big deal, but it made things a little confusing when walking around the busy restaurant with staff moving left and right to help all the guests. 1 star, because of service because the food that did arrive was decent. Booked here for a birthday dinner for 15. Gave a week in advance, checked in morning of (the dinner was at 6:30), and then told them I would have 3 cancellations, asked if it was okay and they said it's no problem as I'd told them enough in advance. Put down a $150 deposit. Arrived at 6:30, and then was given trouble from the cancellations, stating I'd never mentioned them (though I'd spoken on the phone earlier to a manager). They told me I would have to pay a surcharge for the noshows. I spoke to the manager, and they said there was a miscommunication, and then our party was seated after 15 minutes of back and forth. The staff deliberately slow-rolled service, and our waitress Hazel gave us a bunch of attitude at the same time. We waited more than 25 minutes for food orders, and it felt like they were running out the time limit- which they started when we were waiting to be seated. When it came time to pay the bill, they said if even 1 person paid via card, the credit card surcharge would be applied to everyone. We offered to split it on 4 cards, they said maximum 3. We paid a third in cash, the waitress complained that the tip was too low and wanted the tip on the card (we gave a 16% tip given the treatment, and with 12 people it was still substantial). Overall, just a terrible dining experience. The prices also have gone up, and for 45 dollars without drinks (and crazy price gouging) , you don't get much food, the meat quality was eh, and the service as seen was dreadful. Butcher 360 is overrated and overpriced. When my husband and I first came here years ago, it was ~$35 a person for dinner. Now, it's $45. If they raise the price anymore, people are going to stop coming. The staff is always very friendly. However, I have a gluten allergy and mine wasn't very knowledgeable about which menu items were safe for me and not. They asked for me which I appreciated but they seemed annoyed once I asked another question or two. But they did eventually bring out a chart showing me what was and wasn't safe. As for the "gluten free" menu. Not worth it. You can essentially only eat 2 of the side options; rice and lettuce. They do have a lot of meat options so I'll give them that; pork belly, pork steak, brisket, beef intestine, and beef steak. There's absolutely 0 sauces they made gluten free which is crazyyy to me. Steamed egg? Apparently has MSG in it (which I always thought was gluten free but apparently not??). The soups have soy sauce in it and is already premade in a large tub. So for these reasons, I don't think butcher 360 was worth it at all. The meat itself was tasty. But the lack of options for people with allergies made this a bad experience. read more

I'm so sad that this restaurant didn't live up to the expectations & other reviews I had read about it. I've attempted to dine in once before so I had gotten a sneak peek of the interior - hip, sleek, and with a nice looking meat counter - it made me so excited to try the food. But when I was told that the wait was 2.5 hours at 5:30pm on a Saturday, I left with the promise that I would have to try the food one day. Returning and finally trying the food, I just wasn't that impressed. Sure, the atmosphere was great and fun and felt like a great hang out spot, but the food was lacking. The meats weren't all that special - the quality wasn't great, many were not seasoned (and if they were, pretty average) and you don't get to cook for yourself, so that's a downside. You don't get a choice in how your meat is cooked, and with the restaurant being extremely busy the staff don't take the time to lay out each piece, they kind of just take a whole pile and dump it on the grill. The saving grace for this restaurant was the banchan, getting the ability to order different soups (I love a restaurant that has tofu soup AND ox bone soup!) along with steamed egg, japchae, and a mayo-heavy green salad. While you're allowed to order as many side dishes as you want at one time, they do limit you on the amount of meat you can order at once. This proved difficult for my group, since one person didn't eat beef or pork, while another person didn't eat chicken, so being limited to a set number at once meant some people were left without food (along with waiting for the staff to cook each type of meat one at a time) so it made it quite a long dinner. Wish this restaurant had more seafood options, wish there were more options for seasoning and dipping sauces. They did the sides extremely well though! Me and my girlfriend ate here because she had a flight delay. For all you can eat we paid about $57 each after taxes and tip. I will say the service was just okay with our waiter. He didn't really seem to have much personality felt like a robot so I didn't really want to keep asking for stuff. With a long wait we were still seated fairly quick on a Friday evening. The ice cream is an additional $5 The meat wasn't the best as far as beef. I also tried the chicken and was shockingly surprised at how juicy it was. Solid AYCE KBBQ, only waited about 10 min on a Sunday around 5pm, we were 9th on the list but it moved quickly. Place is large, modern, has a bar you can use while you wait. For $40 pp it's very reasonable - has good quality meats and they will cook and cut for you. Our waiter didn't come by as often so some of the pieces needed us to rotate to avoid burning, and I wish they had moved the fully cooked pieces to a side plate - we felt rushed eating everything to avoid burning and overcooking. Sides were good - steamed egg was our favorite. Japchae comes in a very small serving so recommend getting more of those, along with radish and lettuce wraps. We also got several orders of pork belly and it's great that you can specify how many strips. We got the sweet chorizo 2 years ago and loved it but this time around, it was still good but were given way too much of it to split between two people. It was probably around 15 pieces. I came with my family late in the afternoon after a morning at turtle back zoo. There wasn't much of a crowd around 4, but I assume that the place must get crowded at night given how spacious this place is! But once you arrive, the hostess will seat you. Because I came at an odd hour between lunch and dinner cut off times, they gave me the option to choose between the two menus. I will say that the dinner option has more beef choices compared to lunch. But overall, you get most of what you'd expect from an all you can eat. There wasn't much of a banchan spread which was slightly disappointing, but again, for the the price you're paying- I get it. So we went ahead and ordered our meats and they came out nicely timed. The meats were great. Nothing particularly special or out of the world. We also got the steamed eggs and the white tofu stew. The first few sips were great, but gradually got saltier as you continued and the seasoned meats didn't help with the overload of umami. Parking is not an issue. On the website there are a list of policies which are pretty standard for AYCE. However, the protein ordering is limited to 3 types of meat at a time and you must finish those before ordering more. Not sure if this rule still applies for a larger party but for ours - we had three rounds of short rib, bulgolgi, and pork belly and were full. The marinated short rib and bulgolgi were on the sweeter side than what we were used to and the pork belly is unseasoned. However, the cuts of meat are tender and good quality. 5/5 for all the sides. All sides on the menu are included in your price. -The steamed egg is a MUST. -Non spicy tofu soup is a MUST. -Tteok-bokki only comes with literally three pieces (so don't expect a platter - this sauce was also more sweet than spicy), -crispy chicken was also good -oxtail broth had no flavor (don't recommend) -kim chi was kind of soggy and old NOW.... As the food was good - our experience was actually completely ruined by the staff and service. This was my first date with my now-boyfriend, and it couldn't have gone better. We came to Butcher 360 and everything from the food to the vibe was amazing. The brisket was definitely my favorite, but honestly, everything we tried was delicious. Our waitress actually cooked everything for us at the table, which I wasn't expecting, but it was super helpful (especially since I had no idea what I was doing). And OMG, the kimchi... I still crave it. We were seated in a semi-private room, which made the experience feel extra cozy. There was also this guy nearby who was giving major wannabe Playboi Carti energy which, weirdly enough, turned into the perfect icebreaker. If you weren't eating during the holidays, what were you doing?? Me and my crew tried this newer KBBQ spot in North Brunswick the Friday after Christmas. At 6pm. Oh lawd was there a wait!! Our party of 6 waited 85 minutes - and 2 of us waited half as long to even find a parking space. But it was 100% worth it and I'm glad we stuck it out. Read on for details: -there's an electronic waitlist. You get texted a link to see where you are in line and it refreshes in real time. You can also see how long it takes the parties ahead of you to get seated. This made the wait time more psychologically manageable. -there's a bar. Oddly enough, no one was really staffing it. Once we got someone's attention though after like 15 minutes (not kidding) the drinks made the wait more doable. We did see that later on in the evening they said no to walk ups at the bar. This is a HUGE mistake. If you have people waiting, fill them up on drinks - they'll eat less meat and spend more money. When I'm an internationally known restaurateur remember these tips. -plenty of places to sit while you wait. My mom needs knee replacements and until that day it's hard for her to stand. She was comfortably seated the entire wait. Onto the food: -You choose 3 meats, and an assortment of sides. Everything is AYCE and 3 meats is perfect for the amount of space on the grill. They cut and cook the meat for you at the table. What's great is that you can specify the portion size you want. So when we were getting full (LMAOLOLROTFL) we asked for a little more of such and such and a little less of this and that. -they have a Coke Freestyle machine. Dunno what I was more excited about - endless meats or endless Strawberry Fanta. -2 hour time limit. When we sat down at 730 we said who the devil needs 2 hours. At 930 when we Violet Beauregarded outta there we realized WE needed 2 hours. -fav items: Butcher 360, pork bulgogi, spicy sausage, steamed egg, garlic galbi Great seating, beautiful space, lively atmosphere. Our nth time visiting and it still hasn't disappointed us- they still offer high quality meats unlike other Korean BBQ places and I think this is their main draw. So hopefully, if management is seeing this, this will be bookmarked that this is what makes their customers keep coming back and pay $5-10 more than the other restos. Service is fast friendly and efficient. We were sat within 5 mins of arrival without any reservations. This was a Thursday night at 730pm and the place was still pretty full. Banchan of course is also all you can eat, drinks are priced accordingly and they have the soda dispenser where you can mix your own concoctions. Feel free to ask your server if you'd like to taste something so they don't give you the whole serving aka the beef intestines. I wanted to just try it and he just brought out 2 pieces. When we asked for more galbi but only 3 pieces since we were almost full, he obliged. Private parking lot, restrooms are clean and casual vibe. Come hungry! read more
