The food is fine. I usually split the tteokbokki with 3-4 people, and it's a decent deal. The issue is moreso with the service. I've come here a few times over the years, and I have repeatedly had problems. I typically ask for the meat on the side, and there's about a 50/50 chance it comes on top. They also messed up my order several times, and there's a chance they refuse to replace it (even if the receipt item doesn't match with what they gave me). I do not blame the cashiers or workers for this because I've ordered with several of them and had the exact same issues. This is a management-level problem. Most recently, they charged me for something I didn't order and said they were unable to do a partial refund. I told them that I didn't order the item and didn't want it, and they told me that a refund wasn't possible, so they gave me the item and a bonus soda. I appreciate the attempt to make up for it, but it just isn't enough. Why am I forced to buy something I didn't want? It also didn't even taste good. I can understand making a mistake every once in a while, but this is excessive. I won't be coming back to eat here again, and I can't recommend this place to anyone. read more

I enjoyed the dumplings, beef, and vegetables in the dish, but felt like the dish was not well balanced. Thee rice cakes are good, but nothing amazing and overall occupy majority of the dish, so the flavor quickly gets repetitive and plain. Though it was good, I wish there were other options that had more of the rest of the ingredients in that combo, but maybe half the rice cakes since the dish definitely needed some more of the other foods involved to balance the combo. I liked the texture of the ramen and the topokki was nice and chewy - wasn't quite used to the fact that it wasn't cut into usual pieces, just long rice cakes, though I don't have these often. It seemed maybe a little overpriced as well. The real struggle was opening the plastic cover they heat sealed across the top of the container. Instead of coming off in one piece, it kept tearing around the edges and would not peel off. It ended up in shredded pieces that curled up and splashed sauce and condensation all over the place when we tried to open it. It might be a better experience to try this place in person. The portion sizes are large and you can easily share it with two people. So while the price is may seem expensive, if you were splitting it they actually are more reasonable. So I'm not entirely sure what the dish is called but I ordered the option that has brisket in it. You place your order at the register and the staff is willing to ask any questions you may have. After you order, you'll wait until your name is called to pick up the food. When the food arrived, I was impressed with the proportion of the meal. I ordered the soft tofu ramen soup and a classic jjajang topokki, both less spicy for take-out, and I really enjoyed the tofu ramen soup and would definitely order that again and again. I can see how less spicy for the tofu soup can be too spicy for people with low spice level tolerance, so beware! It was perfect for me though, and you can always ask them for the spicy sauce on the side if you want to add more yourself. As for the jjajang topokki, I expected the sauce that comes with jjajangmyeon, and that's not what it was. Came here for a weeknight dinner. Ordered the rose tteokbokki. Presentation wise I don't think mine looked as nice as the other pictures I see posted and it looks like I might be missing one mandu (I saw 3 in other posts). Taste wise I thought it was pretty good. The sauce was pretty spicy but the dairy in it helped balance the spicy-ness. The rice noodles were perfectly chewy and I liked the addition of the ramen and fish cakes. The beef was okay on its own but dipping it in the sauce made it so much better. The mandu that it came with was vegetarian filled with japchae noodles. Overall I enjoyed it and would come back to try the other flavors next time I'm craving tteokbokki. read more

It is very heavy (at last the rose with the cream sauce is) so it might be a little much for some people. Value: at $22 for a medium, this dish is very well worth it. It's such a large portion and so filling that you could easily feed 2 people. Service: The take home packaging was so impressive. The ddukpoki was sealed completely so it wouldn't spill and my Mandu and brisket were stored separately to add at home. Ambiance: this is inside a food court inside a grocery store so it was nice to see that there is so much seating.
