    BYOB + Banchan
    Chris L.

Came here dinner with an amigo. we went with combo a. I selected this place because its BYOB. the combo a comes with 3 meats, steamed egg and we picked the tofu soup. the quality of the meat was really good. we enjoyed the food. my pet peeve is that we can't grill our own food. we were talking and the lady had to listen to our personal stories. the Banchan is good. the kimchi is not too old and fermented. my wife and my in laws would enjoy this place because they use charcoal. plenty of parking lot parking. bathroom is clean. Interior is very old but adds to the charm and how resilient this place been.

TLDR: great service, high quality meat, lowkey vibes This is a small Korean bbq restaurant off the highway and located in a strip mall. Very surprised to encounter this kind of restaurant in the area. Upon entering, you could see that this is a mom and pop shot as the only individuals were older Koreans and the workers. You could tell that the older Koreans have been coming here for a while. The meat was great, banchan was very good and our waitress cooked everything perfectly. I will definitely be coming back for more

An update to the week ago review, we've come here more often lately as visiting family, grocery run, meeting with friends, really any reason to be out is a great reason to eat at Keum Ho. While we joke that they could use a renovation, the charm is the well enjoyed nature inside where many decades of happy eating, sharing, and socializing have come thanks to the steadily great food with bonus points for the immense infusion of Korean media with the near dozen TVs all streaming a different channel of Korean media, and 1 often streaming football (that's soccer). The service is attentive as the staff have been here for a very long time with lots of experience and no signs of being jaded which is a double nod to the patrons who always seemingly enjoy the experience so much.

I'd give it an overall 4 rating but 3 for the stone pot rice dishes. It's kind of pricey (closer to $20 an entree), but it came with an adequate amount of veggies and side dishes. They definitely don't skimp on that, and they even have a cute little robot to deliver them. Service was fast because I guess the back is also very busy and the workers handle both. I got the Haemul dolsot (seafood rice on hot stoneware plate). It came with a thin layer of rice on the bottom, but I think it comes with too much sauce because I was unable to get a nice crispy layer of rice (and trust me I didn't touch the rice when it was sizzling). So that was disappointing because I love eating this. The kimchi was good in terms of sourness and spicyness (wasn't weak at all). Menu is diverse and they are having a bunch of promotions. They're in Korean so I don't know what the promotional flyers say. One is about a breakfast special and if you follow and share their instagram, they offer you a 5% discount (apparently only if you are eating kbbq). They also give a 5% discount if you pay in cash.

Delicious and would come back again. It's hard to find good Korean in Edison Nj and this is one of the better places. It's clean and food is good. The staff is very friendly as well. We stopped by on a Sunday 5 pm and not many tables but it was probably too early.

We went to try their bbq food for an early dinner. We ordered tofu hot soup and beef bbq. Their entrees are pricey. But we decided to try it. The tofu hot soup has fresh tofu and veggies. It tasted fresh and delicious. The beef was marinated and thinly sliced. Taste good, but it's so expensive. For a three thinly sliced beef cost $45, for me that's expensive. Service staff are attentive and helpful. Well lighted and clean dining area. We're not going to come back here again. We might as well go to Butcher 360 instead.

I came on a Saturday night around 6 and it was very busy. We were seated after about 10 minutes. After we ordered, we were brought the side dishes which were really good! I ordered the beef soondubu and my boyfriend got the chicken hot stone bibimbap. We also got the korean seafood pancake and order of shrimp tempura. Our food came relatively quickly and was piping hot! The bibimbap was delicious! The soondubu tasted like any other ones I've had and the portion was a bit small. The pancakes came towards the end if our meal but was definitely worth the wait. Since the restaurant was super busy, the staff was running around doing alot. But we didnt really know who our server was and it was difficult flagging someone down to ask for anything. The staff is really nice and makes suggestions though! The place itself has a very homey feel! They have barbecue grills on each table and there are rooms on the side too! I will definitely be coming back to try their bbq!

This is a no frills, casual Korean BBQ restaurant for those who enjoy authentic Korean food or would like to try it. The food is good! There is nothing special about the service aside from once you order and receive your meal, no one will disturb you until you request for their attention.

Really hard to find a decent Korean bbq restaurant away from fortlee. Yeah i would say this place could be considered just as good if not better. This place has Great food and also great service. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area

I tried to give this new spot a fair shot, especially because it's so close to me, but it was pretty disappointing to say the least. The cooked food selection was limited. No fried oysters?! On top of that, the cooked food that we did order was bland and bordered on nursing home food. Service was very slow even though it wasn't busy. It took almost an hour for the sushi to be served and we only ordered 2 rolls and a few pieces of nigiri. I noticed that there were way more waitstaff than sushi chefs. I didn't anticipate the restaurant to be so packed as it looks unassuming given its location, but I was wrong! Had to wait a good 30-40 minutes to get a table for 2. I've eaten at Ottoyee for months now, and each experience has been incredibly delicious. However, the only thing is that the wait time can run very long. Not for the food to arrive, but for placing the order. We tried to get the attention of the waiter on staff multiple times, but was either ignored or they were behind the screen attending to something else. The wait time was around 15-20 minutes, but this is likely attributed to the small staff. Otherwise though, they were incredibly kind and knowledgeable of the menu and we still had a delicious experience as usual.

Upon entertaining on a weekend evening, there were a few tables with patrons but not too busy. The restaurant did seem a bit understaffed with only one person taking orders / bringing food out, making it difficult to flag down this one person to successfully take our order and ask for anything additional throughout the night. Gyudon: for the price, we were really surprised at how small of a portion this was. It was not only in a small bowl, but the meat was layered on top perfectly deceiving you to think that there was more than there actually was. The majority of this dish was rice, and with limited sauce at that. As displayed on the menu images it was to be served with a runny egg, but unfortunately we got a fully cooked one (disappointing, as we were looking for something to mix with the rice!) Sushi: We got a 3 rolls and they were just alright. They were pretty small in size, with less rice than I'm used to (which is something I do like - I would rather more fish than rice!) With us getting spicy salmon, spicy tuna, and spicy scallop - they all kind of tasted the same, so I wish the fish wasn't as heavily masked with spicy mayo. Ramen: I got the black garlic ramen, and it wasn't the best, but wasn't the worst. I've purchased fresh ramen packages in the supermarket before and it tasted just like that, so it made me disappointed knowing I could achieve the same at home. The soup itself was extremely rich and fatty, and the charsiu had no flavor whatsoever leaving much to be desired. The main reason I'm rating this so low is upon having my last bites of sushi, I could tell something was off. I don't recall which specifically I had but I made a statement that it was extremely fishy and off putting. Fast forward later that night, I was hunched over the toilet vomiting with stomach pain - and I can deduct that the sushi was the culprit. I might consider trying Ottoyee again due to the great deals they have listed on food delivery apps, but the sushi quality (quite literally) put a bad taste in my mouth.

So when a friend chose Sushi O for her birthday outing I was less than excited, I was told they had hibachi style chicken and steak so that softened the blow. Sushi O is conveniently located off of route 1 in a medium size plaza with a good amount of parking. When you walk in, the soothing dim lights with the soft purple icicle lights is such a vibe, great for a date night. The music also has a soothing quality that almost puts you in a calming trance. The restaurant is well kept and clean. Let me tell you, the servers? Top notch. We were helped by a man when we first came in, and later a woman. Both were incredibly pleasant, attentive, and did not rush us at all. We were there from just before 6 until after 8... a record for our after work crowd!! I also left my favorite sunglasses behind which would have been so upsetting, but our female server ran out to make sure I did not leave without them, I was so appreciative. Last but certainly not least- the FOOD! So remember, I'm a sushi hater? No longer! They had a fantastic peanut and avocado roll that I ordered with soy paper instead of seaweed (I really don't like the taste of the sea) paired with the soy sauce it was a nice amalgamation of flavor and texture, I thoroughly enjoyed it. We also ordered pan fried gyoza and edamame for the table both extremely well executed. A friend said the gyoza was melt in your mouth quality and I felt that was quite accurate. I tried my friend's sweet potato roll which did have seaweed wrap on it but I actually really liked that too! For my meal I got hibachi steak. It was a generous portion and very tasty. I'm not big on mushrooms but I even gobbled those up- so good! With the hibachi meals you get plenty of food- salad, miso soup, your choice of hibachi style protein, hibachi mixed vegetables & hibachi rice. I had such a great experience at Sushi O, I will definitely be back. They have officially converted me!
