Great hotpot place! The food was fresh, the soup base was delicious, and the prices were very affordable. Friendly service and a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended!

An incredibly satisfying all-you-can-eat hot pot! This was the most enjoyable meal I've had since coming to the US. Boston Lobster: Can you imagine? As someone who lives in the Boston area, I actually had my first American lobster in New Jersey... It was large and very fresh, with firm flesh, and you could taste a distinct umami and sweetness. Salmon: It was of very high quality, with plenty of fat, and the thickness of the slices depended on the chef's skill. The slices in the picture were already very satisfying, but later when I ordered more, I got even thicker slices, which made me incredibly happy. Marinated salmon: It had a different marinade compared to what I've had in China, with a stronger ginger and scallion flavor and was more on the savory side. But it was still very delicious, as the ingredients were of good quality. Sweet Shrimp: It was fresh and sweet, but a bit small, about 1/3 the size of which in Japanese restaurants in China. But since it's all-you-can-eat, you can just order more. Durian: It was also fresh and perfectly ripe, and importantly, it was chilled just right - soft, smooth, sweet but not cloying, unlike the rock-hard frozen durian used in many Chinese buffets. For a durian fanatic like me, being able to eat all-you-can-eat durian in the US is truly a blessing... I also recommend the giant river prawn and shrimp paste, especially with the Thai sweet and tangy seafood sauce - flavorful and refreshing. The various cuts of beef were also of good quality, tender and with a rich, fatty aroma. However, the razor clams had sand in them, so I suggest they improve their cleaning process.

Great service. Great food. Everything was lovely. Wish I had taken more pictures. Customer service was on point. They gave great recommendations and made us feel at ease and welcomed. It was our first time and it won't be our last. When they say all you can eat, they mean it.

Came here yesterday for lunch to celebrate My birthday with my family. There were 15 of us. The place is huge and clean. The staffs were very nice and helpful. They explained everything and also assisted us to make our meal better. The meat and seafood very excellent quality. Even though the price is a little pricey but I think it is worth it. We are from Malaysia so the durian is the spot on. My siblings, nieces and nephew love it so much. It is all you can eat! I will definitely come back! Kudos to the server who served us. He Rocks! Sorry that I didn't ask for your name! Thank you for your excellent service!

Been here 3 times this year and Chongqing Wharf has quickly become my favorite restaurant. Probably the best hotpot in NJ, Chonqing Wharf uses some of the freshest, sometimes live ingredients. They offer a huge variety if seafood, meats, veggies, skewers, apps, drinks and even ice cream and bubble tea. The servers are always attentive and ready to replace dishes and utensils routinely. They are also very helpful if you don't know how their restaurant works as far as ordering from their tablets. Every table gets their choice of lobster or sea cucumber. Our lobster was prepared fresh and was still moving when we received it! Some of my favorites have to be the beef skewers and the mung bean noodles, and literally every type of beef. They even have different types of fresh sashimi as well as snowcrab legs. You will not leave this place here hungry! Pricewise, Chongqing Wharf is a bit more expensive than your average hotpot place. Since everything here is all you can eat, it has a $60 pp price tag which I do think is well worth it with how much seafood can fill yourself up on. I would also suggest researching sauce combinations before coming so you know how to make the best usage of their sauce bar. Also keep in mind hotpot restaurants will have you smelly after you leave so wear something casual. This is just a part of sitting in a restaurant full of steam. Pro tip: Pay with cash and you can order bubble tea at the end of your meal. Pro tip #2: Combine seafood soy sauce, a splash of hoisin, a splash of sesame oil, a splash of sesame sauce, a little sugar, green onions, and minced garlic to make a delicious hotpot sauce

My friend took me here on my first night in NJ...I was very surprised that it was an AYCE hotpot with a wide selection of seafood options. There were a ton of different options of meats, veggies, and appetizers. I was also super surprised that there was unlimited drinks too. Aside from the hotpot, I loved the sashimi. There, of course, is a time limit and you will definitely smell like hotpot when you leave. The wait staff is supper nice and service is quick. I would only say that it is pricey, but you do pay for great quality.

So happy that the weather has cooled down enough to have hotpot again!!! I missed this spot. The kind waitress even remembered me when I returned. The restaurant was packed when we arrived at 7pm and there was a short wait. Everything was A-ok per usual. Seafood was fresh and delicious and service was impeccable. Still one of my fav hotpot spots in NJ.

All you can eat hotpot with an amazing selection of seafood dishes, including king crabs! They will also give you a complimentary lobster for every two guests. The selection is vast with appetizers, sashimi, raw oysters, tons of meat, veggies & protein, and all you can drink soda! Unfortunately they no longer offer whole coconut as an option for drinks. The service is attentive and the food comes out fast. They are very strict about the 2 hour limit, so eat more and talk less. The only negative here is the ventilation. Be prepared to smell like hotpot for awhile, even though they offer you a bag for your jackets and bags, the smell permeates into your hair and even your pores lol. A small price to pay for a delicious meal!

I was looking forward to trying this hot pot! When I arrived I parked in their lot. I walked in and was greeted. The place was spacious and nice. I was sat and served by David and he was super nice. I ordered: Thai Tom Yum soup base tomato soup base passion fruit refresh tea fried bread fried shrimp Tempura Snow crab legs spicy boneless fish green Mussels crab meat potato corn instant noodles August steak slices The food was so good! I really like the two broths I picked. I also liked the passion fruit bubble tea! All in all I had a really good experience!

One of my favorite AYCE hotpot chains in the tristate area. They serve fresh shashimi and seafood along with all regular hotpot items. You can order on a iPad and they have unlimited drinks that are self serve.

$75 a person may seem like a steep price for hotpot, but it was definitely worth it. Everything was super fresh, the lobster was still moving when it got to our table. I loved the variety of seafood we could choose from. Even the sashimi was super fresh. Having the online queue system was super convenient as well so make sure to join before heading over! Service was very good. Servers were super attentive and checked in every few minutes to clean up the plates and take your orders. They offer a plastic bag when you arrive to put any jackets in, i highly recommend you use it since your clothes do smell once you finish eating. It is a 2 person minimum to eat here so make sure to bring some friends!

This is hands down my favorite hot pot place. I've been here many times and will absolutely keep coming back. Every visit is consistently amazing. The food selection is great - from lobster and crab to high-quality meats, sashimi, and so many options to choose from. Everything tastes fresh and premium. The spicy broths are also very good, perfectly spicy and flavorful. The service is also excellent. The staff is very attentive, friendly and on top of everything. It's a bit more expensive than some other hot pot spots in the area but it's 100% worth the price for the quality, variety and overall experience. This place feels like a special treat every time I go and is genuinely one of my favorite places to eat.

We were given an iPad and ordered the following: Preserved eggs mixed with tofu - Hubs and Daughter loved this a lot, especially the century eggs. She said that she wished that the bowl was bigger. She was fighting us for it. LOL Grilled Stripe bass (2 lb) with Spicy tofu pudding flavor, luncheon meat, golden combination, black fungus, beancurd stick, mini sausage, instant noodles. Hubs said that he would've preferred the buffalo fish because he thought it tasted better. But, it was too many bones for Daughter and I, so he got the stripe bass instead. This was delicious! It was nice and spicy but not too spicy. Just the right amount. We also ordered white rice, but we only got a bowl and was hoping for more. They were generous with the instant noodle, though. It came in a small casserole pot. Hubs love this place. He loves the presentation of the fish with sides surrounding it in a big rectangular heated platter. There's this big wall of video going on with karaoke for those who are interested in singing. There was only one other table dining when we were there, so no one was singing during that time. The hostess saw this and asked if we moved the table and told us not to do that... After we told her why we moved the table she said no don't do that. Odd... but ok. We got the pork sticky rice shumai, pork in garlic sauce over rice, sautéed string beans and pepper corn chicken. Shumai was ok. The pork in garlic sauce had way too much sauce and was a tad sweet for our liking; it was drowning in sauce. The strings and pepper corn chicken were very good. Both had a slight touch of heat. I wish we ordered differently but overall the food was ok. Our server was very nice and attentive. We're debating coming back to try more of the menu but with so many Asian/Chinese restaurants to try in Edison, I think we'd try someplace else.

My only tiny critique is that it leans a bit salty, but it's perfect when paired with white rice. The more you eat, the more addictive it gets! Stew Tofu with Crab Roe You have to get a scoop of this. The golden crab roe sauce perfectly coats the silken tofu. It's savory, sweet, and velvety, which beautifully cuts through the heat of the other spicy dishes. I could honestly down three bowls of rice just mixing it with this sauce.
