Garlic sauce drumsticks
Gary B.

This location was recommended by my colleague who grew up in the area. I love Korean Fried chicken and with the many sauces they offer I was very exited to give them a try. We chose four different 5 drumstick flavors; spicy galbi, spicy Caribbean, secret sauce and garlic. First, let me say this is a lot of food! Also, I was not expecting the drums stick to be so substantial/massive. Depending on your appetite 5 drumsticks pieces maybe enough. My colleague and I ordered 20 total drumsticks! We were staving and the order was too much...we polished it off but with some effort. Spicy Galbi: For me galbi isn't one flavor...this is me saying that it was very good. Caribbean spicy: their take on "jerk chicken" very good and flavorful take. Secret sauce: whatever the secret of this sauce is...to me it was unimpressive. Garlic: If you love Garlic like me this is amazing...they must marinate the drumstick in garlic for days because it's in every nook and cranny of the chicken meat. Seriously, a vampire would die standing next to you after eating this! Very very good! Every bite of chicken was amazing so why I'm not giving them 5stars? Ultimately I wanted crunchy and super crispy fried-chicken which I didn't get...there is no option to have the sauces on the side...and the sauces while good impedes crunchy chicken. Clearly their priority is the sauce and not the crispy part.

New kbbq chicken spot in the h mart food court. It's not bad. The flavors were definitely good. Got the spicy galbi which was fairly good in general. Also tried the honey garlic which I thought was a little too sweet. Chicken was cooked well. Nice and juicy. In general though I didn't like this place as much as other kbbq joints mainly because I thought there was way too much sauce. Now I love strong flavors but even I thought this was a bit much. Price was mid high 20s for 10 drum sticks. They quoted me a 20min wait for food to come out on a sat night but it ended up taking about 25

Hot Galbi Boneless

Been eyeing this place for a while now and finally got the chance to try it. We got one order of the medium boneless spicy galbi. It's kinda expensive but it did serve two people. It was hot when it came out and the sauce had a nice kick to it. The chicken was juicy but some of the thinner pieces were overcooked and was tougher to eat. I do want to go back and try the wings to see if those would be crispier like in the picture on the box. I wasn't a big fan of the sauce I got and would want to try another spicier one too.

TINY wings
Jennifer K.

Such a disappointment. This was the first time we've been to the H-Mart Edison location. The wings were TINY! They were the size of the head of our fork. Not only are the wings 1/3 of the size of other Korean Fried Chicken places in the area, but there was no crunch. Barely any batter. And because the wings were so tiny, the meat was dry! We had both bone-in and boneless. The boneless was stringy in texture from being dry. The flavors of the sauces were also not as good as we've had at other BB.Q Chicken locations, other than the Cheesling; that one still tasted good flavor-wise. If you want good Korean Fried Chicken, I recommend going to Boom Boom chicken in the same plaza or drive a little further down to Seoul Fried Chicken if you want more sauce options.

Soy garlic drumstick on right Wing in secret sauce.

First time coming to the new food court. Family wanted to try the fried chicken so we made a bee line to this place. We orders one drumstick with soy garlic sauce and wings in secret sauce. You get a buzzer for when your chicken is ready. After about 10 minutes buzzer goes off and we excited. The wings were tasty and the sauce was very nice . Crispy wings and coated well with sauce which was sweet and savory with just a hint of heat. The drumsticks were not good. The chicken was juicy but it had a weird taste. Not sure if it was the sauce or the chicken it self. Very off putting almost like a gamey taste. Also the soy garlic was a bit spicy which was very unexpected since it did not show spice on the menu. My mom took one bit and could not eat it since she does not eat spicy at all. The wings which was listed as spicy was less spicy than the soy garlic. So do try this place but maybe skip the soy garlic sauce.

The chicken is bad and not crispy and soggy. I got the original flavor and it took a long time to make. Not worth the price tbh.

I thought the chicken was really, really good - perfectly crispy with good spice embedded into it, and the chicken itself was really juicy. The honey they offer on the side is a good add-on, though I could probably do without the bread. It's pretty clean inside, and it's a quick-service setting - order at the counter, get a buzzer, go get it when it buzzes. It's usually been fairly busy the times I've been (I went back a few times with a gift card!), and I've enjoyed eating there each time.

I decided to pull in and give it a try and I'm glad I did. The place is pretty big inside and there is a lot of seating. There were three high School or maybe college kids in front of me who ordered relatively quickly and then I was up. Unsure what to get. I asked the guy who was taking the orders and he made some recommendations. I had went with the hot level chicken and it was slightly too spicy for my tastes. Not the fault of the restaurant and I feel like spice levels vary so much from place to place, but I normally like spicy food and I didn't find it. Unenjoyable but next time I would get the medium. The food came out pretty quick and originally apprehensive getting just too tenders. I thought they were a decent size. I ended up finishing most of the meal and had a handful of fries left over. So it is a decent amount of food. One of the additional things I didn't think I would be impressed with, but was is it the rice machine as the little Pebble ice which I think is always a nice touch. All in all a pretty nice chicken place and I would definitely come here again if I needed a meal and I was close by.

I wanted a 2- piece combo deal made from a breast and wing, regular spice. I found out immediately that those chicken parts were never on the menu, but the only choices were legs and thighs. The white meat was only available for sandwiches. That was disappointing. So I defaulted to a Chicken Deluxe Sandwich Combo (lettuce, tomato, fries, soft drink & Mango Peach Pie), on what appeared to be something like a Martin Potato Roll. It was a solid clucker sammy; good size fillet, semi crisp coating, simple mayo-based house sauce - but not comparable to the much larger, crisper Popeye's version; not to mention that the Pop-I store also sold all pieces of chicken separately and in combination. I didn't have to compromise. The fries are thinner than most fast food shops , but had good crunch and saltiness. The tropical juice collection is unique and the most distinct and flavorful part of the Jollibee's menu. I can't speak to their noodle offerings as I haven't tried them yet. I enjoyed the Mango Peach Pie (deep fried wrap), and their freebee special that I lucked into. Sweet and crisp like a dessert egg roll. This shop appears to be a favorite of the local Pinoy community which adds a nice cultural touch to the ambiance here. 3.5 Southeast Asian Stars. Don't be mistaken: this place is your quintessential hole-in-the-wall. The only seating is four or…read morefive stools along a counter; it's primarily a take-out place. And the neighborhood ... well, it's not exactly the best. That being said, it has some of the best Puerto Rican food I've tasted outside of my grandparents' kitchen. (My coworker tells me that the name is Dominican, but even she agrees that the food is Puerto Rican.) I realize that the name says 'Fried Chicken,' and they do have that as well. But if you head a little further back into the restaurant, they have rice (white or yellow) and beans (pink kidney beans, which I grew up calling habichuelas), and stewed beef or chicken. I've been coming here for years and have tried pretty much everything they offer (except for the fried chicken, ironically). All of it tastes just like the food my grandparents used to make: soul-satisfying and full of flavor. (Side note: sometimes their stewed chicken is a little dry, so I recommend trying the beef first!) Their portions are huge, especially considering how little you pay. I usually get a small order of yellow rice, beans, and beef and I always end up with at least half of it left over - not bad, considering that it's only around $5. (Another side note: They only accept cash, no cards.) All in all, if you're looking for good Puerto Rican soul food, this stuff is worth braving the rough neighborhood. Just remember to lock your car. (Seriously.)
